  We loved luxury oceanfront Suite 205!

  We recently stayed at this resort and had an exceptional experience. One thing that really stood out was how accommodating the staff were in trying to honor guests' requests for specific units whenever possible. After making your reservation, it is well worth calling the resort directly to request your preferred room. For those seeking the ultimate experience, Unit 205 is a luxury oceanfront two-bedroom, 2½-bathroom suite. We enjoyed the entire unit 205. What makes this unit particularly unique is its lockout design, which allows it to be rented in different configurations. If you are looking for the full two-bedroom experience, request Unit 205. In this configuration, guests enjoy the entire suite, including both bedrooms, all 2½ bathrooms, a full kitchen, and access to two washers and two dryers. If you are looking for a luxury oceanfront one-bedroom suite, request Unit 205A. This spacious accommodation includes a full kitchen, 1½ bathrooms, and its own washer and dryer. For travelers seeking a studio-style option, Unit 205B is an excellent choice. This bright and spacious studio features two private balconies, a wet bar with a compact refrigerator, and its own washer and dryer. One of the highlights of Unit 205A is its exceptionally large oceanfront balcony, complete with an outdoor dining table and chairs, a comfortable lounger, and additional seating, making it the perfect place to enjoy the views, relax with a book, or dine outdoors while listening to the sound of the waves. Unit 205B offers two distinct outdoor spaces that make the studio feel much larger than expected. The first is a small private patio overlooking the pool, furnished with two chairs and sheltered by two gorgeous palm trees. The palm fronds begin at approximately patio height, creating the perfect amount of privacy while still allowing views of the beautifully maintained grounds. The second balcony overlooks the covered courtyard and provides a unique perspective of both the pool area and the ocean beyond. Furnished with two chairs and a coffee table, it is an ideal spot to enjoy a morning coffee or unwind in the evening. Everything was spotless, functional, and thoughtfully maintained. The resort's atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy their vacation from the moment they arrive. What truly makes this property stand out is the combination of beautiful surroundings, well-appointed accommodations, attentive staff, and the flexibility offered by requesting specific rooms. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a memorable, relaxing, and enjoyable stay. The accommodations are excellent, the setting is beautiful, and the staff go out of their way to ensure guests have a wonderful experience. This is truly a wonderful resort.

  Just What We Needed

  We looked at many properties before narrowing our choices to three: the Coral Gardens penthouse, which we originally reserved but had to cancel because of a family issue; Windsong; and West Bay Club. By the time we were able to rebook, the Coral Gardens penthouse was no longer available, so we ultimately settled on West Bay Club. **We truly lucked out. You get what you pay for.** Due to unusually high tides during our week, the beach in front of both Coral Gardens and Windsong was virtually nonexistent, and Somewhere Café was closed for several days because of the high tides. Windsong appealed to us because of its proximity to restaurants, but when we visited, it felt busier than we would have liked. West Bay Club turned out to be exactly what we needed. This was a recovery trip, not a celebration. Think elderly parents, years of caregiving, and a couple of deaths in the family. We simply needed some peace, quiet, and R&R. We stayed in room 503, which had an uninterrupted view of the gorgeous beach. Yes, West Bay Club is expensive, but for us, the setting, service, and overall experience made it worthwhile. The staff deserve special mention. Every single person we encountered was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They remembered our room and our names and always greeted us with big smiles. From housekeeping to the bar, beach service, front desk, maintenance, and breakfast staff, everyone was fantastic. I won't name individuals because I'm sure I'd inadvertently leave someone out, but the entire team was outstanding. We also appreciated not having to race down first thing in the morning to claim a beach cabana. When we retreated to the pool in the afternoon, there were still plenty of spaces available. The pool was a lovely alternative when the afternoon sun became too much. Housekeeping did an amazing job and was never intrusive. We used Swift Eats to order provisions and highly recommend them. The service was excellent. **A few practical notes:** The surf was rough during our stay, making snorkeling a bust because of the poor visibility. There was also some seagrass. Nevertheless, we spent hours soaking up the sun and relaxing, which was exactly what we needed. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, with both hot and cold options, and the tap water is safe to drink. Several mornings, we took a small plate of fruit and yogurt back to our room to enjoy on the balcony. Perfect! Food is very pricey, so we settled into a routine of a late breakfast and early dinner, essentially eating two meals a day. It worked perfectly for us. We're not foodies, but we enjoy good fresh fish, salads, and local food. We enjoyed Mr. Grouper's and Sharkbite which offered a nice change of pace with large menus and relaxed atmosphere. The grouper dishes were particularly good. Walking to Turtle Cove was doable, but bring your phone flashlight for the walk back. We also ate at the hotel restaurant a couple of times. The pizza and salads were fine, and the lobster and snapper were very good. **A couple of downsides:** Some guests took speakerphone calls on the beach and by the pool. If you're trying to disconnect and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, having someone else's conversation broadcast nearby can be annoying. Please be considerate of others—take the call off speaker or return to your room. The other disappointment was the lack of recycling….maybe it is done behind the scenes? We appreciated the water stations scattered around the resort. Bottom line: West Bay Club was exactly the peaceful, comfortable retreat we needed. The gorgeous beachfront setting, excellent service, uncrowded feel, and thoughtful staff made our stay special. Despite the rough surf and a few minor frustrations, we'd happily return. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway where you don't have to fight for a spot on the beach, West Bay Club is well worth considering.

