Stayed at Riu Las Americas Dec 14 to Dec 19, so not on a weekend.The hotel is very clean and my room was also very clean. Dated? Not that I noticed. Food was good, but could never get in to the steakhouse. Service and staff are top notch. Not a fan of the boom, boom, boom music - but you can go to the other side of the hotel for a more peaceful experience. I traveled solo- not sure I would do the all inclusive thing again as it ties you to the hotel. Had a real bad experience on my last day with a group of idk maybe Eastern Europeans extremely drunk singing and yelling at at the top of their lungs in the early morning hours. Not cool when you have to catch an early flight the next day. Overall, I think the Riu brand is solid and a good choice for security and service. When I return to Cancun I'll do some things a little differently, but those are just personal choices. BTW - not really a singles kind of place, but that's a hard demographic to accommodate.

Graduation trip for grandsons.
This was our second trip to the Riu Las Americas in Cancun. We were there to celebrate our grandsons highschool graduation. We were also celebrating me and my wifes 36 wedding anniversery. Although we asked Delta vacations to let the hotel know the reasons for the trip, there was nothing done by the hotel in recognition of either event. As I mentioned this was the second stay at the hotel for my wife and I. Everything was just as fantastic as we remembered. Our sever at breakfast Marlena, was the best we were disapointed on our last day that she was working room service. Even with that she managed to come to our table and wish us a safe trip home. There were only two sore spots for me during the trip. The fist was the inability for me to enjoy a cigar while sitting at the pool or in the theatre. Somthing I was able to do on our first trip there. Second, there was a young lady at the front desk who was not veey friendly, don't remember her name but she waa taller and wore glasses. Other than that, loved it again and will recomend to friends and family.

This is the BEST resort I have ever stayed in. The attention to detail is amazing, from the beautiful building to the staff. We feel very spoiled here. Seven restaurants and the food is amazing. Lots to offer on site and just beautiful!

Fabulous Riu Stay
Just returned from a fabulous holiday at Riu Las Americas, the staff were amazing, very friendly, always happy to help. The hotel and grounds were spotlessly clean, and the efforts of the whole team to keep it that way is evident. We ate in four of the restaurants and the meals we had were all excellent, lots of choice with the most amazing selection of fresh fruit, local dishes, steaks, fish and much more . plenty of availability of sun beds, although the spots in the sun for the longest do get snapped up early. Entertainment was varied, and the hotel has a lovely relaxed feel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will look forward to returning soon.

Second visit to this lovely hotel!
Just come back from our 2nd trip to this hotel (we came same time last year)! Amazing time again 🤩 From the manager Maria, Public Relations manager Joselyn to all the. restaurant staff especially Arcus, Eddi and Catheryn, pool staff and entertainment - they couldn’t t do enough. We were oringally given a side room with not a great view but when I asked if we could move - it was done the next day. Lovely bits for my birthday inc balloons, cake and bottle of prosecco. People say the hotel is old I say it has character. If nothing did go wrong it was sorted immediately! We had the most amazing chilled relaxing holiday. Thank you everyone ❤️
