Great time
Stayed for 8 days from end of December thru new years. Booked again already for next year. For an all-inclusive the food was excellent, from the restaurants to the buffet. Staff was very friendly and our room was recently renovated so it was excellent. No fighting for chairs by the pool. There were plenty. My only negative is there isn't much to do on the island at night. At least we didnt find anything yet!!

A true gem of a resort!
We just returned home from a fantastic week at Coconut Bay. This resort is 5 stars all around! The room was immaculate, the food was by far the best all inclusive food we have ever had, and every staff member had a smile on their face and went out of their way to make sure all guests had an amazing time. The pools were all excellent, something for everyone! We spent most of our afternoons floating around the lazy river. The slides were a fun touch as well. Paradise Beach is not to be missed! Yes, it's the Atlantic, but it was an amazing shade of turquoise and calmer than the beach at Punta Cana the last time we were there. We had no complaints at all! The evening entertainment was great! Live musicians, terrific dancers, so much variety and fun to be had every night! While all of the staff was amazing, I wanted to give a few shout-outs. Merkii at the coffee shop was an absolute gem. Starting my day seeing her smiling face every morning was such a treat! Jedi at the lobby bar was always smiling and happy to see us. He was such a joy to see every evening! Nick was one of our favorite bartenders. We made a point of searching him out at whatever bar he was at as he never made a drink we didn't like! Erskine at the lobby bar made an amazing extra dirty martini. Such a pleasure! We will absolutely be back, this resort is pretty much perfect!

Fabulous week at Coconut Bay
What a fantastic couples week away at Coconut Bay. Resort is fairly small, we could easily walk around the entire resort. Booking à la cartes was easy for our group of 10. We absolutely loved Silk and Trattoria, as well as Calabash. Buffett was always hot and replenished frequently. Lots of variety. A must is the daily aquafit with Vernon in the activity pool, he is fabulous and a great daily aqua workout. We all loved that the resort was full on both Splash and Harmony sides but you would not know that, always lots of available lounge chairs around the pools anytime of day. Fabulous resort, we absolutely would recommend to all and we will be back.

Adult side was the better side.
The longer we stayed, the better we liked it. At first it was underwhelming. The kids play area was vacant, sad. The swim up bar was tucked away in a dark corner, accessible through a waterfall. The WI FI was unusable in most locations. and was restricted on only 2 per room. The music was loud and started up way too early in the day. The iron in the room didn't work, and the blow dryer only worked on the one US outlet, that was already shared with our phone chargers and devices. But as we stayed the week, we enjoyed the food (although very similar in the multiple restaurants). There was always a breeze blowing, so it never felt overly hot. Bring bug spray when sitting away from the beach, or in the outdoor dining, the nats will chew up your ankles! The rooms on the kids' side were nothing special, and did not have tubs to bathe the kids after a day of pool, beach and sunscreen. There were lots of excursion opportunities and the island has some great places to visit.

Excellent New Year's Friends & Family Trip
We spent the week of New Year's at Coconut Bay and had an excellent time. This was my family's 2nd time staying here and this time 3 other families joined us. The kids all had a great time and their ages range from 9 to 19, there's stuff for everyone. The New Year's Eve party is pretty amazing, everyone goes all out for it. They start setting up 2 days before, even. I've been around a while and it's one of the best NYE parties I've ever been to. The staff are great and there are a ton of employees which is great. One day one of the thermostats wasn't working right, it was "frozen". I called the desk and 3 minutes later someone was at my door and 5 minutes later it was fixed. Just had to be removed/reset or something. The location is really cool looking and it's such a plus that it's only 5 minutes away from the airport, especially after a long flight or before one. Taking a short walk down the beach to the beach bar hut, hammocks and beach seating area is a must. The activities during the day led by CJ and the team, and the different entertainment options at night are a lot of fun, as well. Vernon and his aquacise classes are wild, a lot of our group really enjoyed that. The food is really good and there are enough options to keep it interesting for a week. It's also fun when they setup the specialty nights a couple of times a week along with a show.
