Amazing hotel - ignore the bad reviews
Hotel - We stayed at the resort between 1st Dec and 15th Dec. We are a young couple with no children but opted for this resort due to its good location and deals. Room - We had a standard room with 2 double beds and a balcony facing the sea. The room and bathroom was very clean, no concerns with the cleanliness of the room, it was cleaned daily if we wanted, and often got fresh towels, sometimes they would forget but you can speak with the reception and request more. The room was always cleaned to a high standard and we felt safe with our stuff being in there. Our room was cleaned by Adriana, who we often saw walking around and was all smiling and happy. The air con worked well in the room. The weather got very bad one night and the patio door leaked, meaning our case got wet, so best to not put cases by the patio doors. Location - The hotel is in an ideal location, bus stops right outside the hotel, uber can collect from the main road and felt safe. Entertainment - There was daily activities on for children and adults, we did not participate in this but they consisted of yoga, aqua Zumba, pool volley ball. The evening entertainment was aimed at children with it being a family hotel but we enjoyed the grease and Michael Jackson show. The hotel is right on the beach which also has a beach bar. We found it very easy to get sun beds and there was no sun bed wars. The main pool loses sun at 2:30/3pm. But if you don’t have kids you can go to the adult only pool and get sun for the rest of the afternoon. The adult only pool was a good laugh and often wild. If you’re a young couple without children it doesn’t feel like you’re in a family hotel. Food - We came with TUI and was guaranteed 3 bookings in the restaurants at the hotel. We got all of our choices. We then logged into the website via a QR code every morning at 8am and was able to book into the restaurant’s that had available slots. This was easy to do and we always managed to get into 1. We ate in restaurants 8 times and buffet 6. My partner has a severe nut allergy and they were very accommodating, all good signs and menus had allergens on and the staff was very understanding and attentive. We were worried about this prior but felt very safe. If you can book into the restaurants it is worth it, the food is amazing, the service is great and fast. In particular the French adults only restaurant was very nice and fancy. But worth nothing that the dress code is strict for men (long pants, closed toe shoes and collared shirt) and they do enforce this, also no kids allowed in this restaurant. Also, there’s a large variety of food for kids and adults to enjoy. Services / staff - Staff was very attentive to get you drinks, day and night. They would often come over to our sun beds and ask what drinks we wanted. At night, we spent most of our time in collage bar, Juan Carlos was usually on the bar and he was always a great laugh, getting us drinks quickly and contributed to many hangovers. All of the staff at the hotel were attentive, polite and hard workers. You would often see them working all day and night and working well under pressure. Check out is 12pm, however you can hand over ID and keep your all inclusive perks until 2pm. The only negative is that on our final night, a guest had checked in and been given our room, he walked into our room, thinking it was his and was very apologetic. Clearly a mix up from the reception staff. However this could had been very unsafe. Worth keeping the chain across when you are in your room, day/night. Overall, the hotel was clean, the staff were very attentive and we had an amazing experience.

Fantastic resort, excellent location
We've had an amazing week at this hotel. I'll get the negatives out of the way, the rooms have small issues like taps swivelling, plugs stuck in sinks, tired jacuzzis, leak damage on ceilings, there's only one lift working in building 2, long queues at reception etc. None of these caused me an issue until I woke up to dripping on the bed, then parts of ceiling plaster fell onto the floor. The corridors flooded and other guests had water leaking into rooms in both building 1 and 2, plaster falling and light fittings. Now the issues all came into play as the lift situation became more noticeable as we had to go to reception 4 times about this issue, waiting in very long queues to discuss the situation. The way the receptionist handled my issue was awful. She was extremely rude, categorically informed me there were no rooms for us to move into and said they'd fix the room. We met a couple later on who had the same situation, received a bad attitude from the receptionist but stuck out for a room move and got one. We went back to our room to find nothing fixed, just the plaster tidied up and the bed moved to avoid the drip. The toilet then broke, so another trip to reception, to be told categorically no rooms available to move to. I demanded a manager who miraculously found us a room. We moved rooms ourselves. The ceilings in floor 8 of both buildings are obviously in a bad state. Now for the positives, and there are many. The rooms have fantastic views, are comfortable and cleaned daily. The mini bar was replaced daily. The restaurants are amazing, we enjoyed all food, in fact they exceeded expectations. All dining rooms were themed to the country they represented. There was obviously a great deal of effort put into this. Our preference by far was the French, the goats cheese and pear starter was delicious, followed by the French onion soup which was absolutely mind blowing. It was a bowl of onion soup and melted cheese with a pastry lid, the waiter pierces the lid to look like eyes and mouth, billows of steam come out. It is very hot but exceptional. We then had fillet mignon in roquefort sauce. Absolutely amazing food and service. We also enjoyed the choice of food and service in the buffer where we chose to ear lunch. We breakfasted in the Italian as that included table waiter service. We loved the adults only pool and extremely comfy daybeds. There was no need to get up early, we always got sunloungers or daybeds. The queues can be lengthy at bars but that's what you get when guests go with large receptacles to fill and ask for lots of cocktails. Overall the place is a little tired and in need of TLC and if issues occur they aren't sorted easily. But we did eventually end up in a huge suite with 4 patio windows, a wrap around balcony, dining room, lounge and kitchen, so we were really happy. We don't usually go back to hotels, but we would here.

I can't encourage you to avoid this property enough
The staff here is incredibly rude unless you are holding money in front of them. No one will give you change for large bills. This lead to several staff members extorting us in order to get change (eg. I'll give you 4 100 peso notes for 1 500 perso note). At one point my son's bed broke and a sharp metal piece was sticking out that could easily hurt him. We had to ask repeatedly for it to be fixed. The bathroom was full of mould. The rooms did not look as advertised. One pool was out of order our entire stay. We were "accidentally" checked out of our room 3 times, meaning we had to spend excessive amounts of time at the front desk being ignored and berated by the staff, as though it was our fault our keys didn't work anymore. The kids paradise staff were good. The theater shows were good. The food is what you expect. Three of us were incredibly I'll for about 24 hours. The beach is amazing, but stay at a better resort and you'll still have the amazing beach.
