Grand sirenis please book with caution and lower you expectations they claim to be a 5 star resort this is a 3.5 at best
So we have spent 10 days here and after the first day we was ready to leave and come home the rooms was dirty the balcony in one room was broken and my neice almost fell of the balcony weh speaking to management staff on reception he walas rude and not interested in our complaints the swapped one room to another and repaired the balcony in the other room we was in the room they transferred us to was also dirty. Dirty bedding toe and finger nail clipping all over the roon the air conditioning didnt work and had to have somone out tonlook at it 3 x we then had to follow up with the tui rep and send photos.. the hotel offered us a spa package but children wasn't allowed so we refused the offered a meal on the beach consisting of fish and caveir wich we refused the hotel then told tui that the offered this to us and we accepted but didn't show up after we had refused they is a shop just outside the main complex called Oxxo this shop is cheaper than the shops in the hotel lobby but use with caution this shop chooses what exchange rates he wants can tried charging us 20 to 30 dollars more than the value of the items and also when we tried to buy some cigs 10 packets the different dales he scanned 12 packedt and tried to charge us for the 12 packets.. we booked 5 excursions via a company located inside the hotel next to the tui office we spent $1500 us dollars on these we was told everything is included in this price other than the tax on 2 of them out of the 5 only one was what we booked and asked for (trip to talum) we went to chicaniza and was charged for life vests in the cenotae when it was suppose to be included in the price.. I booked a day quadbiking that was suppose to me 4hr I sent 40mins in the quad before being sent back to the hotel we booked a 4x4 driving experience in the jungle that was suppose to be a full day trip we arrives at a shop in a town payed our tax to get in the ferry to the experience onec there we drove around an island following a giud to a beach with no off road driving or jungle experience we as a family that's payed well in excess of £11k to came away are very disappointed with the whole holiday and would not recommend at all (our family members have been to cancume 4 times before this family holiday and stayed at the grand behaya that was perfect in every way... the only good thing about our holiday was one member of staff that works in the food court buy main reception called omar young lad with a tattoo behind his right ear couldn't help us enough remembered the children's names what our drinks order was would have a table set up read for us with the drinks ready he would watch as we finish our drinks he would have fresh ones to us without asking he's great with the children and deserves the recognition for his polite and amazing attitude this man would deserves a promotion and would really benefit the hotel and a manager and or guest relations he has the right attitude and work ethic and if we could bring him home with us we would in a heat beat

Honeymoon ruined
This hotel is not 5 star. Honeymoon ruined because of awful treatment by staff!!! We’re still here and don’t leave till Wednesday. But up on arrival at the hotel with our 21 month old baby we had to wait over 1 hour to check in. We had travelled over 14 hours at this point so we were exhausted and so was our baby. We got go reception to finally check in and my husband asked if there will be a cot in room as requested and the reply was “yes, but if there isn’t one then ring and we will be straight up with one” Two hours later no cot and it took three phone calls to finally get one!!! Not the standard from a 5 star. Then it comes to the park restaurant!! If travelling with a baby avoid it!!! They do not care whatsoever. We asked for an high chair several times everyday and it took over 20 mins to receive one.. all the staff were bothered about were folding napkins!!! So rude. Seems they favour Americans over the English at this hotel. We were also waiting for buffet to open and it was Just before 7 and two people just walked in and were guided to a table so we assumed it was open so followed, only to be told it was t open! Table service in bars isn’t a thing. We were never once asked whilst seated if we wanted more drinks Rooms amazing. Can’t fault them. Spa was amazing also. We were also conned by concierge but luckily didn’t fall for it. We were offered breakfast on the beach as it was our honeymoon and two free spa treatments. It was only till later on I remembered something about timeshares!!! They were trying to woo us into buying a timeshare. They also said we would be entered into a draw and just to show our bank cards!!! But overall honeymoon ruined as didn’t get half of what was promised. TUI will be getting a complaint and I’m hoping I get some feedback from hotel as this is disgusting how we’ve been treated. We will never return. It was my first time in Mexico and my last

