Conchal Family
We had a great time at this resort with our family ranging from 12-65! It was super easy to get to from the airport, a little over an hour drive. Once we got to the property they quickly got us checked in and drove us to our rooms. My immediate family stayed in a family suite, with two beds and a pull out sofa. It was a little tight, but we were not in room really at all. As far as I could see all rooms came with a nice little lanai. The room was restocked daily with waters etc, and there were plenty of water fill stations around the property. There was tons of wildlife on the property to peep at. The restaurants were pretty standard for all inclusive, not mind blowing. We did really enjoy the steak house. No restaurants take reservations but we never really waited. For the Bamboo restaurant, we got in line at 5:15 and were let in at 5:30. The pool and pool bars were great, they have waiters around pretty consistently. We were able to use the Famli area, and didn’t really notice too much of a difference from the other areas of the pool. They do have top shelf alcohol. We really enjoyed the pool and the activity center. The property is also beach front, the hotel will bring chairs out the beach for you which was amazing! They also have a ton of ocean gear that you can take advantage of (kayaks etc). While walking out to the beach there is a little isle of locals selling cute jewelry etc., it looks a bit intimidating but everyone is super nice. We met Erik G (blue google shirt) on the way to the beach, he was able to book our family a day in the rainforest (saw slothes), and a coffee and chocolate tour. Erik took care of everything for me, and I gave him very little notice and he was absolutely wonderful! He set us up with Christian from Conchal Expeditions. We had such a GREAT day, so if you see him stop! You won’t regret it! We would definitely come back to this resort, it was great!

Lovely and beautiful!
My family (Husband, mother-in-law (70) and child (5)) did a day pass at the Westin and really enjoyed the all inclusiveness. Right outside the exit to Playa Conchal is Erick G. in the blue google shirt. He was very helpful in planning trips that fit our needs and was awesome! Seek him out if you need airport transport or tours! Highly recommend. Thank you Erick!

Great trip
My husband, daughter and I just returned from an amazing trip to Costa Rica. The hotel was clean and the staff was amazing. The hotel recently stopped taking reservations for dinner but we didn’t have any trouble getting a table. We ate at most of the dinner options, our favorite were the Asian and Italian restaurants. The entire staff was amazing. Everyone at the resort was helpful. We needed an extra pillow and waters in our room…we called and someone brought them within a few minutes. The resort had people driving around in golf carts that will take you wherever you wanted to go which was nice when it was raining. The pool staff was great. There were activities at the daily. We booked an excursion with Erik G who is in a blue shirt on the beach. He did an amazing job. Super responsive and driver was very friendly. We had an amazing time and will definitely return!

Honeymoon Review
We came to the Westin for our honeymoon and we LOVED every minute of it. The property was beautiful, and every employee we encountered was lovely. We came to our room with fresh fruit, a stocked mini fridge, and my husband's favorite was a package of Oreos each day. We thoroughly enjoyed each of the restaurants on the property, but our favorite was Spirula. We went there two nights over the week that we were there and couldn't say enough good things about this place. The pool and bar were amazing. Each of the bartenders was attentive and made yummy cocktails. The beach was a short walk from the pool and was so dreamy. The people on the beach can be a little pushy at times, trying to sell goods, but we did enjoy a massage from one of the ladies who stopped and told us about her booth. They gave us a massage for 1 hour that was $40, and it was worth every bit. I looked up some reviews for excursions off the resort and found Erik G mentioned several times. I did some research and reached out to him, and he was super responsive. He got us a half-day tour to the Leona waterfall. When our driver Sergio arrived, he was the best tour guide, getting us to the excursion destination. He was so friendly and gave us a lot of information about the local Costa Rican culture. Following our awesome experience at the waterfall, Sergio took us to the McDonald's in Liberia, as well as stopping at a gift shop so we could buy some coffee and chocolate souvenirs. This was all around an amazing trip, and we loved Costa Rica. We cannot wait to be back!

50th anniversary celebration
This was a great experience. The resort itself was amazing and the staff was the icing on the cake. They were extremely friendly and willing to help in any way they could to make our stay memorable. The amenities were also great. We could not have asked for more than what was offered. Plenty of restaurants to handle the people, rooms were kept clean and comfortable and for us who were not used to the heat and humidity, rooms and most other buildings were well air conditioned. We ran into an entrepreneur on the beach, Eric G, who was extremely helpful in lining up off-resort excursions. He adjusted them for our age and abilities. We could not be more pleased and grateful for his advice and service. Eric followed up daily by texting to make sure we were properly taken care of. This was a vacation of a lifetime and only possible because of the resort, their staff and Eric G.
