  Great hotel

  It's a great hotel. We were in the Club rooms which meant we had a private pool area also. They were very attentive to us, serving drinks while we were in the pool or sitting on the beach. The swim up pool was very noisy and people behaved badly. There were many options for food and it was all very good. I would defiantly go there again.

  Rui palace was a blast.

  Stayed at Riu from November 16–20 and had a great time. The resort is about 25 minutes from the airport, and check-in was a breeze. I even got my room before 3 p.m., which is a big plus for me. Drinks & Room They stock Jack Daniels, Patrón, and La Puerta Negra Reposado in the room. My room was spacious, clean, and well maintained—housekeeping did an excellent job throughout my stay. (Don’t forget to tip!) Beach & Pools The beach was small, clean, and really nice, with little coves where you can relax and enjoy the waves. Beach service was great as well. The resort has about four pools: • a swim-up bar • an adults-only pool • an activity pool • a quiet pool Dining The food was solid across the board. The steakhouse was my favorite—I tried the ribeye and lobster, both excellent. The breakfast buffet was also very good, definitely a Riu signature with tons of options. I didn’t try room service, but the sports bar is open 24 hours, perfect for late-night snacks. Extras You also get access to Riu Caribe, and the pool party there was a lot of fun. Overall Great experience from start to finish. I’d definitely recommend it.

  Very loud and crowded, not relaxing

  Peninsula was a very small hotel comparing to other Mexico resort i stayed. It was way too crowded and loud. It wasn't relaxing at all. if you are looking for a quite and relaxing place to stay, this is not the place you should go to. The only perks were the ocean view, the food, coffee, and cleanliness. Their bar was very weak. They have the worst service comparing to other Mexico all inclusive hotel i had visited. Some of the restaurant staffs look very tired and unwelcoming. They would complain if you don't tip them enough. But i would have to say their food and buffet was great.

  Excellent customer service

  Had a great time at the resort unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best the first few days but that is definitely not the resorts fault The staff at this resort have exceeded expectation they are so attentive and go above and beyond We had numerous great employees during our staff but a few stood out more then others mostly because we spent most of our time with them From the lobby bar Medez served us all nights and always kept our glasses full, for breakfast we had Louis always had a table and smiling *Santiago in the main buffet for dinner he gets a WOW 10/10 service for our group* if your coming soon here please go see him in the main buffet for dinner I can definitely say it’s the staff/people that keep me coming back to Mexico over and over again

  Could be better!!

  This hotel is an older property and the wear and tear is pretty visible. The food was fine but not something to brag about. We tried most of the ala carte restaurants but we preferred to eat at Las Olas buffet due to better options. I think the beach area was the highlight of our trip, it's excellent for lounging all day. *************Beware**************** Heads up on employees Fernando and Freddy in the outside bar area. Both of them are very rude, money hungry and straight up ugly and unprofessional. Fernando and Freddy will ignore you if you don't wave money at them. They need to be fired! It's disgusting that these employees behave this way. Management should control this type of behavior. This left us with a very sour taste in our mouth and due to this reason I would never recommend nor come back!!
