Jan 28, 2026I personally would not recommend ... should of done my research.
I want to start by saying I never write reviews ... and if I did they would be brief this will not be the case as I hope this information might be helpful for someone considering this location. Secondly we are not picky people we don't complain over small stuff we are a fairly easy going group so if that helps paint a picture let me break out the pros and cons below of our stay in January 2026 ..... (had I done more research I would of noticed a common thread of the complaints and would of booked elsewhere.) It wasn't all bad so I want to start with the PRO's. - The staff were incredible so friendly and kind - The beach was beautiful and well maintained - The water slides were great Now with the CON's (in no particular order, some of this is petty but putting it all out there as they were important to us) - beach towels they were often out and had none available. - there is a lack of bathrooms by the pool area and the one day the one was closed, I understand stuff goes wrong but here is where I think the biggest issue is they don't have the resources for the capacity they have. - the mini putt only had two putters so only one family can go at a time ... I really found a lot of advertising misleading. - al carte reservations have to be at 8 am sharp of you will not get a table this would be very difficult for a large group also annoying if you want to sleep in. - The wifi is poor I did read that in advance and thought no big deal better excuse to disconnect however point "A" above you need wifi to reserve the restaurants also we usually bring a fire stick to watch movies in our room and we couldn't with this wifi. - Room service was very sporadic and often fridge would not get restocked without hounding. -Don't bother calling front desk they never answer and that's tied to my point below. - Luckily we arrived late at night because during the day there was always a line up of like 30 or more people waiting to check in, they clearly lack efficiency in this process and why you couldn't get support when trying to call. - The pools were so cold - I'd guess below 70 very disappointing. - TV's in your room are very limited for what is available to watch (hence why it sucked when fire stick didn't work). - Food was not to our liking very bland. - We all got so sick so we didn't trust the food, yes this could of just been a bug but my spouse got sick more than one night. - The beach access door or keys would never work to open had to wait until someone let us out or in. That's it, I hope this helps someone considering this location.

My family and I love the Crown! Great hotel with lots of activities, the only thing the hotel needs to do is fix the food and maybe update the rooms. If those things get fixed then that resort might be the best resort in Mexico. Such a great fun hotel!

The buffet was great! Loved the two story room! Everyone was very very nice!
Absolutely incredible!! Especially our bellboy Jesus, he made the trip worth the while with how helpful he was and anything we needed he was just a call away!
