    Worth the price

Although the resort is a little outdated, I will say that is the I my reason I don’t give it 5 ⭐️. Other than that we were super happy with the resort. As a girls getaway we felt completely safe, all the guests were well mannered, even the kids. The pools stayed open til 8(other resorts we’ve stayed at in Mexico closed much earlier). There was always some sort of entertainment every night. This is a great resort for adults and families. Probably not ideal for young adults wanting a party experience, I feel like that’s a lot of the poor reviews I’ve seen. For the $ I recommend this resort. Not sure if the pyramid is worth it, we don’t do the upgrade but we’re satisfied with the basic package. The staff was super friendly and I have no complaints!!

Don’t go. Zero night life. Up selling like crazy.

Im 5 days into a 7 day vacation and currently at the resort. Probably one of the worst all inclusive hotels I have been to and wish I would have done way more research about the place. The rooms and grounds are clean, the food is okay and staff are mostly friendly. As others have said, if you want to have access to most of the resort you have to be a Pyramid guest or they nickel and dim you. If you want to come to this resort don’t book Grand Oasis, book Pyramid. If you are the type to hang around the pools and get drinks, expect to wait 30+ minutes in line for drinks. There is little to no shady spots available around the pools or beach. When i booked in, we were left to figure out the place on our own so make sure you download their app and ask lots of questions. There is lots of “staff” around but they are all selling trips, etc sometimes it feels like there is more staff selling crap than there is guests. 95% of the other patrons are Spanish speakers. No big deal just good for you to know. There is zero night life at this resort. You will want to leave the resort to do anything fun in the evening. There is “entertainment” in the evening but nothing to dance to and kind of boring They have live bands playing, most of it’s pretty slow and not very engaging. If I could advise Air Canada Vacations to do one thing. It’s to remove this resort from their catalog for a while.

    - Extremely Disappointed, Not Truly All-Inclusive

We are currently staying at Grand Oasis Cancun Resort with our family — including kids and elderly parents — and we are extremely disappointed with our experience. This resort falsely advertises itself as all-inclusive, but that’s far from the truth. Most of the restaurants and amenities are NOT actually included in the “all-inclusive” package. The few that are included have extremely limited options and long wait times. We were misled into believing we would have a wide range of dining options, only to find out that almost everything requires additional payment — even basic services you’d expect from an all-inclusive resort. This has made our vacation incredibly frustrating and stressful, especially with children and seniors in our group. We chose this resort specifically because it claimed to be family-friendly and truly all-inclusive, but the reality is completely different. We do not recommend this resort to anyone looking for a genuine all-inclusive experience. Save your money and go somewhere that actually delivers what it promises.

Avoid This “5-Star” Disaster – Misleading and Overrated!

I wish I could give this hotel zero stars. After reading so many glowing reviews, I was excited for a relaxing, all-inclusive getaway—but what I got was an overpriced, frustrating nightmare. First, the food. Absolutely disgusting. Despite the hotel boasting “gourmet dining,” every meal was bland, cold, and poorly prepared. The buffet was a joke—lukewarm, dried-out food that looked like it had been sitting there for hours. Even the à la carte restaurants were disappointing, with overcooked dishes and minimal options. Second, the “all-inclusive” package is a scam. I expected to have access to all the restaurants and bars, but nope—I was turned away from several because they were either “reserved for VIP guests” or required an extra fee. Nowhere was this mentioned when booking. How is it all-inclusive if I have to pay extra for half the resort’s amenities? And if you like standing in long lines for everything, this is the place for you! Whether it was check-in, getting a drink at the bar, I had to wait in endless queues. By the time I finally got served, I had already lost my patience. This is worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Save your money and go somewhere that actually delivers on its promises.

    Avoid this hell hole

Avoid this place at all cost! Went in 2016 and 2017 and now again in 2025 they always try to sell you some vacation club package. It’s a timeshare and if you do your research you can you can see the reviews on this place that are negative say it all. Nothing is as described in the package deal it says all inclusive, but it’s not you need to upgrade to a black bracelet and each time I’ve gone I’ve had to do that in order to get anything that was even remotely resembling food. If you don’t download the app and make reservations probably weeks before you even show up you won’t get into any good restaurants. The only half decent restaurants that are included. You’ll have to wait in line including the buffet and rude people will cut in front of you. All of the alcohol that they have at any of the bars is no name brands local to Mexico. They have a tequila bar, but there’s only three bottles of tequila, Jose Cuervo some silver tequila and then whatever that worst one that they had as well. Just do your research and find a place that’s actually on inclusive and not a huge scam
