    The best hotel

    This hotel is the best hotel I've ever stayed in staff are worth there weight in gold friendly hard working the entertainment is amazing not 1 single thing I could moan about & I'm so hard to please will 100% be coming back i don't think 1 week long enough rooms spotless Team work certainly makes the dream work at this 5 star hotel xx

    Gratitude

    Overall, I had a fantastic time at Riu Reggae. The front desk staff (Justin) was very professional and patient with any request we threw at him. The safe was not working, and it was repaired the same night. Rooms - Cleaners (Toni-Anne and Terri-Anne)were good and very attentive to what was needed and any changes that needed to be made (ex., on the first night, we had no shower gel) Dining - whether breakfast, lunch (jerk chicken shack) or dinner. We were treated very well. Andrea Marston took the time to make a mental note of what we drank in the mornings, and every morning, as long as we were there, we did not have to ask. Dinner, with the same awareness and style, was excellent. Kayon was great. Anecia Simpson (pregnant and delightful) was a pleasure to see in the evenings, always working with a smile. Janae was always on point with our drinks as we sat for dinner. Charlottee knew how to make our "Jamaica Smile".

    Amazing trip

    We celebrated my brother’s 40th birthday, and let me just say — it was amazing, amazing, amazing! The food was absolutely delicious — everything I tasted was to die for (and that’s coming from another Caribbean woman, so you know I don’t say that lightly!). The entertainment was top tier! I have to give a big shoutout to a few of the workers who really made the experience unforgettable: Teddy, Flex, Prince, and Nahzie — these guys work incredibly hard and can dance their behinds off! The bartenders kept the drinks flowing all night. I was a little disappointed there wasn’t any top-shelf liquor included, especially for the price we paid, but I did enjoy the rum punch — it was definitely a hit! As for the rooms — they were okay, nothing to rave about. And I wish there had been more restaurant options. The Asian restaurant was closed for our entire stay, which was a bit of a letdown. All in all though, it was an unforgettable celebration!

    It was amazing

    My stay at RUI Raggae was amazing the staff was amazing the food was amazing the resort was really clean and the shows and performances were great we came for a birthday girls trip but I will be back for a family vacation this was lovely

    Hotel riu reggae montego bay

    Thank you for sharing the additional details—I'm sorry to hear you went through such a stressful experience. Based on everything you've told me, --- Disappointing Handling of Theft at Riu Reggae, Montego Bay We stayed at Hotel Riu Reggae in Montego Bay for two weeks. On the surface, it was a lovely getaway—great food, friendly staff, and a vibrant, reggae-inspired atmosphere that made the trip feel fun and relaxed. Unfortunately, the trip was significantly affected by a very serious issue: our phone and bank cards were stolen. We were able to track the phone using "Find My Phone" and saw it had been taken around 30 miles away, confirming it was not simply misplaced. The hotel’s response was deeply disappointing. Three staff members searched our room, and the experience felt intrusive and accusatory—as though we were being doubted or blamed, rather than supported. We were also told the police had been contacted, but due to a previous traumatic experience involving police just seven weeks earlier in Turkey, my husband was understandably anxious and did not feel safe engaging further in that way. To make matters worse, we received no apology, no empathy, and no offer of compensation. There was no follow-up or proper handling of what is, ultimately, a criminal offence. The lack of care shown by the hotel management has left a lasting negative impression. While the food and general service were enjoyable, this incident—and how it was dealt with—completely overshadowed the rest of our stay. At this point, we are considering legal advice, as theft is a serious matter, and the hotel failed in their duty to handle it properly. ---
