  Not my Favorite

  My first Dreams experience was mediocre. UVC staff were attentive and helpful. Il Mare was a cool place to stay and Battelliono was excellent. Dreams pools were nice but the water cleanliness was cloudy and not attended to. Dreams restaurants were medicore at best. Staffing and morale seemed very low. THis was a family celebration of 12 people. We were satisfied but not the experience I had hoped for.

  1 Star at Best

  Definitely NOT what we expected 😔! I am a Unlimited Vacation Club member so we only stay at Dreams or Secrets and this Dreams was like staying at a 1-star motel on the side of the road. First we were put in a Preferred Club Suite, with no working A/C, maintenance came in and "fixed it." Needless to say he did not and when we called to let them know, maintenance never came back and they bought us an oscillating fan 😡. A fan in 90° plus heat. Second day they did move us to another room, A/C was a little better, but I took the fan to the new room. Paid for a Romantic Sunset Dinner with Steak and Lobster, no Lobster was served and they bought us Shrimp skewers, not acceptable. Now I have to see the manager, who says Lobster was not on my menu, BS considering I had been emailing them weeks prior about this dinner as it was our 23rd Anniversary. Third day, we went on an amazing excursion of the island and while gone, I was corresponding back with the hotel, to rectify my dinner situation. Upon arriving back to the hotel, we were informed that the addresses the problem and we had a private romantic dinner at Portofino. Fourth day, there was a 15 hour island Blackout 😔. Can this situation get any worse? Spent the day at the Beach, which is absolutely beautiful and the pool. No good beach food, as they cooked burgers and hot dogs in the morning and put them in warming trays all day. Now if it wasn't for the staff, this hotel should close it's doors. Tanisha, Rachely, Ziad, GiGi with Preferred Club were amazing and tried their best to make things better. Mike at the pool bar made some great drinks. The staff at the World Cafe (I can't remember her name) was so very nice. The young men at the Lobby Bar were on point with the drinks. Israel (I think that is his name) at Seaside grill, really looked out for us. The young lady who was our server for Romantic Dinner was so sweet. Other than that, I would NEVER.

  Not what we expected

  Do not go by pictures on the website. They are very misleading. We went because the pictures were beautiful, what a disappointment. For an all inclusive, this resort is very antiquated. Needs everything updated. People were not that friendly. It says 7 restaurants when it only has 3 and only 2 was open most of the time. We were not happy staying there. I hope the Hyatt updates everything.

  Curacao is amazing

  Location is beautiful. Snorkeling is great. Food was mediocre at best. Small resort you will make friends as you keep bumping into people. Some service is good but the majority is incredibly slow. We will come back to Curacao as we love the rich culture and things to do, but we will not stay at dreams again.

  Fair

  The floors were not clean when we arrived. The tub was peeling, and the grout around the tub and sink was old and cracking. The drop ceiling in the bathroom had lint collecting in the corners. I had to wait hours to get clean towels and had I to call the front desk multiple times. I requested to have the room cleaned in the mornings, and the cleaning service usually did not come until the evening. Overall, the room conditions were the most disappointing for the cost I paid. I have stayed at Dreams in other countries and was completely satisfied. The pool, restaurants and front desk and bar staff were accommodating.
