Great for service, Lacking style.
The Good: Almost entirely excellent service and consistently friendly staff (except at the beach bar). Restaurant Variety good. Showers and Molton Brown body wash at the beach an excellent touch. Good number of beach loungers available. Room very clean and well kept. Beautifully well maintained beach and perfect sea. Nice touches in the room - personalised washcloths and decorations. Use of hospitality room after checkout a huge plus. Very attentive, polite and helpful Butlers (Isaias and Eladio). Excellent quality and reasonably priced massages in the spa. The sea corner food and service was particularly exceptional. Hotel was clean and tidied consistently. The Bad: Not a single good dessert the entire trip. The new years eve set menu and service was disappointing and mostly inedible. Despite being labelled as LGBT+ friendly we overheard multiple guests make homophobic remarks to each other about us. Constant pressure to tip at every single interaction. Wine options extremely poor and cocktail quality poor (until we learnt to specify our preferred spirit, then much better). Old fashioned restaurant dresscode is not appropriate in todays world. We always dressed formally for dinner but were met with issues at times due to not fitting typical ‘male’ wardrobe choices of long sleeves. Other guests were permitted in plain shorts and t-shirts but our formal outfits were declined due to not fitting gender stereotypes. General standard of singers and performances/entertainment very poor. The club level bar is not worth visiting (but the club upgrade is worth it for the butler service and the extra care such as private check-in and hospitality room). Overall decoration is tacky and garish and although always clean, is a little tired in places. We would consider returning for the service and the beach but if you prioritise style and food and drink quality, look elsewhere.

Relaxing Days at Live Aqua Cancún
We had extremely relaxing days at Live Aqua Cancún. The all-inclusive concept is very well executed, with excellent facilities, great comfort, and a perfect atmosphere for unwinding. I would especially like to highlight Marco, the pool waiter, who truly made a difference in our experience. He was always attentive, caring, and kind, anticipating our needs and making us feel very welcome. I would also like to thank all the hotel staff, who were consistently friendly, polite, and professional throughout our stay. The hotel is located on a beautiful beach, with pleasant waters and a great stretch of sand, and it offers very good facilities that are well maintained and comfortable. Without a doubt, an excellent choice for anyone looking for relaxation, great service, and a high-quality all-inclusive experience in Cancún.

Live Aqua - still the best after 14 years
Live Aqua Resort Cancun continues to live up to is exceptional reputation as a top notch all-inclusive resort. We stayed for 9 nights in mid-December and it was our 14th stay at LA. This resort remains our home-away-from-home. Aside from its gorgeous and lush grounds, beautiful guest rooms, and phenomenal restaurants and food, the staff are the #1 reason we return year after year. They are so very friendly and will do everything in their power to ensure you have a great stay. We absolutely adore the “family” we have met there– Ale, Marysol, Andres (Andy ) were our outstanding servers on the beach. Flavio, Edouard, Fransico all helped get us set up on the beach. Luis (makes you feel like a VIP) and Oscar at Azur. Luiza (who shared her birthday cake with us) and Elizabeth at Siete are so fun! Jonathan (top notch and always moving!), Graciel and Morelia (Aqua Lover Reps), Daniel (best morning coffees) & Guillermo (great drinks) in the Aqua Club, Marco (and his amazing smoothies) are just a few and there are so many others who go above and beyond. Each one of them gives a little more of themselves each time we visit. This year we had two terrific butlers: Arturo and Viri. They did their best to get us dinner reservation times we wanted and helped us get a TV and WiFi issue in our room fixed. They checked in with us several times each day to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and having a wonderful time…and to see if there was anything they could do to improve our stay. Everyone, I mean everyone, from room service to housekeeping to groundskeeping work so hard to please you. As for recommendations: you should try every restaurant at least once. Each are so different and you never know what will surprise you as your favorite. The paella found near Verena, around 2pm each day is a MUST as is the habanero soup and veal cheek in MB and the poblano soup in Siete at night. If you are so inclined, make sure to take advantage of the Spa…wonderful massages! If you are looking for a non-spring break atmosphere type resort look no further than Live Aqua Beach Cancun. You will not be disappointed.

Stellar service at Live Aqua Cancún
My husband and I love the Live Aqua Cancun resort. Our 4th stay at this amazing resort was December 25 through the 29th and it was beyond exceptional. Our butlers, Eladio and Isa, made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. They stayed on top of all of our requests no matter the time of day or night and handled everything with a smile and the upmost professionalism. They’re passionate about their job and truly connect with the guests they serve - we appreciate that immensely. We love the use of communication through What’s App. Eladio and Isa delivered a morning checkin which included the daily resort activities, restaurant menus, and other relevant details for the day which made our experience so seamless and stress free. The many pools, bars, and restaurants that were at our disposal are incredible and the lush tropical grounds and white sandy beach create a magical experience day and night. We really felt like part of the family during our stay and this is one of the main reasons we continue to rebook at this amazing resort. Thank you Eladio and Isa and all of the amazing staff at LA! See you again soon! We will definitely request them again on our next stay!!!

