10/10 Hotel
Our family of 8 stayed for 10 nights from the UK and we had the most amazing stay at Secrets Royal Beach. From the start of our experience arriving at reception to the end when we sadly had to leave everything was amazing, and the staff were so friendly and wanted to be helpful for you to have a great time. Shout out to Alexander at the Rendezvous Bar, best cocktails and the knowledge of those which weren’t on the menu they were delicious - thank you! Especially the French Martini. Secrets is unique in the fact you can go to the restaurants on site more than once which was different for us. Our favourites were the steak & French restaurant. All food was impeccable and the flavours for it all be included! Everything was thoroughly thought out in this hotel and you definitely had the best use of your money, there isn’t one bad thing to say about it. The entertainment staff were always making us laugh and the entertainment in the evening was just another level above we have received in other all inclusive hotels. And a nice touch was on the on site barista coffee shop, caramel crunch Frappuccino was great. All the facilities: the pool, the gym, the beach, room service, the bbq were looked after and always maintained to a high standard. Thank you so much - we all recommend highly, 5 stars all round.

Our honeymoon 33 years later
My new favorite word is Hola. Everyone greets you and smiles. Not the fake smile because they're required to but because the are good hearted people. This was a wedding and also for our anniversary. I wish we could do this again. The food , drinks, people, and enviroment was out of this world. I do wish they could cool the pool down a bit.

Not a 5 star hotel by far
I booked my vacation through Marlin Travel, with Air Transat. I was set to travel Saturday June 7. At 4pm on Friday June 6, i was told my hotel was being changed and i wasn’t going to the hotel I booked but this hotel. While very upset about this, i had little choice but to accept the Secrets Royal Beach. While my situation is not the hotels fault, this hotel is far from what i am used to with other 5 star resorts. The gardens are very well kept, but the buildings and rooms are tired and dirty. Its took 1 1/2 hours from arriving to get to my room. The time was taken up by a sales pitch to upgrade. Not what i expect. Very poor. The food so far is good but at dinner the first thing they do is to push upgraded wine and drinks on you. I would suggest this is a 3 maybe 4 start at best. Very disappointing.

Living the dream in Punta Cana
May vacation to our favorite place which is home for us after so many years going there. It was another unforgettable stay at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana, and everything was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and pampered. The beach was stunning, the food was delicious with plenty of options, and the service throughout the resort was top-notch. Our room was clean, stylish, and had a beautiful view. Special thanks to the management team Roberto general manager, Tatiana and Alex. The restaurant staff, bar and servers: Fany, Rosa, Daniela, ARGENI(very special), Benjamin, Rudy, Bolon, Emilia, Julio, Juan, Ariel and not the last but the best Humberto, all of them were above and beyond to make again our vacation extra special. Our concierge for so many years - Warnes - I would like to thank him again for his outstanding and impeccable services. Also, I want to mention, the former General Manager, Domenico Cacace, who stepped into a well-deserved promotion; his leadership, dedication and integrity have shaped a strong foundation to set a standard of excellence at this resort. The new General Manager and his team brings fresh energy while honoring the legacy that has brought this far. Highly recommend for a relaxing and luxurious getaway!

Secrets Royal Beach
We recently returned from a five-night stay at Secrets Royal Beach. Our overall experience was average. While we enjoyed our relaxation time and floating around the preferred pool, we will more than likely not be returning to this resort. Room We stayed in a preferred club junior suite private pool room. The room was as pictured. The private pool and patio were great and got sun for the majority of the day. The beds were okay. Our biggest complaint about the room was the AC never really got cool and couldn’t keep up with the moisture, causing the bedding to always feel damp. Pools/beach All pools were clean and well maintained. Preferred pool connected to lazy river: We spent most of our time in this pool. This pool was a nice mix of music, a swim-up bar and relaxation. There was plenty of sun and many shady spots. There was a nice in water bench along one side of the pool. There were comfortable loungers around the pool, but they do fill up fast. The bartenders were here were great. The cabanas down the lazy are free and first come. There is a waterfall at the end of the river with in water seating. Preferred Quite Pool: This pool was truly a quite escape. Main Pool: This pool was the most lively of the four, but never seemed to get out of hand. There was a DJ playing different music during the day. Quite Pool: The cabanas surrounding this pool are available for rent, prices are different depending on the package you purchase. Beach: The beaches where nice with calm water and the beach service was good. There are a lot of venders that walk up to you several times. Restaurants Barefoot Grill: We really enjoyed this beachfront walk up option. Bluewater Grill: We ordered the steak and the salmon, we thought both were great! Our issue here was how slow the service was, it took about three times as long to eat here as it did at any of the other restaurants. Bordeaux: This was by far our top rated restaurant! The food and service were great. El Patio: This restaurant was underwhelming at best. Himitsu: We did not do the teppanyaki tables. The sushi was average resort sushi. La Riviera: We ate here for breakfast everyday and a couple of lunches. They had a decent variety of choices. Olio: The vibe of the restaurant was great, so nice eating with an ocean breeze. Preferred lunch- The lunch was descent. We highly enjoyed the dinner here. Drinks: We tried several of the bars, but all of the liquor seemed to be pretty watered down. But the drinks tasted good! Check-in/Check-out: Both were easy. We were taken into the preferred club upon arrival and offered drinks and snacks. We met our butler here and filled out our check-in paperwork. She then took us on a mini tour and to our room where our luggage was waiting on us. Upon check-out our luggage was picked up from the room and delivered to the transport area.
