This place is nothing like the pictures and descriptions tell you, not to mention they try to swindle you the whole time you’re there. We went for a wedding of a friend. There was a big group of us that went. When I booked, we chose the preferred ocean view balcony. We were told that the preferred club would get us extra things that regular guests couldn’t get-for example, a rooftop pool, certain restaurants, and adult pools. Once we got there, they told us that Indigo was what got you into the adult rooftop pool and special restaurants. We never were told or saw anything about indigo when booking. That is a separate building…from what I can tell it’s newer and nicer-but I did not see inside those rooms. But don’t worry, they told us we could have indigo privileges for $360 extra dollars. They never said there was more than one adult pool (one that preferred members can use), so we thought we needed to get this to have an adult only section. You cannot reserve dinners ahead of time so you have to go at 5:30 to put your name in anywhere and you still could wait 2 hours. The process of dinner is also very lengthy bc in some places the servers were also the cooks. The food was subpar pretty much everywhere except the indigo restaurant and the hibachi grill. The staff was half and half friendly/accommodating and rude. Now on to the room. I have literally never stayed in a more disgusting all inclusive resort in my life. They do not tell you ahead of time, but this is seaweed season, so the beach and water is full of seaweed and the smell is horrid. It’s a mix of dead fish and rotten eggs. The smell is pretty much throughout the resort. This would not have kept us from going bc we were there for a wedding, but we certainly wouldn’t have paid extra for an ocean view balcony that we couldn’t even use bc it was so stinky. The room itself is very outdated…which I can deal with even though that is not how it’s portrayed on pics. However, it was also filthy. I will attach photos. If I hadn’t been there for a wedding I would have left and asked for a full refund. The smell in our room was like dirty feet meets raw sewage. We tried to change rooms or upgrade to the indigo side but were told that wasn’t an option. The pools were not clean or kept up. This place is rundown, very dirty, and not staffed enough for good service. We did have a few good waiters and bartenders, but that was it. I would not recommend this to anyone. I honestly am baffled how it has over 4 stars in any area. This is the first and only vacation that I have been ecstatic to come to an end and to come home. It was the most awful experience.

Amazing week from start to finish... Beautiful resort,staff so friendly and extremely helpful... Entertainment great... José was our favourite at the pool bar, kept us hydrated throughout the week, nothing was ever a problem... Can't wait to return!!!

This trip was meant to be a special family vacation, but it fell far short of expectations. The room had the wrong bed setup, and despite promises, it took several days to fix. The room was noisy (next to a maintenance area), missing basics like an iron, and had visible water damage. The gym had no working cardio machines, and room service was extremely delayed — even arriving at 1:45 AM after being cancelled. Public washrooms were dirty on arrival, and the minibar had very limited options. Overall, poor communication and lack of proper service made this a very disappointing experience.

Decent overall resort. Hotel/Rooms are dated, good amount of drink options, limited food options but the options they have taste decent. only 1 outlet by the bed so bring extension chords. Staff struggled to help with managements incompetency.

Wedding in paradise
This was one of the best places we have been. We had our wedding there and Veronica and the wedding team did a superb job. Hands down the less stressful thing I’ve done. All we had to do was show up and everything else was taken care of with the highest level of customer service and professionalism. I was blown away and my wife and everyone else was blown away. Highly recommend!!!
