What We Love
- Snorkeling is amazing - the coral reef here is world-renowned & more than epic.
- A world-class golf course is just across the street, but there's mini golf if you wanna take it down a notch.
- A great family vacay spot that offers the salvation of an adults-only pool when you need it.
- The ridiculously relaxing massages you can get in the spa, by the pool or by the ocean.
- The complimentary (read: FREE) scuba lesson that will ready you, or not, for the deep blue.
- Hopping on a scooter or moped and checking out Mother Nature's awesomeness around you.
- The shows in the evening are pretty darn amusing. The entertainment team has got skills.
Things to Know
- The resort is just five minutes from the airport. Breathe and you'll be on the beach.
- Buy your transfers (from us) to and from the airport. It'll be one less thing to worry about.
- There are five snazzy, jazzy bars and lounges where you chill or get wild or toggle between the two.
- You've got four nosheries with scrumptious cuisine and settings.
- Dive into aqua aerobics for the exercise thing, or water polo for the competition thing.
- In addition to snorkeling, there's parasailing, motor boating, or Hobie catting (is that a word?).
- You can play shuffleboard and tennis, but if you want a smaller court, there's always ping-pong.
- There's volleyball to enjoy, but if you want near zero physical movement, there's Spanish lessons.

Good
We were in the original tower overlooking the ocean. Beautiful unobstructed view of the ocean. Reception was great upon our arrival around 7 pm. Room was very nice the rain fixture shower was terrific, hot water every time. Nice little kitchenette with fridge, sink and coffee maker. If you are black tea drinker pack you’re own they had non -ever. I always bring tea for the room. There I had to bring it with me to the restaurants as well. Felt bad for the waiters they genuinely felt bad they had non for me. Fast elevator great housekeeping comfortable king bed jacuzzi on the balcony moonlight dips were amazing. Entire staff so very friendly always hello and a smile from everyone. So all good now the not so good. Breakfast buffet great and good selection. Lunch just ok. Dinner hit or miss mostly miss. They have three other restaurants and check it out when you reserve there’s some sort of limo on the number of times you can reserve and you MUST reserve The seafood one was good the taco one make sure you’re not too hungry and the choice is limited. The beach side reservation kept us happy with what I call Grill Food. Burgers and such. They need to step up the buffet. Pool area..too much shade pool too small. The shallow end freezing cold took a feat of strength to go in and ffffff force yourself to get used to it and may hold about 20 people-tight the deep end was so cold you couldn’t go in. Why have a curvy deep end? Large number of day beds on grassy area away from pool for preferred members same at the beach. But there were huts for regular guests down there. The hard sugar sand beach was great for walking on, water was warm, bottom nice white sugar sand and they did a magnificent job of cleaning it every day even after a very windy day that brought in lots of seaweed. Five stars for that. It has a family area that look like fun for the kids. Scope out the coffee bar/bakery and ice cream store that are way over on the family side. They also have a building in front of the family area overlooking the water but there are no elevators and no pool other than the family pool behind them. We would have liked to be there but I’m a senior and stairs are not our friend. Overall it’s quite had a nice bar in the reception area and was very clean. The did an excellent job making accessible for handicapped both wheel chairs and walkers. Lovely area near the overlooking water to relax in the shade and read. WIFI was great everywhere

Hospitality That Made Our Family Feel at Home
From the moment we arrived at Meliá Cozumel, we were treated with genuine warmth, empathy, and professionalism. Check-in was quick and smooth, and Oscar personally guided us to our room while explaining in detail how to make the most of our stay and all the benefits included in our The Level package. He paid close attention to every detail to ensure we felt truly welcomed. A particularly special gesture was the small surprise he thoughtfully arranged for our son’s birthday, which was the main reason for this trip. That moment meant a lot to our family. I would also like to recognize Martín, who helped us secure availability at one of the restaurants so we could enjoy a family dinner with other relatives who were staying at the hotel as well. We are very grateful for his support and willingness to help. The housekeeping team deserves special recognition. Our room was always impeccably clean, well organized, and filled with thoughtful details for us and especially for our son. Their dedication and consistency did not go unnoticed. All of the restaurants met a very high standard, offering great variety and, most importantly, excellent cleanliness. In particular, Fish House stood out thanks to the outstanding service provided by Teodoro, Daniel, and Ángela, who took great care of every detail and accommodated our requests with kindness and professionalism. A special mention as well to the chef and sushi chef for the fantastic food, and to the cleaning staff who kept everything spotless. Daniel from the taquería also deserves recognition. Despite the challenging circumstances on the day we visited—when weather conditions required moving all guests to the buffet—he handled the situation with professionalism, calm, and excellent service. My family and I truly appreciated his effort. A very special mention goes to the family pool team, including the towel staff, entertainers, and especially Cynthia, who was incredibly kind and made us feel at home. It’s clear she truly enjoys her work and does it with heart, which reflects beautifully in her personality and service. I also want to acknowledge Diego and his beach team, who took wonderful care of us and ensured everything was perfectly prepared each day. They were especially helpful in organizing our bali bed and beach loungers throughout our stay. There are many team members whose names I may have missed, but I want to sincerely thank each and every one of them for making this stay so memorable. To those who start early organizing, to those constantly cleaning the sand, the glass, and every corner of the hotel—your effort is visible and deeply appreciated. Each of you contributed to an experience we will remember for a lifetime.

Nice property with
Nice overall property with long, wide, accessible, and walkable beach. Enough to do if your focus is to just relax and not expect too much luxury accommodations. The rooms could use some maintenance and updates. No loud activities or staff trying to pull you into activities. The music played on the property is nice and relaxing. The food could use some improvement in choice, substance, and temperature- cold!. You won't starve, but after a few days, it's much of the same. Limited choice of three faux fancy restaurants that had a limited menu choice, which required reservations but were not busy ?? Lots of beach and pool lounges. No problem finding chairs on the beach. Overall, it was a good time considering the cost. Not what I would consider a high-end resort but acceptable if you are on a budget.

Lovely stay
We stayed here Jan 7-14. It was a lovely stay, we enjoyed the meals, the beach and the very friendly and helpful staff. We’re glad that we booked The Level, as it meant we could use all the facilities on the resort and the ability to book a spot on the beach or by the pool made the whole trip so much more relaxing. Also of note, the towels provided were huge, unlike many hotel towels, which I really appreciated. Robes, not so much.

First time at Melia and it was fabulous! Don’t miss this all inclusive!
Diego was the over the top attentive at the beach every day we were here! Always smiling & laughing. Served us even when we weren’t at our chairs or day bed! Adrian & his team at the Fish House is not to miss!! Amazing service every time we sat down to eat-breakfast & dinner. The food was top notch for an all inclusive resort. Very nice all inclusive! Brought sunshine even when it rained.
