    We wanted to love it..

We enjoyed our stay. However, this is an average all include Caribbean resort. While the pools are great and the water slides kept our kids (ages 8 and 5) very happy and entertained, we lacked the crystal clear, turquoise waters of the Caribbean beach. The resort provided a free shuttle to a near by beach that had clearer water, which was nice. The food was average as well. The buffet lacked a bit of variety but the drinks were great and the restaurants were nice, especially the Asian (Silk) The resort did a great job with theme nights and created a fun atmosphere for guests. Rooms can definitely use an upgrade and more cleaning. Our mattress had visible stains on it and the ceiling fan was unusable with the amount of dust on it. We didn’t need to use it thankfully. The staff was overall pleasant and friendly but some appearing more cold and indifferent towards guests. We had a great time exploring the island by day excursions booked through the resort. Transportation was easy and the closest we ever stayed to the airport. Overall, this was an enjoyable family trip.

    Nice, relaxing holiday

Review The setting at coconut bay is beautiful, palm trees everywhere, well manicured lawns and gorgeous flowers and greenery throughout. Plenty of sun beds at each of the pools, the water park is 2 slides (well 3 but you can only go on the 3rd small one once you’ve gone on one of the other 2) these and the lazy river were a hit with the kids. Toilets round the pools could do with a refurb and more regular cleaning. There are nicely positioned hammocks to lie in and look out over the ocean. Beach isn’t the prettiest. The buffet for breakfast was fab. Dinner buffet was ok, no complaints but it definitely catered to western travellers, I would’ve liked to see more local dishes. That said, I loved the dessert station each night. The Jerk tree house was delicious and there were plenty of snack options from flip flops and the self serve snack station during the day. The western night was great fun as was the Caribbean night, these were my favourite meals of the trip. It was a shame not to be able to have coconuts readily available, even at a cost, as I love fresh coconut milk on holiday. Most staff were friendly, I can’t say all were. A big shout out to Dre, who served by the pool - always with a big smile and amazing service, he was non stop taking drinks orders ensuring he got round to everyone. Same for Quincy who was always so friendly and welcoming at dinner service and Jen who tended to our room and made the best towel animals. Keisun on the entertainment team was brilliant too. His water fight with the kids on our last day was a highlight for them. Whether music played was hit n miss at the pools. It would’ve been nice to have had it on all day with more of a varied playlist. On the note of music baby shark and heads shoulders knees n toes were a vibe killer at the pool party. Having the opportunity to pay for late check out was great as we had a night flight. All in all a nice family resort on a beautiful island.

