  Just choose another resort. Antigua is beautiful but the Royalton is far below standards

  I don’t like to leave bad reviews. If you look at the beauty of this resorts surroundings, it most certainly is Gods handiwork. Stunning beach. BUT there is no way this can be a Royalton Resort! We have stayed with Royalton the last 7+ years but this was our first time in Antigua. Please Please make this resort the same level as your others. It has so much potential. There are a lot of details that need attention. The biggest disappointment for us was the service and the food. We are not needy people and don’t require much but 90% of the staff seem absolutely irritated to be there and deal with people at all. Even to order a drink. We always bring lots of cash to tip because we like to bless people even if it’s all-inclusive but honestly very few people earned it. I’ve never in all our years of traveling seen anything like it. That excludes the Vibe Team! They are a lot of fun!!! The food is WAY below Royalton standards. Maybe more like a Holiday Inn. I would never ever return to this resort. Which is sad because the location is gorgeous. BUT, there are a ton of beaches in Antigua, definitely go to a different resort.

  Maliki is the best

  Great vibe team, great food and always lots to do really enjoyed playing bowling with Maliki . Apart from having a good entertainment team I really like location of the resort , the food is really good have a large variety 10/10

  Maliki from the vibe team was great! Food and drinks are great! Beach and view were wonderful staff friendly. Would come back.

  Waste of money, beautiful location.

  We are here now, and have 4 days until we leave. After staying at Royalton in Saint Lucia last January we expected a similar experience. Not the case. Food is terrible, steak restaurant was so bad, couldn't eat my food, Waitress was rude, the same at the other restaurant's. The reviews are correct, don't waste your money in staying here. Beach beautiful that's it.

  Royalton Antigua – Diamond Club Girls Trip Review

  We just returned from a girls trip to Royalton Antigua, where four of us stayed in the Diamond Club category in two rooms with butler service. Overall, the resort has a calm, relaxing vibe and is a good place to unwind. The Diamond Club experience was a highlight of our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the butler service was excellent. Our butlers were very helpful with dinner reservations and any room needs throughout our stay. While the rooms were clean, we did have several mosquitoes in the room. We also stayed in swim-out rooms, and while the water was freezing, it ended up being a fun option for a quick cold plunge. The beach was beautiful and extremely relaxing. The ocean sits in a protected cove with small mountains on either side, which keeps the water clean, calm, and completely wave-free — perfect for swimming and floating. If you’re looking for help with beach activities, including jet skis or excursions, Denzel is the person to find. He checked on us every day and was friendly and helpful. We did experience a plumbing issue that lasted several hours. During this time, the shower water suddenly became extremely hot and I was scalded, and the toilets did not flush for several hours. While the issue was eventually resolved, it was stressful while it was happening. Bar service was inconsistent. Most of the bartenders gave us the feeling that they didn’t really want to be there, which affected the overall experience. That said, a few bartenders truly stood out. Dermany and J’quan provided excellent service. J’quan, in particular, made our trip extra fun — our mission was to drink every color of the rainbow, and he delivered, looking for us daily and creating drinks in any color we wanted. The food was just okay overall. There were only a handful of included restaurants, and the variety felt limited during the stay. The highlight for us was the coffee shop, especially the fresh croissants, which were consistently excellent. The gym was small but offered a good range of equipment; however, some machines were in need of repair or maintenance. We traveled in January, and the crowd skewed older during that time. Staff mentioned that younger crowds usually arrive around spring break. Nightlife was minimal, making this resort better suited for relaxation rather than a party atmosphere. Overall, Royalton Antigua is a solid choice if you’re looking for a peaceful, laid-back getaway — especially with Diamond Club perks, a calm beach, and a few standout staff members who truly enhanced our experience!
