Great vacation
Had a good time at member events for Day of the Dead celebration. Our favourite restaurants were the Tamarindo (Juan provided excellent service and great recommendations) and Mercure - we had delicious breakfasts (Timoteo was very attentive and efficient) as well as dinner there - Armondo at the quiet pool kept everything well organized and did a great job during a very busy week and lastly our butler Carlos made our vacation great because of his attention to the details.

Exceptional! I will definitely be back!
Such a great resort overall! Food and a la carte restaurants were amazing. The service and friendliness of the staff was also exceptional. Timoteo was great, as were so many… David, and the whole crew at the buffet restaurant! Rooms were wonderful, very happy with the King Suite with ocean view. There is absolutely nothing I would complain about.

3rd Visit to Jade
Traveled to Dreams Jade for the 3rd time in 4 years. A little background for reference regarding our age and experience on traveling. We are early 60's and travel at least 5 to 6 times a year mostly in Mexico. We are Black Impression members of the Hyatt/ Unlimited Vacation Club (UVC). Our visit was during the members event for UVC Oct-Nov. Prior to visit - we received our email from Brenda with UVC probably a week prior to visit. Check In - was a breeze, probably the fastest we have ever experienced. We got to the resort around noon and the very first resort where our room was ready!! The Preferred Lounge where preferred guest check in, was also one of the best! Plenty of chairs and one of the best bartenders of the resort- Maria. We were there for 7 days and was so sad on her day off. Missed her amazing skills. Preferred status - is it necessary to upgrade? I really don't think so. The differences are as follows for a preferred guest 1. Preferred Building - has children 2. Preferred Lounge - didn't really notice difference in alcohol (but probably was) 3. Preferred Breakfast - which took so long to get food ( I would say at least an hour to an hour and half daily) 4. Preferred Pool - ADULTS only - which I will discuss later in the towel game. Room - AMAZING was upgraded to the Governors Suite due to our UVC status. If you ever get the opportunity to stay in one of suites, you will be so pleased! As stated above able to check in early which was so nice after hours of travel time. Hyatt App - make you you get as it provides hours opened, days opened and the menu. It was pretty accurate as some reports are not. Food - the food was so much better this time than the last time 2 years ago. The A La Carte and the order below indicates which we liked best. 1. Spice - Asian (non Teppanyaki we did not do) 2. Tamarindo - Mexican 3. Mercure - French 4. Cin Cin - Mediterranean 5. Capers - Italian As stated we did Mercure for breakfast and CoCo Cafe one day (light breakfast), did not do the buffet for breakfast as we are not buffet ppl. We did not do Castaways for dinner but did the first day for lunch - it was good but once we went to the Barefoot Preferred Adult Grill just stayed there daily as we loved it! The fish tacos are amazing and loved the cook there. (Sorry forgot his name) The food was very good to us overall. Pools - Adult Preferred POOL - NOW the TOWEL GAME at DREAMS JADE IS NO JOKE and very inconsistent daily. You better be out there by 6:30 - 7:30 AM or you will not have a place to sit. Some days you can put you towels down and leave and other days your towels would be removed if you were gone for 30 mins to eat breakfast. It also depended on who you were. And yes there was a signed that was ignored daily. In addition, the shade umbrellas (if you call them that) are cemented in the ground so you cannot move them to get shade. The is a second row of chairs to sit (if you are lucky enough to get one) but there are bushes to block the view of the pool and the ocean. They need to remove those bushes and add chairs. In addition, there is 99% no activities at the Preferred pool. It was boring, there were a couple of singers for ONE DAY which was great and enjoyed. BUT in my opinion it would be nice for adults to have activities as well and maybe that would cut down on the alcohol. Just a thought. But we did love OMAR at the bar! The best ever!!! For the POOL area alone, we will never return to Dreams Jade. My suggestion is for the MGT team rethink the entire POOL AREA! OH - FYI - We were suppose to get a bali bed one day of our stay, however we were never told. Only found out from other UVC members and by that time it was our next to the last day. Note we did walk to the main pool, one day and it was the same way!! THE TOWEL GAME IS REAL as I have never witnessed before. Beach - we are truly not beach ppl but it was OK. Seagrass a little but didn't keep ppl out of the water. SPA - Dreams Jade only allows you to par take in the hydrotherapy with a SPA service. (I think Moxche is the only other resort we have been to that did this) and since we were at Breathless Riviera 2 weeks prior this visit (which was the BEST SPA ever) and had treatments there we saved our money. Therefore, I can't speak much on the SPA services. However, there is massages being offered on the beach for $65.00 an hour. Nightly entertainment - was OK nothing exceptional. So what I always what to know, when I read reviews - is the following question........ Would you return?? That is a sure sign, was your money worth the stay? For me, I have already stated NO but keep in mind for one and one reason only, is the POOL situation. I would suggest Jade look at the an amazing experience we had with the entertainment team and the pool concierge at Breathless Riviera Cancun. I enjoyed most all the other parts of my stay. We are going to Secrets Cap Cana in 3 weeks for 10 days and Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen for the Christmas holidays, hopefully you will read those reviews if you enjoyed reading my review of Dreams Jade.

Another amazing trip back to the Dreams Jade!
Our 9th visit to Dreams Jade and it certainly didn’t disappoint. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt at home and again our family was by our side daily. Alex (Alejandro) the bellman met us on our way into the resort and took us on our way out. What an extremely polite and helpful individual. I can see him progressing in his career at high speeds. We were concerned about our room as it needed to be by a ramp for my husband but sure enough, we had some Angels on our side who knew exactly what we needed. Thank you to David Quiroz, Roberto - Chief Concierge, Pamela - Preferred Club Manager and Carlos - Butler. Your attention and caring with our needs was impeccable and super appreciated. We spent our days by the adults pool and Iven Gercia ensured we had everything we needed for the day. A great bunch of pool concierges for sure! Christian, the Spa concierge visited the pool offering chair massages. What incredible hands he has. Worth booking a spa treatment with him! We ate breakfast every morning at the Mercure restaurant. Such great service by Antonio, Timetao and Santos. What a great team and they made our mornings. We headed to lunch at Castaways and sure enough this great team was there to serve us as well. Another great service at Castaways was Jesus. Shout out at other restaurants was Erik at the Spice restaurant and Juan at the Mexican. We spent some time in the Preferred Lounge and Mari always took great care of us there with our special drinks. We truly love this place because of the staff. It’s not just a resort. The staff make it home.