    A little piece of heaven

Coconut Bay really is an amazing place to stay and the people that work there are some of the loveliest, most hard-working people I have ever met. I booked this holiday to celebrate my son turning 18 and my husband's impending 50th birthday and with high expectations, it did not disappoint. On arrival, the team were waiting at the airport to shuttle us to the resort; it was a smooth and efficient process. On arrival at the hotel, we were welcomed with a cold flannel and a cold beverage. Check in was easy and our bags we brought up to our room almost as quickly as we could walk there. We are a family of 4 and stayed in a Splash Premium Oceanview room. The room was spacious and met our needs. The 'king size' bed was massive, so much so it makes our king size bed at home feel tiny. The boys slept on a trundle bed which they were both really happy with. The bathroom did the job, and the fully stocked mini fridge was a god send. Cassie from housekeeping kept our room clean and tidy during our stay and left lovely little notes in our room every day that made us smile. She was also really accommodating to our routine and would come back if we were still faffing around. The main pool and activity pool were great; the 'water park' needs a little refurbishment but still enjoyable. The pool bar is epic; they do some lush cocktails and work tirelessly. A shout out to Sandy who made us the best cocktails, she is a star! Sitting around the poolside you don't even have to move to get a drink, as the staff regularly walk around asking you if you would like a drink and collecting empties. These guys need a raise walking round constantly in that heat! The beach is beautiful, and the hotel maintain it daily. The beach bar is a lovely addition to just sit and look out to sea. Coconut Bay Marketplace is the main place to eat. This is a buffet style restaurant and is jammed packed with a variety of food options whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. A massive shout out to Ishy (Ishmila) who makes THE best pasta dishes, he was even kind enough to give my youngest son the recipe to one of his delicious meals! All the staff here were brilliant. The Flip Flop was my sons' favourite place to eat for lunch and for their late night 'snacks'. It was quick and tasty. As for the other restaurants, the Jerk Tree House and Trattoria were great. Trattoria was difficult to book and get a table in, but it was worth the visit. Now onto our favourite place, Silk! Silk was just outstanding; the food was exquisite, the service was beyond words, and it was just a really special place. Miss Ima was a gem, and even if we couldn't reserve a table at the desk (there is a reason it is so popular) she did everything possible to get us a table as a walk in. A massive thank you to her. We went back to Silk 4 times, not only because of the delicious food but also because of Bertha, our server. Bertha is the sweetest. She was kind, attentive and is a true asset to the hotel. It was really sad saying goodbye to her on our last day. The fitness suit is good, air conditioned, thankfully and there are lots of activities you can choose to do. We played Pickleball, Tennis and Basketball; we also played table tennis and pool in the Cove. Lots to keep the teenagers entertained. The entertainment team really do make the hotel what it is. They put on so many different events both during the day and in the evening: Water polo, Poolside Bingo, Foam Parties, Cowboy night, Carnaval night, Karaoke, the list is endless. They work tirelessly and left me wondering if they actually ever sleep! A special shout out to Keisun; Keisun is a rare gem full of boundless energy and joy. When I look back on our holiday and all the wonderful memories, he really is intertwined in them. He holds a special place in our hearts and is an asset to the hotel. During our stay we went on 3 excursions: All Inclusive Catamaran (Land and Sea) - this was brilliant, it was lovely to sail around and see the island this way. The snorkelling was our favourite part of this excursion. ATV Tour - Highly recommend; great fun and lots to explore. Rainforest Zipline - The boys (including the husband) had the best morning doing this. Worth doing if you like a bit of adventure. All-inclusive really does mean all-inclusive at Coconut Bay. The laundrette is free. Visiting the nurse is free. A shuttle bus to Laborie beach on the Caribbean side of the island is free, and the staff bring along refreshments for you to have during your visit. Your morning coffee, frappes and smoothies are free. Shout out to Merkill at the Coffee Shack; your smile brightened up my early mornings and you always remembered my order. Best frappes in town! All in all, I cannot recommend Coconut Bay enough and I can't wait to go back. It really is a beautiful place with beautiful people, and the little extras during your stay go a long way.

    Budget-Friendly All-Inclusive Near the Airport

If you’re looking for an affordable all-inclusive stay close to the airport, Coconut Bay may be a good option—just know what to expect. The resort is located only about a 5-minute drive from the airport, which is very convenient. However, the water along this stretch is brown, and I would not recommend swimming at the beach. The rooms are modestly furnished. Beds are not the most comfortable, and the doors/windows have small gaps that could allow in noise, though our stay was surprisingly quiet. Coconut Bay has two distinct sides: • The adults-only “Harmony” side is quiet and relaxing, with pools, a bar, and plenty of lounge options. • The family-friendly “Splash” side is lively, with music, pools, slides, and occasional local vendors. Dining is centralized. The buffet offered a decent variety, though a lot of the food leaned toward processed options. The drinks were good, though frozen cocktails came from a premade mix. Service throughout was friendly, and the staff were attentive. Overall, this is a budget-friendly resort with the basics covered: friendly staff, multiple pools, and an all-inclusive package in a convenient location. If you’re looking for a true beach vacation with swimmable waters or a more upscale atmosphere, I’d recommend considering properties near the Pitons or Marigot Bay.

The best Trip once again at COCONUT BAY BEACH RESORT & SPA!

Once again, I had the best time at Coconut Bay. This was my first time on travelling solo, as I unually come as part of a couple - and it was absolutley wonderful. I honestly couldn't fault a thing. The staff are truly fantastic, the food is delicious, the gardens are beautiful, and the entertainment team are famulous. The Spa is amazing - such a relaxing experience, and the facial I had was out of this world. Add in the top-shelf drinks and the super short taxi ride from the airport ( 5 minutes if that), and its no suprise I (we) keep coming back. We'll be returning in November and January, which will mark our 19th and 20th trip. That really says it all!!
