  Probably won’t come back

  This was our first time at this resort. We’ve been to the Dominican a lot! Let me say that the resort was very well maintained! Pools were clean, grounds were very well manicured! We loved that aspect of it! We found the buffet to be very good. Loved the omelette station and the fresh squeezed juice station! The nacho station stole my heart and honestly, it was the best nachos I’ve had at any resort we’ve stayed at. There are a few reasons I’m rating this resort low. First off, the check in was a joke. We stood there and waited for over 2 hours. After traveling all day, the last thing you want to do is stand there waiting. Walls were paper thin! This resort draws a lot of younger people, which I love, don’t get me wrong but when you want to sleep, you should be able to. It was so loud and obnoxious! We were on the 3 rd floor so we thought the noise wouldn’t be that bad, we were wrong! Another thing to note is that yes, I’ve been to the Dominican multiple times so I get it, seaweed on the Atlantic side is going to happen. It was awful. It smelled so bad. If you’re a beach person, you may want to go to the Caribbean side, stay in La Romana instead. If you’re a pool person, and you like to party all night long and sleep all day, this is your resort! Would I come back, no. But that’s because this was not a relaxing vacation for us. We ended up staying in the pools on the back side of the room blocks and it was more enjoyable for us. I like to be social, but this just wasn’t my cup of tea.

  Lack luster

  I would not recommend or go to this resort again. The service is poor and the food not good. The Accommodation are not 4 star or diamond. It’s crazy that it took me to complain and write a review to halfway get the services I paid for. This place is loud and even if you ask for a quiet room they place you where they want. The rooms bed to be upgraded

  Go to Cancun instead!

  am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received throughout my stay. Unfortunately, several staff members were rude, unprofessional, and unaccommodating, which negatively impacted my overall experience. The customer service representative, Chantel, was particularly disappointing. She sent me a very rude text message and failed to follow through on the accommodations she had promised. Even during checkout, when she presented me with a document to sign, she did not acknowledge or address me appropriately and rolled her eyes. This behavior was disrespectful and unacceptable, especially from someone in a customer service position. I also had to request that my room be cleaned more than once, despite housekeeping being a service that should be provided without repeated requests. This added to my frustration and made my stay even more disappointing. Additionally, my experience with Amstar was equally unpleasant. Most of the staff members I encountered had negative attitudes and were not welcoming or helpful. However, I would like to acknowledge the young lady who initially welcomed us. She was kind, patient, and professional, and she made a positive first impression. I would also like to recognize the bellmen, who were extremely helpful, accommodating, and pleasant throughout my stay. Their service was appreciated and stood out in contrast to my other interactions with the staff. Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and failure to honor promised accommodations significantly affected my experience. Guests should be treated with courtesy, respect, and consideration, and unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, addresses the behavior of the employees involved, and makes the necessary improvements to ensure future guests do not experience the same treatment.

  Go to Mexico instead!!

  Check in was a very long experience. The workers were not very accommodating. We have been to Mexico several times and now twice to the DR. This was our first time at a Breathless Resort. I feel staff is always more pleasant in Mexico. We will not be returning. The food was so so. I am not a picky eater and it was hard for me to find things to eat. When I did find something to eat it was always room temp or colder. Pool bartender's were very slow. October isn't their busy month so I'm not sure if they are better at different times during the year. We tip for everything. Every drink, every meal, every room clean etc. Yet it didn't seem to phase the workers. We don't expect any kind of special treatment while on vacation. It just seemed like the workers did not want to be there. Resort was very clean though.

  Amazing Bday Trip

  I just checked out and on my way to the airport, I celebrated my 43rd bday with my lady and the word amazing is an understatement. The service, the attention, and the feeling and love I felt this weekend is like no other place. A few staff members that made the trip memorable from my host Emilio who was 10 stars from beginning to end, Magelys our pool service waitress, Carlos the swim up pool bar tender, Carlos the restaurant manager, Alenny our waiter and Yenny & Juan our lobby bartenders all made this weekend amazing. It was amazing amazing and will be back again and again. I have been here multiple times and it’s always great to see familiar faces.