A Slice of Paradise at Live Aqua Cancun
My wife and I vacationed here 12/13/25-12/20/25. It was our first visit, but it will not be our last. The weather was near perfect [only rained on our last full day] and very pleasant with highs of 84F degrees and no seaweed on the beaches. It is the perfect time of the year to visit this beautiful luxury resort. Here are just a few of the things we appreciated and enjoyed: Lush Greenery: This resort has lots of tropical landscaping and makes it makes you feel extra special and exceptional. There are palm trees, flowers, waterfall features and so much more. Beach: The beach at Live Aqua is the nicest stretch of beach in the Hotel Zone. It is very long and never feels crowded. They have some lovely hammocks and a nice beach bar that is equipped with swing chairs. They work very hard to keep their stretch of beach healthy and happy. During the early morning hours I noticed them using tractors to finely rake and maintain their soft sand. They have achieved Blue Flag Certification! Pools: Each of the seven (7) pools are individually heated and kept at different temperatures – great idea!! We preferred to use the warmest round-shaped pool, which is located directly in front of the Cabana Check-in Hut on the north side. The pools are lovely and are very close to the beach, resulting in a very easy short walk to the beach. Every day we relaxed on our Amazon purchased Hammock Pool Floats, as this resort permits the use of floats in their pools. Most of the long stretches of pools are quiet and relaxing. The swim up bar pool to the far left (if looking at the beach) is separate from the more relaxing pools, as they play louder music and is livelier. The infinity pools are breathtaking and a wonderful place to cool off while watching the gorgeous ocean. Cabanas: We love that this resort has cabanas and lots of them. Cabanas are for rent [$90 UDS / day] and are included with all suite bookings (Viento, Tierra, Aqua, Fuego or Presidential). We love that there are so many areas to choose from on the beach, to mid-way and around all of the pools. Food can be served at the cabanas mid-way and around the pools. Drinks are served in all areas. However, food is not permitted on the beach for environmental reasons, as they have a Blue Flag Certification. Dining: We initially enjoyed having an early 7:30am breakfast at Azur until they introduced a brand new/revised menu mid-point of our stay. We happily opted to enjoy the buffet breakfast at Siete thereafter, which was fantastic and it provided a very large variety of freshly maintained delicious options, including multiple made-to-order egg omelet stations, a smoothie bar and a Bloody Mary station with vodka and recipe condiments. There are so many wonderful lunch options to choose from at this resort - we loved Azur, Sea Corner and the grilled station for lunch. Both Azur and Sea Corner are practically on the beach and the views, food and services are excellent! There is a large outdoor grilling station across from Verona serving delicious BBQ ribs and chicken daily. Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m., one large fresh batch of Paella is prepared and served in front of Verana Restaurant until it is completely devoured by the guests. At 4:00 p.m. every day, a made-to-order crepe cart is stationed outdoors just out by the entrance door near Aka Bar – they were delicious! There is also a very delicious and freshly made-to-order Sushi Bar [allow 10-15 minutes for your order to be freshly prepared] located across from Aka Bar that is open daily from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. There are some drink and food options available daily/nightly at the Starbucks Café and all is included. Keep in mind that sometimes one restaurant may be closed for the night, as they offer a very nice Mexican Fiesta Show with a huge dinner buffet near the south pools weather permitting; and the same happens for Circus Night [a Mexican version of a “Cirque du Soleil” style show]. Both shows were very entertaining, and we thought the Mexican Dinner Buffet food and quality was much better than the Circus Dinner Buffet. Don’t miss them!! We had a fabulous dinner at MB and celebrated my wife’s 58th birthday there with the assistance of their wonderful staff – the food was very good. We also enjoyed Verona and Azur for dinner and highly recommend both. Hidden Garden is always a beautiful spot for dinner. No reservations are required for dinner, but because we had a butler (for Aqua Club and Suite level rooms only) we were able to make advance reservations and not wait in line to get into the restaurants. We really enjoyed this great perk! Entertainment: There are many things going on every day. The key is to make sure you have the weekly entertainment sheet (comes out every Monday) so that you don’t miss anything that you want to take part in. There is everything from yoga, bingo, live music sessions, water aerobics, beach volleyball, bracelet making, Casino Night, Mexican Fiesta, Circus, DJ, magician, karaoke, music trivia and much more. My wife and I really enjoyed making bracelets together. This is not a huge party resort, but there are so many things happening. When it rains [it did on our last full day], the staff switched to “Rainy Day” mode and promptly distributed and posted a rainy day schedule of fun events to keep everyone happy and entertained. Now that’s great management planning!! Aqua Club: Since we had initially booked a standard Aqua Club Oceanfront King room, we were able to check in and check out on the 5th Floor Aqua Club. It is very quiet there and the views are incredible. It is a great place to catch the sunset and to have a wonderful higher quality alcoholic drink. When you have Aqua Club access, you will be assigned two (2) butlers that will communicate to you via What’s App. daily. They will do anything possible to make your stay the best it can be. Upon my arrival, I secretly provided my butlers with birthday decorations for my wife to decorate our upgraded Aqua Suite on our second day. My wife was so surprised by the decorations that she was shedding tears of happiness upon her initial viewing. During our check-in process, we were offered to upgrade our room to an Aqua Suite [Suite 1403] and I successfully negotiated a very reasonable upcharge for the same. It was definitely worth the upgrade, as the Suites include a free daily Cabana rental and 20-minute foot massage that my wife immensely enjoyed. Staff: The staff really make this resort special. They are super friendly, kind and work incredibly hard to please you. It amazed us to learn how long many of the staff members have been employed at this resort. Cheers to all of the staff at Live Aqua! Our Butlers, Arturo and Viriiana, did a fabulous job! They really were on top of things and we appreciated everything they did every day for us! They executed my wife’s birthday decoration instructions exactly as I had instructed them to do so and sent me written text confirmations upon completion. They were able to make/confirm dinner reservations, add our favorite drinks to our fridge, promptly address minor maintenance and housekeeping requests, answer any questions etc. If you have never been to Live Aqua before, your butler with show you around your room and explain all about the resort. They will send you updated entertainment information and restaurant info as well, along with resort maps, daily follow-ups and updates. Special thanks and shout out to those in Housekeeping Department who took great care of our suite. It was spotless! We enjoyed our first visit so much that we already booked another stay here in mid-December 2026!! See you next year!
