Jun 12, 2025Secrets brand continues to delight.
We had a fantastic experience at the resort! I definitely recommend any Secrets Resort to anyone considering a trip to Mexico. The food was excellent, and the beach was absolutely amazing. We were able to swim in the ocean every day, although there was some seaweed at times — nothing that took away from the overall experience. One highlight was dining at Dragon, where Chef Idisro (a top-rated chef) prepared an unforgettable meal. Highly recommend this resort.

Will be back
This resort is wonderful. Customer service 10/10. If you are preferred you get treated as such. My Concierge was accommodating and friendly. Definitely for an older crowd but super nice. All post clothes between the hours of 6 PM and 7 PM, which sucks. Food is typical resort food. The spa is amazing 10/10 wait to book when you check in for special deals. I will definitely return.

Great experience for my first time here.
Great stay! My travel partner was already a preferred member, and I reaped the benefits! Mauricio was our personal concierge. Room on the 23rd floor gave fabulous views! 21st floor was check in for preferred members with a bar and bites - open to us all day - Great spicy margaritas! We liked all our dinners. We dined first night at the Italian restaurant. Diego was a great waiter. Second night was at Bluewater Grill. Jesus was engaging, funny, and full of surprises with our desserts. Third night was at Dragons. Alexander was a gem! Chef Isidro created a chefs choice of sashimi, sushi, and rolls for us. Alexander’s recommendations were perfect. We enjoyed it so much we ate there again for final night. Again Chef Isidro hit a homeroom! We didn’t even open our menus, Alexander and Chef just sent out the best! What a wonderful experience. We spent our time at the preferred pool on 12. Benjamin (pool concierge) Roberto, Arturo, Alberto went above and beyond - I am forgetting to the name of another fabulous gentleman who was the pool concierge. Chairs were never an issue. Beach was rough first day. Lots of sargassum but hotel did their best to help that. Our last day the water was great and we were able to spend lots of time living it up in the crystal clear water! I can’t wait to go back!

Fabulous Hotel, amazing staff.
We had to change our hotel a couple of weeks before our holiday. We were so happy we picked Secrets the Vine. We spent 10 nights at this brilliant hotel; it was only a fifteen-minute drive from the airport. We had booked a Preferred Club room. The views from our balcony were fabulous as were the facilities in the room. Our Concierges were Oscar and Mauricio who could not have done anymore for us. We kept in contact with them via WhatsApp. They were both outstanding and anything we required they dealt with it quickly. The preferred pool on the 12th floor always had sunbeds available, even in the afternoon. Benjamin and Carlos did a great job looking after us and the other guests at the preferred pool, again nothing was too much trouble for them and the bar staff were always around taking orders for drinks. We had breakfast and lunch every day at the Market Café. It always had a great selection of food. Our waiters here were Pedro and Edgar, they always greeted us with a big smile and asked how we were. They both did a fantastic job of making sure we had our coffee, drinks and anything else we needed. We tried the Bluewater Grill, Dragons and Nebbiolo for our dinner. The Bluewater Grill was our favourite. The Half Time sports Bar also has a good selection of lite bites, Hot Dogs, Burgers, Wings. A couple of nights we ordered room service and had our dinner on the balcony. It was a great experience for us. So easy to order food using the tablet in the room. Again, the service was outstanding, setting up things for us to eat on the balcony. This is a fantastic hotel, the management should be very proud of their staff. Every one of them that we came into contact with from the girl that cleaned the room to the check in staff made us feel very special. Thank you.

The hotel is showing its age. Not as pristine as it used to be. The quality of the food has really dropped. Montezuma has paid me a visit for two days now! My room, 2132, has two thermostats. One was not working. I reported it. No one came to fix it. I asked the "butler" for two extra pillows. No one brought me any pillows. You would think that for $750/night you could get better quality everything but not so. There are now much better choices to spend your vacation at. Mind you, I am a constant guest at various Secrets Resorts. I am a fan obviously. BUT, The Vine I will not return to nor recommend.
