Terrible rock hard beds
We stayed at the Riu Palace Antillas Nov 16-20. Two rooms. I had a great time, I thought that the staff was very friendly and attentive and overall the hotel was clean and well kept. Unfortunately, one night around midnight there was no water and it seemed to turn back on in the morning, so I don’t know what happened there. The ocean and the beach were perfect. I didn’t use any of the pools because I prefer the ocean. The food I thought was also great. Great choices in the buffet and the à la cart restaurants- I also enjoyed, but I really disliked the idea of having to wait in line or showing up to the restaurant and finding out that there were no more times available. You could not make reservations- it was first come, first served. Terrible system. And so we only actually went to only two of the à la carte restaurants. That was super disappointing. I can’t really find too much to complain about with the hotel, except for the fact that the beds are absolutely, unbelievably uncomfortable!!! They are sooooo hard, mine was only slightly tolerable, but my friend’s was like sleeping on a slab of concrete. She was in agony. We complained about the beds, but we were told basically that’s just how they are 🙄🙄 and I don’t know how anyone got any sleep, because it was just so uncomfortable. You would wake up in the morning with a headache and your back and everything else hurting. There would be absolutely nothing stopping me from going back to this hotel, except for those damn beds. I cannot understand why such a popular hotel chain that gets so many complaints about their beds in that hotel, why they would not replace the mattresses!!! It makes no sense for a business to continue to operate with such an integral part of the experience being so subpar. Great hotel, great food, fabulous employees, great rooms, great location, but horrendous beds.

Great stay
Overall great experience at RIU Antilles with our 22 year old daughters! The location is perfectly situated right on Palm Beach and the border of Eagle Beach with gorgeous white sand beaches and some snorkeling nearby. Spacious rooms (we had a great view of the ocean) and beautiful pool area with plenty of chairs and cabanas as well as palapas on the beach and swim up pool bar were very nice. It is a short walk to all restaurants, shops and bars in Palm Beach but you won’t want to leave for any restaurants because the food is amazing. We ate at the buffet almost every night because we loved the amazing selection of freshly prepared and delicious seafood, fish, chicken and fresh vegetables and tropical fruits as well as many, many other options. They also have plenty of nondairy, vegetarian and gluten free options for those with dietary restrictions. The service was top notch and all of the staff were friendly and helpful and really seemed to enjoy working there. The resort is kept very clean and follows eco-friendly protocols. Just a few minor inconveniences. It was always the same loud hip hop music that our girls enjoyed but we didn’t. Would be nice if they could change it up a bit. The keys very often became demagnetized even when they were not stored near cell phones which required frequent visits to the lobby. This is more of an inconvenience if you are on a high floor as there are 18. Lastly there were no outside area not off limits to smoking. As someone who is highly allergic to tobacco smoke this is a problem. Overall a great stay!

Awesome!
I would like to start out by saying that we could not have had a better experience. The shuttle from the airport to the hotel was on time. When we arrived our room was ready, clean and comfortable. Kevin at the elite check in was wonderful. Everything we needed was taken care of down to dinner reservations. I was constantly saying that I could not believe how clean the property was, how hospitable the staff was, we were able to eat at all the specialty restaurants, our mini fridge stayed stocked. The elite bar and restaurant were on point. We found the food options to be very good. We were there for our 40th wedding anniversary and the staff made sure everything was perfect! Truly, heaven on earth!! Yes, it is expensive, but I felt the price was worth the service. We are looking forward to returning to this awesome resort.

Most Amazing Vacation
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Riu Aruba. The resort is very clean, beautifully maintained, and the accommodations were excellent. The food was good, and the staff across the resort was friendly, professional, and attentive. We especially want to recognize Thalia and Nelson (Daryl), two bartenders who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Their service and personalities truly stood out. The only issue we experienced was with the beach. Although staff were cleaning during the day, the beach did not always appear to be combed overnight, and there was some debris left behind by guests. This was a minor issue in an otherwise fantastic vacation. We had an amazing time and would absolutely return to Hotel Riu Aruba.
