I came here with my son to celebrate his 18th birthday and we were pleased with our stay. There is not much night life, which was okay with us, and activities weren’t as prevalent as other all inclusive resorts we’ve visited. Food was typical for an all inclusive, we enjoyed the beach Bali bed multiple days and couldn’t have been happier with the service from Aurelio. My glass was never empty and no request was too much for him. He was friendly, kind, and gave great recommendations. Give that man a promotion!

Best things were the views and drinks! Check in process did not go smoothly. We paid for preferred club, best thing was the top shelf liquor. But other than that it was lackluster. Our room was not ready at check-in. We finally got our keys and not only did we NOT get the king best we reserved but the room was dirty. Toothpaste all over the sink/mirrors. Brown stains over light switches, spills on floor, stains on almost every pillow case. For how much was paid it was unacceptable. We spoke to front desk and not once was there any apology let alone any urgency. The tone of the employees gave off as if we were being bothersome when in reality we just wanted a correct/clean room. After TWO rooms change we settled. Regarding the food. Buffet was decent with good variety. But preferred buffet food over restaurant food. It wasn’t a bad experience as I had great company but truthfully, I don’t believe I’d ever come back or recommend.

Not so much of a wow factor because of their not so friendly staffs. Looks unhappy staffs are working here. You could do better

The staff at Dreams Vallarta Bay are excellent!!! We were so fortunate to have the following people enhance our stay: Judith Avalos, Concierge, is so gracious, helpful and wonderful, Gwendolyn (sp), Victor, Marisol & Javier at Carnival Restaurant, Carlos is the best person to take care of you at the pool, Carlos at Tappanyaki is such fun and a great chef, Kevin at Capers, a delight and Maurico, all around great person to assist you during your stay or just talk to. Each visit we have made to different areas of Mexico, have introduced us to the most charming and wonderful people. The Cons at the property: the lobby and the areas around it where people are working, desperately needs some ceiling fans or something to move the air around. The resort is skimpy on A/C. The elevators, public bathrooms and some of the restaurants don't appear to have it. We went in September, which is a very hot and humid time of year, but again, unless you're in your own room or a few other places, there is no a/c relief or even ceiling fans. Also, some of the restaurants aren't open every day, many close at 4:30 p.m.and don't open again until 6:00/6:30 p.m. We've stayed at other all-inclusive resorts and this is something we've never experienced and found it disappointing here.

Wonderful
We had an amazing time with family and friends for my nieces wedding. Miguel our server at the pool was a pleasure to deal with. Ricardo our butler in the Preferred section of the resort was very helpful and kind.
