Oct 27, 2025Best hotel and staff in Cancun! MB restaurant can't be beat!
The service at the hotel was impeccable. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. They know your needs without even asking. Highly recommend MB restaurant. The food was exquisite. Julio, manager Rodolfo and Chef William made it a memorable experience. We will definitely be back!

This was the 2nd time my husband and I have stayed at the Live Aqua. The first time was shortly after they opened 20 years ago. The resort was basically the same as I remembered, with aromatherapy throughout the resort. We booked an Aqua suite and were taken to the Aqua Club for check-in when we arrived. It was there we met one of our butlers, Ruddy. He showed us to our room and provided us with information about daily activities via whatsapp. He also made dinner reservations for us and answered any questions we had. The next day, we met the other butler, Romero. They both provided us with excellent service and were prompt in answering any questions we had. Our room was on the top floor at the end of the building so we had a view of the ocean and the bay. It was a nice room, however, there were a few issues. The toilet seat was loose and needed to be tightened to keep it from sliding around when I sat on it. One of the curtains had come unhooked from the curtain rod (not a big deal , but something they should have fixed). We had heavy rain a couple of nights and the rain leaked from the sliding door into our room, so we had to dry that in the mornings. We had turndown service one night of our 5 nights there. I’m not sure why it was only one night. Maybe they only do it on Tuesday nights, who know. We ate at the MB restaurant 2 nights and had the habanero soup, which lived up to the hype and filet. The second visit we had fish of the day, which was not our favorite. We had breakfast at Azur twice and highly recommend the French toast. It was the best I’ve ever eaten. Ariel provided excellent service with a smile and excellent recommendations. We had dinner at Siete thinking it was a buffet, but it was not. Dinner was ok there. We had breakfast one morning there, which is good if you want to eat something light. Thursday night was Mexican night with a Mariachis and folkloric dancing. Don’t miss this if they have it while you’re there. The food and show was excellent. The Aqua is in an excellent location, with a shopping center across the street and a bus stop at the Westin next to the resort. Overall it was a nice stay. I don’t know if we would go back again. We travel to the Cancun area every year and have stayed at several different resorts there. There are several new resorts that have opened this year, so we’ll probably try some of them.

Out of this world AMAZING!!
The staff at the resort was beyond anything I had expected. This was my first time at the resort and will absolutely be back again in the near future. We had Jonathan at the pool side and he went above a beyond! He made the experience even better! Everything I needed or wanted was included at my stay. I wouldn’t change a thing! The resort had a great layout, and easy access to restaurants, activities and events the resort hosted on a daily basis! Water aerobics was one of a kind. I would absolutely suggest ocean view or ocean front! It was well worth the money to wake up in the morning to the beautiful sunrise and looking over the resort at night all lite up! Overall I had an absolute blast. I don’t have a single complaint about anything from the resort, staff, food or the overall atmosphere! Loved every moment!

Best pool waiter Jonathan!!
We cannot thank Jonathan our pool waiter enough for making our time there memorable and so relaxing. He is so fun to be around and makes you feel like family immediately! He remembers your drink what you like to eat, the most importantly when you need a refill on your drink! He is spot on the best pool waiter we could ask for! He makes our decision to return to Live Aqua so easy! This was our fifth trip back and we can’t wait for the next!
