It needs new management. Hyatt is doing a awful job with this location.
After traveling to 15 secrets resorts world wide over 10 years. This secrets has some of the worst food ever. It actually is connected with Dreams. Which is a total dump. This portion of the resort is awful . They should tear it down and start over .

A Relaxing Resort with Truly Amazing People
This is our third time staying at Secrets Bahia Mita, and overall, we truly love this resort. There are many things that keep bringing us back, especially the staff, who consistently go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. The staff at the 8th floor Skybar, including Julio, Mario, and Dario, are absolutely amazing. They are incredibly kind, hardworking, and a real highlight of the resort. Our favourite restaurant by far was Nebbiolo, the Italian restaurant on the Dreams side. We stayed for two weeks and ate there at least five times. The pizza is excellent (and that’s coming from someone who travels to Italy every year), and the service is consistently great. The manager, Sarah, is wonderful, and the best server on the entire resort is Aurora. She is friendly, efficient, attentive, and truly goes above and beyond. She is outstanding. We visited most of the other restaurants and found the food overall to be good for an all-inclusive resort. We spent our time at the 8th floor pool, which is always great. We did not use the main-level pool, so we can’t comment on that. I would not recommend Olio at night. It is consistently a complete disaster — poorly organized, long waitlists before it even opens, and hour-long waits despite the restaurant not appearing full. This has happened to us multiple times over multiple visits, so it does not feel like a one-off issue. That said, the other restaurants offer good food and are generally well run, so overall dining is still enjoyable. Our UBC representative, Vanessa Sanchez, was amazing. She went above and beyond for us and is incredibly kind. Roussy, who is a butler, is also wonderful. Thoughtful, attentive, and always willing to help in any way she could. The resort itself is very relaxing, and the weather on this side is always fantastic. We didn’t attend any evening shows or activities, so we can’t comment on those. I played pickleball in the mornings, and the instructor, Raphael, is excellent. The pickleball courts are in great condition, although they do get quite busy between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m., especially during clinics. The only suggestion would be to add some shade in the seating/waiting areas on the sides of the court. Overall, this is a resort we truly enjoy, largely because of the exceptional staff.

Secrets - no longer a romantic get away!
Secrets Bahai Spa and Surf Punta Mita: Beautiful facility, staff is committed to getting feedback and acting on it. Restaurants at Secrets were great. However, since Hyatt has taken over Secrets - it is not a romantic get away. There was one conference after another, it was like being in Las Vegas. The music at the pool was at top volume, often playing techno music. We were somewhat tricked into attending a high pressure presentation on the vacation club - which really made us uncomfortable. We have been to Secrets Resorts 8x in the past but would never go to another with a conference facility so this might be the last time that we ever go back to a Secrets.

Dreams Baha Mira check in shakedown.
Upon arrival in PV, the transfer to resort was long, almost 2 hrs with heavy noon traffic and several stops before ours taking us off the main highway on narrow rough winding roads. Greeted at resort with mamosa’s and hot towels. Check in was flawless, bags taken away, our room was ready for us. Upon leaving check in center we were immediately approached by sales person wanting to upsell us into Secrets side? All we wanted was to freshen up, unpack and eat but our politeness resulted in an hour long discussion about why we should spend even more money to vacation Secrets style? Our Dreams side was great, everything we could want! Pool waitress Paty was wonderful!!! So freindly and attentive. Food was great, pools great and weather was wonderful.
