  Nice resort.

  A nice smaller resort, with excellent food and service! The beach was not great but adequate. It would have been nicer if there were huts available at the beach to provide the option of shade.

  Ok hotel but wouldn’t return. Book the RIU Montego Bay instead…,

  Visited for a week last week and I’m always honest with reviews. There are good points and bad points but overall wouldn’t return to Riu Reggae. Upon arrival at the hotel, all is clean and well looked after. Offered a drink upon check in - nice touch. Checked in with a lady on ‘RIU Class’ desk. She seemed very unhappy, not welcoming and spoke like I was inconveniencing her. She’s in the wrong job… Was given a room for 3 people with 2 small queen and a sofa bed…. One thing I cannot cope with and I wouldn’t accept a hotel with a sofa bed in England, let alone on holiday in the Caribbean. No online photos shows a sofa bed so this was unexpected and disappointing. Room also smelt damp so requested to move which wasn’t possible until the day after. Upon moving room had a large king bed and a single bed which was much better. Room was cleaned every day and mini bar topped up. The downfall for the rooms that walls are thin and corridors echo, a lot. Sadly the hotel is over run with loud, drunk, young Americans who have no respect for people at 3/4am… so lack of sleep all week isn’t great, especially with the time difference from the UK. We were woken up every night multiple times which started to take its toll. Having stayed at RIU’s before the food compared to other Caribbean islands wasn’t the best. Very repetitive and nothing seemed hot, everything seemed warm. There also wasn’t ‘themed’ nights as advertised. Tried the Italian and Asian restaurant and they both lacked decent food so went to the buffet after… The best meal is definitely breakfast with fresh omelettes, eggs, pancakes. Good orange juice. Staff lovely and happy to get you what you want for drinks. Service was quick. A lot of birthdays so be prepared to hear ‘happy birthday’ A LOT while here. Good drinks options with a clear menu. All staff very helpful, happy people (except the receptionist). They all can’t do enough for you. The RIU entertainment team were amazing, as always. Full of joy and always so happy. Big shout out to Delroy on the pool bar. What a legend. Pools are a good size and clean. Beach is lovely. Sadly too much seaweed in the sea but this isn’t the hotels fault and personal preference. Definitely worth going to the RIU Montego Bay which you can access if you stay in the Reggae (3 minute walk) as this seems less of a ‘party’ hotel and more of a 5 star vibe. If I went back to Jamaica I’d definitely rather stay there than the RIU Reggae. More of a resort with more space and bigger, deeper pool. There is a free shuttle to the nearest shops which are worth going over to have a mooch. Or it’s walkable in 10 minutes. Amazingly close to the airport, less than 15 minutes transfer. Overall I wouldn’t return to the RIU Reggae.

  Highly recommend Hotel, fun and lively

  Spent two weeks here at the start of April, lovely clean hotel. Food is really good for an all inclusive, plenty of drink options to choose from. Plenty of activities to get involved in through day and night. Varied evening entertain ment shows which were all fantastic the ENT team are a credit to the hotel. What really makes this hotel is all the staff and how hard they all work to give you your best holiday. Bar staff and the entertainment team are such a great bunch.

  Always smiling in Jamaica

  I traveled with my adult daughter for spring break! We had so much fun! The staff is the reason keep coming back! Everyone is so friendly especially our server at the buffet, Zahaire, our favorite bartenders- Sharon, Michelle, Akheem, Shavon, Shannon, and Ura. The entertainment team is amazing! They work so hard all day to make sure everyone is having a great time, Bubbles, Brianna, Teddy, Spade 45, Foot Feet, and the rest of the team, thank you! Our room was well taken care of by the housekeeping staff! Definitely will come back again!

  Good time with friends

  Overall the trip was good. You couldn't ask for a better entertainment crew, bartenders and life guards. Wish the beach would have been bigger. Meals were good, breakfast best meal of the day.
