Great staff , except at reception desk. We tried Le Petit Chef experience and it was cool for the little one . Food is good, drinks were sometimes really good and other times watered down. Entertainment staff did a good job every day . The kids club was great for the kids. Location is really good, everything is near by and taxis are cheap All in all a great vacation spot if all inclusive s are your thing.

Apr 30, 2025Great resort for family vacation, but prepare for loud evening music
The resort itself is great, the service was wonderful. The reviews in general are accurate - the pools, beach and service are top notch and we had a wonderful family vacation. The buffet restaurant is average, the Mexican restaurant was a great experience and I highly recommend the Tappenyaki dinner show as well. However, as you'll see in other reviews, the noise in the evenings is over the top - weddings on 4/7 nights we were there, and the music was loud until 11pm. With small kids who go to bed earlier, this was a challenge (we brought our white noise machine for them, thank goodness, it helped us sleep as well).

Loud!
Overall great stay. But....if you want quiet, this is not the place. They have weddings (even 2 at the same time) almost every night and it's sooooooo loud, no matter what room you have (garden level/ocean view/penthouse/main tower) The music blasts until 10:30/11pm and it will vibrate your room. We will not stay here again because of this.

I have stayed at several Resorts, Hard Rock Puerta Vallarta, Westin Puerta Vallarta, Rui Bahamas, Aruba, Cabo, Westin Cancun and several others that I can't remember, This was the 2nd worst hotel. The staff in Capers were amazing, the staff in Himitsu was not so great. The whole experience was rushed and a joke for a large party. The food for breakfast was the same everyday and for breakfast only real place to sit down. We had a wedding party of 54 people to the resort for a wedding. No discounts were offered(which was no the same for Hard Rock). Rehearsal dinner was set up next to the pool. The hotel is very close to public access so several people walking by during ceremony. At one point another party was dancing and partying with their drone right next to our ceremony. I would highly not recommend this hotel for a destination wedding.

Family holidays
Excellent hotel to enjoy with the family, the friendliness of each of the employees is genuine and make you feel comfortable in any area of the hotel. Very rich food and great variety in its restaurants. The explorer club is a great ally to leave the little ones and have fun, the very cute staff girls (Estefanía, Sarahi, Alexandra, Rocio and Luz). We'll definitely be back.
