Privilege check in
Angel and Jennifer at the privilege reception are super friendly and made sure our requests were made in full! We love this place!! Thank you so much

Pleasant stay but probably not a 5 star.
Probably not a five star hotel. Rooms were kept clean and bed was comfortable. Food choice was ok didn’t go hungry. Although some restaurants you had to wait for. Also booking system for restaurants not the best, you can only book on the day not in advance and for one restaurant you had to queue to book at 8am! Cocktails and drinks were very sweet so not to my taste. Entertainment not the best and repeated weekly, so if you’re there for 2 weeks…. Lots of the daytime activities for privilege rooms only. Karaoke nearly every night, loud Americans shouting down a microphone not really my cup of tea. Piano player was good if u could hear him over the loud cackling people still in there from karaoke. Also a no smoking resort but allowed shish pipes to be smoked indoors inside the small piano bar! Probably better used outside space! Lots of seaweed on the beach and didn’t seem to be cleaned up very often probably due to time of year and a never ending job for staff. Not many choices of swimming pools unless you are in privilege accommodation. Was plenty of sun loungers at the time of visit.

June visit
Lovely welcome! Excited to start our holiday! Resort is beautiful and we were welcomed to the privilege area with fresh drinks of strawberry daiquiri and milkshakes for the children. Our bags have been taken straight to the room also. Thank you Jennifer!

🌴 Final Review: Ocean Riviera Paradise (El Beso Section – June 2025) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
My wife and I are a newly married couple, and we stayed at Ocean Riviera Paradise for a week… and honestly, it was one of our favorite trips yet 💛 We were lucky to upgrade to El Beso on arrival… and were welcomed with Bon Bon chocolates and a bottle of brut in our room. Check-in was smooth and friendly… though the room wasn’t ready when we arrived in the morning… totally expected at that time. ✨ Our Room (El Beso Junior Suite): Huge, spotless, and well-equipped. The air con worked perfectly… there was daily housekeeping and fridge refills… and we had hot water consistently. Ordering OceanEats to the room (no extra charge) was a cozy, lazy afternoon treat. 💦 Pools & Vibes: We LOVED the El Beso pool… shaded bars… peaceful atmosphere… and no kids or rowdy teens (unlike the main pools which were lively and loud… go there if that’s your vibe). El Beso was perfect for chilling. 🎨 Activities: We followed the H10 schedule and had a blast… even if we were the only ones doing some of the classes 😅 We got a private coffee tasting, painting session, and more. Like, come on guys… get involved 😆 🍽 Food & Restaurants: We tried all the restaurants we could… and here are the standouts: • Blue Moon (no reservation needed)… our fave for both breakfast (El Beso exclusive, with menu) and dinner. • Sakura Teppanyaki… hit or miss. We went twice… the first chef was hilarious and super interactive (true dinner + a show)… the second was quiet and less engaging. • Route 66… don’t sleep on it. Great food… and Carlos made us feel so welcome. 🍹 Drinks: Margaritas and frozen daiquiris? YES PLEASE. We also loved the Ocean Maya cocktail. Drink quality varied depending on the bartender… but tipping a little really made a difference! 🎭 Entertainment: The dancers deserve so much more love… the shows were full-on performances with passion and energy. We were genuinely impressed! 😻 CATS!!! Okay… the real stars of the resort? The cats. Cute, friendly, and a little wonky in the best way. If you sneak them a little salmon from a Mike’s Coffee bagel… we won’t tell 😉 🧖♀️ Spa Experience: Highly recommend. We did a couples massage and had a private room… clean, relaxing, and felt luxurious. 🚌 Other Tips: • The resort has its own shuttle buses that work like little stops… so convenient (and kinda fun 😄). • Want to see monkeys? Walk toward Eden before 9am… trust us. • Avoid the Saturday market on-site unless you want pressure and high prices… we saw the same things cheaper at Walmart. • If you visit 5th Avenue and someone says “Hey I was your waiter, it’s my day off!”… they weren’t. Classic scam. • Download inDrive… it works like Uber and is WAY cheaper than local taxis. ❌ Warning: Traffic Tours We booked Coco Bongo through them… don’t. You get pressured before you even get your room key. There’s no proper refund process… and they refuse to give anything in writing. I won’t let this taint my review of the resort itself… but avoid them completely. 💛 Special Shoutouts to Staff: • Carlos at Route 66… charming, attentive, made our meals a vibe. • Maday, Madahi, Karina, Sonia at Mike’s Coffee… total sweethearts. Treated us like royalty every single visit. • Victoria (official Coco Bongo rep in the bright yellow shirt)… not pushy at all. She sat and laughed with us like a friend. If we could take someone home as a bestie… it’d be her. 10/10 vibe. • Christobal at the front desk… only 19 and already working so hard with such professionalism. • Angel at the buffet… his name fits. So kind and genuine. 🎉 Overall… this resort was more than a vacation… it was a vibe. Great food… even better people… and just enough animals and margaritas to make it unforgettable. Would we come back? Absolutely… just with more 20s and 50s for tipping and a bigger suitcase for our new cat friends
