    Had a great trip / loved the amazing staff (stayed 8 nights in Jan 2026)

    This was our 3rd time staying at Sandos Finisterra: and again, it did not disappoint! The resort is unique and has a level of cultural history that we appreciate. We also love the location: steps from the Marina, and the dog-hike next door!! The rooms are very spacious and exceptionally clean: while some are updated and modern, others have the old-school Mexican feel, which I personally prefer. There is no 'bad view' anywhere in the resort. (If you end up with an oceanfront balcony, bring your binoculars: you can watch the whales jumping in the ocean, right from your room!) . The food was exceptional this time around - we never had a bad meal and every restaurant had something 'new' that we didn't try last visit. The sushi is honestly some of the best sushi any of our group has ever had!!! The pools are all very well maintained and we spent all of our time at the Adult Pool/Swim Up Bar. We also wanted to point out that the STAFF is part of the reason we keep coming back to this resort. Some of the staff members even remembered our group of friends from our last visit in 2025!! Honourable mentions to the following staff members (they should be congratulated and thanked for their incredible level of customer service, kindness, attention to detail, and consistent smiles!!! Without them, our vacation would not have been as perfect as it was!!!) Entertainment Staff: Enrique was SO fun and great at his job. Yuki and Carmen went out of their way to make everyone feel part of the fun, and appreciated. The White Party Night included management staff and we loved that everyone was spotlighted. The shows were all AWESOME. Cupcake: thank you Amadeus for always being SO professional, kind, and knowing my precise coffee order!!! Whalewatchers Pub: Luis and Tejate were incredible. Luis even remembered us from our last visit and kept everything so clean and running smoothly every night! Pool: SEVERNO was THE BEST BARTENDER ever!!! Never stopped working (go-go-go!) and always with a kind smile. Norma was our best server and went out of her way to always make sure we were happy with our food and drinks. Spa/Gym: a HUGE thank you to Frederico for being such a great trainer, and for keeping the facilities running smoothly and clean. I loved my gym-time !! Thank you to Claudia for an incredible cacao scrub: I will be back to the spa for a repeat!!! The facilities are amazing and I cannot express how much I love the sauna/steam options before my spa services, including the staff that help all along the way. Front Desk: wow ALVARO for always being ready to help with everyone's bags, transportation, and with a smile. VIP: Ismael makes the BEST margaritas and is always helpful and kind to everyone - even if they aren't aware the pool is VIP only. Agave Steakhouse: WOW Rondero and Brayan who went above and beyond for us every night we were there and for remembering us from our last visit. We had the best service we could have ever asked for. The grilled provolone is to die for!!

    Had the best time with Jafet doing the water Zumba . So much fun and so much energy. He got our group going after a long night out . Highly recommend checking out the main pool for a little morning exercise with Jacet

    Another stay at this fabulous resort!

    We love this resort. The cleanliness of the property, amazing staff, delicious food and drinks, beautiful sunrises and sunsets and view of the whales. We have to recognize Alberto, Jaz and John, the DREAM team! They took such good care of us. Try John’s espresso martini! Christian gave us excellent service at Tortuga! Sosa and Ismail were also amazing. Butlers, Edgar and Ana, were very responsive. Elizabeth and Claudia gave us wonderful massages at the Spa. The White Party was so much fun and the entertainment team is top notch! This is an amazing property that we highly recommend for a wonderful stay in Cabo—a magical place 🤩

    Montazumas Revenge

    We have visited Sandos Finisterra apx 7 times & have always had a wonderful experience. The grounds are beautiful & well maintained, pools are perfect for relaxing & Restaurants serve great variety & good food. We chose Marina View Room... great view of the Dolphin's being trained & the city lights are beautiful. The room itself was good except the A/C didn't cool the room & after showering it was so humid in room we had to open door to cool room. On day 4 Montazumas Revenge hit me with a vengeance. Yes, as always I brush my teeth with tap water. The room had a 'big blue jug' water dispenser which I filled my own bottles with daily. This dispenser was in a small closet with the mini-fridge... always quite warm in the closet.. perfect place for bacteria to flourish. I wonder of it was actually purified water, or just refilled from garden hose & was it ever cleaned? The pool area had Cucumber, Lemon, & Ice Water which of course i partook of daily...assuming these 'jugs' were cleaned on a regular basis. I also drank the yummy Green Juice every morning for breakfast. What water was used to clean the veggies. & what water was added to the juice? Trust me, Montazumas Revenge (e.coli) is real!!!! & the sickest you could ever be. Upon leaving learned 3 members of a wedding party were also deathly sick & bed ridden. I wonder how many more? Bottom line, great property... just beware of anything that could be in contact with contaminated water.