  Legit Scammers.

  Same review as posted on Google because they deserve it. Pros- the resort was close to the airport. Great views. We asked for an hour late checkout around 12 PM - which isn’t very late at all). However, the front staff was almost rude about it. They finally agreed to let us stay till 11:30. The Cleaning staff started repeatedly knocking at our door at 11:25 AM sharp. I’d understand if the resort was super crowded but that wasn’t the case. Also, this was one of the more expensive resorts so I had expected the service to be a lot better. The WiFi sucked. We kept losing reception and there was almost none at the beach area. We had an issue with the Tv remote not working. We called to ask for batteries and instead the staff interrogated us for a long time implying that it was almost impossible that the remote could not be working. The breakfast had the same food items every day of the week and while it was free, we had to close out our ‘tab’ and tip everyday. They also charged us for someone else’s meal so check your bill carefully when you close out! The resort fees and room rate are insane for the poor service. Better off staying at some other nice resort in a better location for that price. Edit: Ignore what the owner posted as a reply. They never reached out to ‘rectify’ the situation. Instead what happened was they charged me 283 dollars on my credit card (in dec 2025) which is more than a year after this trip. When I complained in an email, they replied that I hadn’t settled the lunch/dinner in the resort which is a blatant lie. I settled everything during checkout. I hate writing negative reviews but what reputable resort does this? These are vengeful scammers. I was probably charged for writing this review and they probably thought I wouldn’t check my credit card and notice the charge. Thankfully I was able to contact my credit card company and get it reversed

  We Love Irene! 🥰

  We have to give a shoutout to Irene, our bartender down at the beach! She started out as our bartender and somehow became one of our girls by the end of the trip haha! 💕 My daughter and I wanted to do the TikTok trend where you “drink the colors of the rainbow,” so we told Irene about it and she was so excited to make all the drinks for us. She made it so much fun! 🌈🍹 We also spent some time talking with her one day at the beach and got to know each other a little more. She told us about her family, and you could just tell how much she loves being a mom and wife. She works SO hard but still manages to make everyone around her feel welcome and have a good time. Irene was seriously one of our favorite parts of the trip. We absolutely loved her, and we’re already hoping to see her again next year! We even had to get a picture with her before we left. 🥹 Thank you for making our beach days even more fun, Irene! We love you! 🫶🏻🌴

  Our Favorite Place to Stay! 🌴☀️

  This was our 3rd time staying at West Bay Club and we LOVE it! My family and I can’t wait to come back each year! 🥹 All of the staff were so sweet and helpful, but we especially want to shout out Roshana at the front desk! She was SO sweet, fun, and genuinely made us feel welcome the whole time. We originally got a first-floor room and really wanted to be higher up like we had been in previous years so we could see the ocean and beach. The staff was so helpful in getting our room upgraded, and we really appreciated them making that happen for us! Roshana also went above and beyond on our last day. My sister and I really wanted to ride the jet skis at Blue Haven Marina before our flight, and she called multiple times that morning to get us the earliest appointment possible. She even helped arrange a taxi for us. When we got back, she wanted to hear all about it and see our pictures! She was seriously the sweetest and made us feel like she genuinely cared about us having the best trip. We loved getting to know her and can’t wait to see her again next year! 😊 Thank you, Roshana!! 💕
