5 stars!
We had the most incredible honeymoon at this resort in Mexico! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The resort itself was beautiful, relaxing, and the perfect place for us to celebrate such a special time in our lives. A huge part of what made our stay unforgettable was Martin. He truly took such amazing care of my husband and me throughout our entire stay. Martin went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, happy, and enjoying every moment. His kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made us feel so welcomed and special. He always checked in on us and made sure everything was perfect, which meant so much to us on our honeymoon. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and are so grateful for the wonderful memories we made here. If you’re considering this resort—especially for a honeymoon—do not hesitate. And if you have the chance to be taken care of by Martin, you’re in the best hands!

Staff made our trip great!
What an experience.. I'd especially like to thank Martin, the concierge, who helped me surprise my wife with an incredible experience and great customer service. Dinners were great, drinks were great, room service was fast, and the atmosphere was fun. There is wildlife to admire along with fresh, beautiful grounds. The staff is friendly and willing to help with any needs. Martin also assisted connecting us with the photography crew who did an amazing job capturing our moments at a good price. We will be visiting again without a doubt.

Rocky beach with lack of luxury
Our first impression of the “resort “ was fantastic. We were greeted in the lobby by Israel. He swiftly assisted us with our luggage and showed us to check in. He is truly a wonderful person, amazing at his job and customer service. Unfortunately, from check in on the Princess didn’t continue to impress. Our first room looked out at a bunch of bushes and stagnant water. The room had a very strong odor of must and mold. Due to allergies I needed to be moved but it took 3 requests and them spraying room freshener and cranking the air conditioning first. Pool on the platinum side was quiet. The other pool was much more lively. No hot tubs! The beach is not a good one! Very rocky. Water shoes are a must. Lots of trash in the water and on the sand. The smell of sewer was very strong in several places. If you are a beach lover I would pick a different location. Food wasn’t anything great some was awful. The drinks were way too sweet and Modelo is the only beer option without an up charge. No fresh fruit or anything like that for drinks. Coffee in the lobby is yummy. There is not much as far as entertainment or things to do. Kind of boring and the theater also smells like mold. Carpet and lots of fabric. Overall the resort needs lots of revamping. The staff is great. However, the attention to detail and little added effort isn’t there. If you are looking for luxury or 4 or 5 star service I would recommend staying elsewhere.

The bellboys were the friendliest staff and the resort!
Amaury and Enrique, the bellboys made our experience at this resort better than it would have been without them! My best friend and I are truly going to miss them!

Loved the pools
4.5 stars overall. Between the two Princess hotels, I recommend Platinum Yucatán, adults only, as guests can access both properties. They’re right next door to each other and only about a 15-minute walk apart. If possible, upgrade to a swim-out room, it’s incredibly convenient. Our room was beautiful and clearly designed for couples rather than friends, as the open tub is located right in the middle of the room (LOL). Room: 5/5. There are plenty of pools, so this is a great resort if you love spending time in the water. The gym is very good and not overly crowded. The spa’s hydrotherapy circuit was extremely enjoyable. The buffet is solid, and the specialty restaurants are good depending on what you order. Aroma, the international restaurant, was the best overall. Dining right at 6 p.m. when they open made it easy to get a table. Highlights included the made-to-order soft tacos with vegetables and cheese at the buffet and the rotisserie chicken from the beach bar, which was amazing. Breakfast room service was good, with four menu options. Decent house wine is included and available at all bars and restaurants. Food: 4/5. 5/5. Service was excellent everywhere. Bottled water is available, along with water-refill stations at the pool bars. The water aerobics, Zumba, and aqua zumba sessions were fun and well run. Depending on your group size, the hotel shuttle into town is very reasonably priced at $5 USD one way, compared to taxis. The live music and evening entertainment were very good, with lots of programming to keep you busy. Everything is easy to access through the hotel app, which is very convenient for checking services and schedules.
