    Nice resort

Secrets Tulum is a beautiful resort with lovely, helpful staff and a great overall atmosphere. The interior design is stunning, and the beach is absolutely beautiful, making it a very relaxing place to stay. We especially loved the Italian restaurant, it was our favourite and truly stood out. The French restaurant, however, needs serious improvement to match the standard expected at a 5-star resort. Overall, the resort offers great facilities and design, and the staff were consistently kind and attentive. Angeles was amazing, we absolutely loved her, she truly made our stay even more special with her warmth and attention. Only some of the dishes across various restaurants would benefit from improvement to fully reach a true 5-star dining experience.

    Mexican all inclusive

The accommodation is good. Large size rooms with good features. We got upgraded to Preferred guest, which given you access to bars, pools and other areas of the hotel with higher quality. It took us a while to get the hang of navigating around the blocks. But once mastered it was fairly good. There is a lot of sand between blocks which ends up in your room, so be mindful when entering your room.

    Relaxing stay

Very great experience! Service was great - it was our first all inclusive experience and we felt very well taken care of. The rooms are spacious and clean. We loved access to the beach club as well. We rented a bike so we didnt have to wait for the hotel transportation. If you rent a scooter its quick access to tulum beach and tulum centro. Lots of activities occurring daily (yoga, bingo, pool parties) and a nice clean gym!

    Some parts are really good

We will start with the good parts. The rooms are very good, although my wife thinks they are to masculine. The balcony was great and had a bathtub out there. The food was very good and the Bluewater Grill is very unique in that it is outside in the trees. Now for the bad parts, the pools are numerous and very nice, but no body uses them because they don't like to heat them so they are all cold. Who in their right mind would build pool decks with black boards. Everyone goes to the beach instead which is very nice even with the sargassum needing to be cleaned up on a regular basis. The alcohol offerings are 3 star at best. I would expect way better from a 5 star resort.

Nice resort, amazing concierge (Luis H.), decent food, and amazing staff, but unfortunately ruined by 1 awful encounter.

We just finished a week-long stay at the hotel and while it started off well, we had an unfortunate interaction towards the end of our stay which made me lower my rating. Pros: 1. Luis Hernandez, our concierge, was top-notch. He made sure to check on us every morning and was dedicated to making our stay as enjoyable as possible. We appreciate how professional, kind, and thoughtful he was throughout our stay. Even when he was off the property, he made sure to respond to our concerns and to connect us to the right people when necessary. 11/10 for Luis. 2. Emmanuel from Bluewater Grill was the first person to wait on us, and he definitely set the tone for our stay. Despite the fact that we arrived late at the restaurant as our flight was delayed, he made sure that we were completely accommodated. Despite his obvious fatigue from working all day, he remained professional and kind. He even offered to take photos and videos of us when I told him it was our anniversary. In fact, we enjoyed his service so much that we made sure to return to Bluewater Grill with hopes of seeing him. 10/10 for Emmanuel. 3. Santos was the one who attended us at Barefoot Grill/ La Taqueria and he was awesome. We decided to attend Mexican night instead of going to another restaurant as we intended because we enjoyed the food and service provided by his team. 10/10 for Santos. 4. Staff in general were friendly, especially the ones in the resort. There were a few times when our requests would be forgotten, but it wasn't a big deal because we noticed that staff would get overwhelmed with requests at times, and there's no point in making their busy days miserable. 10/10 5. The resort was aesthetically pleasing and offered plenty of dining and swimming options. This made areas feel more private, which I appreciated since I prefer fewer crowds. The only thing I would ask for an improvement would be the activities. Some activities were only offered on certain days and it was hard to participate in them since we had otherpre-planned activities outside of the hotel. 9/10 Con: There was only one blight to an otherwise beautiful trip.I hope that this review will bring some awareness to the concerned individual, as his actions affect not only himself but also those around him. Johnny, who was stationed at the beach club, was unnecessarily rude and condescending. He was very uninterested in connecting with us and only talked about how good he was at his craft and how patient he was, which was ironic because his words and actions showed us otherwise. He also kept complaining about his work, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable. As I didn't want to assume that he's always that way, I tried to ask him about his night and his day. He responded that he had a great night and a pleasant start to his day, so it was odd that he was rude to us the entire time. However, when a Canadian lady in her 40s dropped by, his demeanor softened and he was very accommodating towards her. His treatment towards us only became half decent after my husband gave him a tip, which I strongly advised against because his service was abysmal. My husband, however, felt required to tip him as Johnny kept insinuating that he deserved it. The entire interaction was extremely degrading as he made assumptions that: 1. We were not smart enough to understand his instructions on how to make bracelets (even though we grasped the idea quickly). 2. We were beneath him (he would tell us he was doing us a favor and would nitpick about everything we did. Once I called him out on how he was treating me, he aggressively tapped my husband's wrist and raised his voice at him, claiming my husband was not doing anything right). 3. We were a waste of his time (even though we engaged him because we felt bad for him since no one was doing any of the activities he offered). Additionally, since I finished my bracelet quickly, I checked on my husband and offered him a compliment because I noticed that he was feeling down. Johnny laughed and was sarcastic in his response. I don't know what Johnny's issue was with us. He was pleasant to other guests, and even when he was being mean-spirited, we tried to remain kind. I just hope that he is able to reflect on how unprofessional and embarrassing his entire demeanor was and that he is able to learn basic human decency. 0/10
