Very Enjoyable
My wife and I had a great time at Fiesta Americana Cozumel. It's a smaller resort and never seemed crowded. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The air conditioner worked great. Only negative is very low water pressure. The housekeeping staff did a terrific job. Really enjoyed the Oriental Restaurant. The restaurant staff members are friendly and attentive. Food was good. It was easy to book activities through the concierge staff. The pool appears to have been redone and there is no longer tile as talked about in other reviews and is pretty and always clean. The ocean cabanas and plunge pool are lovely. There is easy snorkeling from the dock area with lots to see underwater. There is no sandy beach area. The resort atmosphere was laid back and casual. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment. We will definitely consider going back to this resort.

Very Average Resort, Time Better Spent Somewhere Else
ROOM QUALITY: Water was leaking from ceiling when it rained. Water flow from shower was so slow. There was a huge ant infestation that was present throughout our entire stay. The first day wee were given pastries as a gift upon our first arrival, and was surrounded entirely by ants everywhere in large quantities. We immediately called room service to put a stop to it, and we were given a can of bug spray that was almost empty. The days after we had ants all over the floors at random places in time. They were from the floor, to behind the bed frame, or sink. It was uncomfortable knowing that each time I set foot in the room, ants could be near or on you when you're sleeping. It ruined the enjoyment of the rooms. This is beyond disgusting and UNACCEPTABLE. It needs to be addressed immediately so other guests do not have this type of problem. FOOD & DRINK: The bartenders need more experience on how to make cocktails. All drinks were mainly fruit juice and colored syrup with less alcohol. Sometimes it felt they were improvising instead of following certain recipes on how to make drinks properly. Food is a mixed bag. There is not much to choose from when it comes to buffets compared to other resorts, but the food is generally flavorful and good. By the third day you can definitely see that the food is repetitive during the lunch buffet. A rotating menu can also be nice at each of the three restaurants. It can definitely benefit from more variety, food options, and more vegetarian options. It should also be noted that employees tried their best to accommodate for dietary restrictions. They also do not have a dinner buffet, which is a staple in many all-inclusive resorts. This is information we found out about 1-2 days before our stay. It should be listed and be noted that there is no dinner buffet prior to the stay. This means for dinner, you have three restaurants to choose from, with varying quality. The Italian restaurant was really lacking, that we relied on room service as dinner before we ate there. WALKABILITY: Things are generally within a 3-5 minute walk, and everything is compact. It is usually easy to get to wherever you want to do. My only gripe is having to go across the street to get to the lunch buffet, seafood buffet, and grill. ROOMS: The room had a huge ant infestation on the first day, and it continued throughout our entire stay. The bathrooms were smelling horrible, with the sewer smell. The fridge in one of the rooms was leaking and produced a horrible ammonia smell that filled the entire room, that was not fixed until 7 hours later. The water was leaking from the ceiling when it rained in one of the bathrooms. Also, the water flow from shower was very slow. There was also a problem with the air condition, the room was so hot despite the air conditioning. It's almost as if each day we entered the room, the room decides which problem we need to deal with each day, and it was frustrating. MISC. The hallway by the pool was smelling, reeking of sewers.

We had a last minute vacation plan and were upgraded to this resort by Priceline.com. We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed our time there. The most valuable asset of this resort has to be the fantastic food. We had the great opportunity to meet not only the Sous-Chef, Pedro, but also the Executive Chef - Jose Luis Pinilla. We went out of our way to express to them our congratulations and thanks for their wonderful menus and plating presentation throughout all of their restaurants, especially their Mexican restaurant. They were very professional and friendly. We will forever remember our stay at Fiesta Americana and their staff service throughout the resort. Andres & Mabel

We had a blast here with our Family. It’s a smaller resort but the ocean activities allowed snorkeling without leaving the resort. The resort has a pier which allowed easy pickup for deep sea fishing. The entertainment shows were awesome. Emily was a ray of sunshine with her energy with pool activities and Jose was a great waiter at breakfast and lunch restaurant. Alejandra was a great hostess.