Great Family Holiday – Our Second Visit and Still a Winner!
We recently returned from our second stay at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya. Our first visit was in 2017 as a couple, and this time we came back as a family. Overall, it was another fantastic holiday, and the resort continues to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Rooms: Our room was clean and comfortable with great beds. There were a few minor issues upon arrival, like the air conditioning not working quite right, but maintenance quickly sorted it out. The room itself felt a little worn in places – the shower didn’t have a light and one of the shower doors was hanging off a bit – but nothing that impacted our stay. Given the size and popularity of the resort, we thought the upkeep was pretty reasonable. Food & Dining: The food was definitely a highlight of our stay. The buffet was quite busy in the evenings, especially with large families requesting tables for 10 or more, but the staff did their best to keep things moving. While the buffet options didn’t change day-to-day, the quality and variety were excellent, and we never got tired of it. Compared to our first visit in 2017, the focus on consistently good food rather than themed nights was a welcome change. I can’t really comment on lunch as I didn’t really have much, but there were plenty of options round the pool, the beach or the main buffet. Ice Cream parlour was a hit with everyone! Breakfast was a standout – fresh pancakes, crispy bacon (a big hit with our son), fresh fruit, yoghurts, and a fantastic hot chocolate (which was a little hidden but worth finding!). There was something for everyone. A special mention goes to Jose Luis, who really made our mornings. From the first day, he was warm, welcoming, and attentive, especially with our son. By the second week, he knew our drink orders without even asking. He took the time to chat with our son every day (who he remembered the name of), even when he was busy, and on our last day, our son gave him a hug goodbye. It’s clear he’s a real asset to the team, having been there for 14 years. Allergy-Friendly Service: One of our group has a severe nut allergy, and we were really impressed with how the resort handled this. Upon check-in, she was given an allergy card, and staff at every restaurant checked in with her about potential allergies before seating us. A chef personally guided her through the buffet to explain what she could safely eat, and if there were no dessert options she wanted, they’d prepare something for her. It gave us peace of mind and was a great example of thoughtful service. Kids Club & Activities: The kids club was a hit with our son – after one visit, he didn’t want to leave and loved that they even took the kids to dinner. There were also plenty of reps offering tours. We booked trips to Xcaret and Tulum, both of which were well-organized and easy to arrange on-site. Pools & Beach: The resort has several pools and great beach access. We didn’t use the first pool but were happy with the others. There was some seaweed on the beach, but staff worked hard to keep it under control, and it didn’t stop us from enjoying the ocean. One change we noticed from our last visit was that there seemed to be fewer staff around the pool and beach taking drinks orders. This time, we typically had to go to the bar ourselves – not a big deal, but different from our first stay when staff were always coming by. Other Notes: The resort clearly focuses on being eco-friendly, which we appreciated. However, the motion-sensor lighting in the bathrooms could use some tweaking. In our room, the shower light didn’t work, and the main bathroom lights would turn off mid-shower. The same happened in public bathrooms near the beach bar, where the sensor was outside the cubicles, so you'd find yourself in the dark. Booking the à la carte restaurants was no problem as long as we planned a day or two ahead. The sunbed situation became more competitive towards the end of our stay – by the final days, most beds by Pool 3 were reserved by 6:45am, though there was always space at the beach. Final Thoughts: This resort remains a solid choice, whether you're visiting as a couple or with family. The renovations were much needed and have helped turn this place into a more modern and stylish destination. The grounds are well-maintained, the food is great, the service is warm and professional, and the rooms are comfortable and in good shape. The shuttle carts (though we never used them) were handy, and the drivers would often stop to check if we needed a lift. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya!

Food experience
The crepe at the oishii restaurant was the best. When I saw it how the chef cooked it, I was so excited and patiently waited in line. My husband and I liked also the sushi they served. They have different varieties and we loved the crunchy ones. They’re tasty!

Grand Sirenis got a new facelift!
Wonderful renovations to an establishment nestled in the jungle along coast, amazing food, grateful staff with a fantastic sense of humor, lots to do nearby offsite. Eat at Carnal!!! Chef Mena has the best meal in an environmenty of great food. The singing, caberet dancers, and metro monkeys in a setting of the best 80s music- wow!!! Butcher also exceptional.
