Amazing holiday
Kids loved Ana and Cynthia - daytime kids club was great! Night shows for Family not as good as we are used to - few productions. Kids club activities were great though! Food was 5* excellent, I am gluten free and had gf pasta, pizza, many dishes cooked fresh so I could ensure I was ok. Staff were amazing! Mike's Coffee shop and the gym were surprises we thoroughly enjoyed. Animals everywhere which we all adored. The layout of the resort works so well for us as a family. The older kids area was well equipped! Facilities were all 5* and everything we needed to hand. My only negative part to the review would be the 9pm entertainment... not many shows, and only one night a kids disco. On our third night and only one production we have watched. Which we missed as we assumed the shows would be great. otherwise the rest was enough to still leave 5* review!

Different than AI's we are used to. Great employees!!
I want to start by saying that the staff at this resort are so friendly. However, that alone will not bring me back to this resort. There are too many things that were just annoying or a hindrance to having a nice relaxing trip. 1. Upon check in we were walked out of the lobby and a gentleman told us to walk down the path, past the Steakhouse, and we would find our building. It took us awhile to find our room and felt like we had just kind of been left to our devices. 2. 2 beers ONLY in the mini fridge. I felt like I was being rationed like an irresponsible college kid. Very bizarre policy. 3. If you are a "beach" person, this resort is not for you. It does not look like the picture. A lot of the sand was washed away and there are huge sandbags to "hold" the rest from washing out. 4. If I was asked once, I was asked 1000 times (sometimes twice at the same meal) if I had any allergies. I understand the rationale but why do we need to be asked SO much? 5. The process of getting into any and all restaurants is really different from most AI resorts. We had to stand in line, give our room number and allergies to the hostess and then had to wait to be seated. While it's not a big deal, there is just more convenience when you can walk in yourself and find a table. 6. Food. Not my favorite. Not a lot of options from day to day. Usually the same items. A lot of waiting in lines to get breakfast items that are fresh. Out of 6 days, I actually got to the bacon 3 times before it was gone. Lots of running out and waiting on staff to refill food items. The "heat" lights don't keep things warm very long, so fingers crossed you catch them refilling. The specialty restaurants were not any better quality. 7. Order 2 drinks from the very beginning during mealtime, because usually you won't be asked if you want/need a refill. 8 Take your own salt and pepper. They don't set it out and it took awhile for our waiter to find a shaker a few times. The rooms were okay and the patio/balcony was spacious. We had no trouble finding chairs at the pool or at the beach so that was a giant plus. We had a good time but the overall vibe is they are trying to save money by not keeping food stocked in buffet, allowing 2 beers per room, not providing refills, etc. Glad we tried it but it's definitely a "one and done" for us.

Great Resort - Bad Personal Jacuzzi at Room 4129
The people, amenities, and environment here were AWESOME! Fernando at guest service was a great help, Carlos the cab driver was excellent and everyone was very kind. I would give 5 stars if our jacuzzi worked. We asked the front desk about fixing our jacuzzi that I payed extra for (room 4129) and when a technician came out to look at it, he said it was functioning normally when only half of the water was working. Despite this, our stay was excellent!! Great honeymoon experience.
