  Wouldn't Recommend

  The overall resort is nice and definitely clean and well maintained. The food was excellent sometimes but poor others so it was hit and miss whether the dinners would be tasty. The resort though constantly tries to upsell you on everything which you wouldn't expect at an all inclusive. We booked a NYE experience and the overall experience was quite poor. The food was tasteless, service was terrible and when we complained, the staff did the bare minimum to accommodate our complaints.

  Edwin and Roger and really all of the staff at the exhale pool were wonderful we had great time it was definitely a little bit of more of a party scene which was fun

  Great stay!

  We stayed at this hotel for four days and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and has a pleasant, welcoming scent throughout. Our room was clean and beautifully designed as well. Our overall impression of the staff was excellent. The food was generally very good, but our absolute favorite was the French restaurant, where some dishes truly felt Michelin-star worthy. On that evening, Chef Erick was on duty and we had the pleasure of thanking him personally. The food was outstanding, and Jonathan and Martin at Co-quette took such great care of us that we genuinely felt like we had accidentally ended up back in France. Breakfast has always been my favorite meal of the day, and the restaurant Spoon did not disappoint. The selection was so extensive that I left every morning completely full and happy. My undeniable favorites there were Omar, who always brought drinks at supersonic speed, and Francesca from housekeeping, who worked so quietly and discreetly—exactly how cleaning staff should. Every morning at the reception area, Fernando greeted us and asked how we were doing, if he could help with anything, and whenever we had even a small issue, he immediately assisted us. He truly made us feel at home. The lower pool was heated and very pleasant for swimming and relaxing. The activity schedule was a bit confusing at first, but once you went with the flow, the activities were fun and enjoyable, and the activity hosts were always friendly and engaging. The only downside was that the air conditioning in the room could not be permanently turned off. Even when set to 40°C, it still blew cold air, and every time we returned to the room, we had to turn it off again. There was no unpleasant sales pressure, which allowed us to relax and truly enjoy our vacation. Thank you for a lovely stay!

  Perfection in the Mexican sun.

  Everyone here is so amazing. Carlos Leon on the secrets preferred lounge is wonderful and so is Luis the entertainment director. Mar, one of the secrets side servers, made sure our drinks at our swim out never went dry. The food is the best and the selection of restaurants amazing. On secrets no reservations needed made it feel like the resort was ours to experience at our every whim. We loved it. Go here if you want an amazing experience.

  Poor Experience at Breathless Riviera Cancun. Stay elsewhere!

  I paid approximately $3,500 for what was advertised as an “Ocean View Xhale Junior Suite,” but the room did not live up to that description. The “ocean view” was extremely limited—only a small sliver of water was visible, which felt misleading given the premium price. Overall, the resort felt more focused on extracting money from guests than providing a level of service and quality that justifies the cost. For a resort at this price point—especially an Xhale Club suite—the constant upselling was excessive and felt like a cash grab. As one example, I paid $150 for a 50-minute massage at the spa. During the massage itself, the therapist spent time trying to sell add-ons, such as scented oil for an additional $20, rather than focusing on the service I had already paid for. The massage itself was disappointing and lacked professional technique; it felt like little more than oil being rubbed onto my skin, with no real therapeutic value. The food quality was also very poor. Most meals were bland and under-seasoned, which was surprising and frustrating given the resort’s luxury branding and pricing. Additionally, the beach was largely unusable due to an excessive amount of sticks, debris, and rubble, making it uncomfortable and uninviting to spend time there. Overall, this resort did not deliver the experience promised for the price paid. Between the misleading room description, subpar food, low-quality spa services, and constant pressure to spend more money, the experience fell far below expectations and does not reflect a true luxury resort.
