  Overall great experience, sprinkled with a little prejudice.

  My sister and I visited this resort with the main goal of relaxation and we got exactly that. The rooms were great with incredibly comfortable beds. The food options were pretty good and didn’t close too early like at other resorts. We also enjoyed the entertainment provided each night. However, we did experience racial profiling and colorism by staff members. Most of the staff were welcoming and professional, but the actions of a few affected the overall experience. We were followed closely around a store where other guests were able to shop freely, and another staff member at the pool area commented on my darker skin not needing any more sun. Also, finding seats at the pool areas was stressful because it seemed no matter how early we went to the pool, guests had claimed seats they weren’t planning to use until hours later. But we always managed to find something even if it wasn’t ideal.

  A great experience

  This is one of the best all inclusive resorts we’ve ever stayed at, and we’ve stayed at many all over the Caribbean! The staff are so friendly and welcoming; everything they do is with care, detail, and a service oriented heart. I’m allergic to wheat and dairy (not celiac) and they had plenty of variety and options that I could eat at all of the restaurants. They even gave me an allergy card to give to the Maître d', and would ask the chef if I had any questions about a particular food. There’s a good mix of activities and plenty of space to just hang out if you want to. We really enjoyed the Dominican show and the fire show. The beach is beautiful and they do a good job of managing the sargassum floating ashore. This beach is shallow and has a lot of rock reef so it might be a good idea to bring water shoes if you plan on heading out very far. Overall this is definitely a place we’d recommend booking!

  Amazing views and excellent

  My vacation was Excellent and the concierge Willie was the Greatest he made sure our group was well taken care of. Great resort lots of fun something different everyday . Plus with access to dreams it def gave us more food options. Breathless did not disappoint, I will return.

  Great couples vacation

  Just returned from a wonderful vacation with 4 other couples. We had been to Breathless before but that was in 2014. The resort is awesome. Most of the staff even better. We did have the Xhale club. Check in was a breeze. We arrived approximately 12:30 checked in had lunch and the room was ready by the time we were done with lunch. We then met our butler Alexander who then gave us all a tour of one of the other couples room then proceeded to take us all to our rooms. Shorty after all our bags were delivered. The rooms were big and clean. Lots of water provided, coffee, snacks and other various drinks in the room. Let me get back to Alexander. If you have him as your butler you are lucky…he was fantastic. We have stayed at other resorts that have a butler and never have we had one that did as much as he did. He went above and beyond for us and checked on us throughout the day the whole week we were there. We loved him and we all were truly sad when we had to say goodbye. One day we rented a Cabana at the beach which was fantastic. That experience was wonderful. We had Andrea as our server and she was great. She has the best personality. So happy and sweet and the service from her was top notch. The food was a bit hit or miss. We also ate at silk city and did the Hibachi which is always good, we also ate at Coquette, Spumante which were disappointing. Food was usually served lukewarm or cold. The strip grill was decent, we also ate at Culinaria 1 time was great second time we had an Xhale dinner and it wasn’t good the second time. 2 of us ordered the red snapper and it was raw. We couldn’t even get the skin off the fish. We also went over to dreams and ate at the Bluewater grill which was an awesome meal. We went at 6 and had an hour wait which was fine, just keep that in mind. Very crowded and very loud but, it was a good meal. The taco truck over at dreams was great too. We did that for lunch one day and also did the lazy river and water slide. As everyone says in their reviews pool chairs get saved for hours with no one there. We couldn’t figure out how people had towels so early in the morning as the towel hut near us didn’t open till 8:30. Towels were in the chairs as early as 6:30-7 am. We asked someone where they got towels that early, come to find out they take them back to their room at night. It’s unfortunate that people do that but, what can you do. We all had a wonderful vacation. The staff there is truly so accommodating. As I stated above if you have Andrea at the beach or Alexander as your butler consider yourself very lucky they truly made our time there so special. Alexander is going to be a dad soon, much Love for he and his wife as they tackle parenthood. I’m sure he will be an amazing father.

  Best time in DR

  Our stay at Breathless in Punta Cana was absolutely unforgettable, thanks in large part to our attentive butler Willy. He took care of our reservations, taxi off of resort and checked in through the day. We felt like VIPs.A memorable perfect trip thanks to our friend Willy!
