If you like cold showers, this is the place for you

Let me start by saying that we have been blessed by being able to travel to many hotels in Europe, the Caribbean,Mexico and Hawaii in addition to the UnitedStates. Overall I would give this hotel a C- First of all the positive aspects of the resort. Some of the workers here are very friendly and helpful to the point that you can’t help appreciate it and tip them. The rest are either average(don’t care one way or the other) or downright rude. The food is average at best. The drinks average at best. Wine consists of 4 dollar bottles of wine. Bad enough that you either have to get a taxi (24 dollars round trip to a liquor store) to pay around 15 dollars for a half way decent brand or they are kind enough to sell you the same brand for 35 dollars. I am sure they bring in nice revenue from guests who either have to drink cheap wine or spend more for something that is a little more enjoyable. The main reason we are not coming back here is the fact that there is a Major problem with the hot water in the shower. Our first room on the 3rd floor of the Harmony wing was to our liking until we we went to take a shower. When I say luke warm I mean in between cold and Luke warm. We immediately called the front desk who sent up a gentleman who had no idea how to fix the problem and said he was going to check into it. 24 hours later no response and cold to luke warm water. We called down stairs again and said we wanted to talk to the manager. No one called us back. Next we go to front desk and demand to see manager. He comes to our room and checks the water for himself and states that he will have it fixed or they will get us a new room. They can’t fix it so they get us another room on same floor. We start bringing in our luggage and I check the shower. Luke warm. We called manager again and I am not joking when I say they spent an hour and a half trying to fix the problem. After that he had us check the temperature of the water. It seemed a tad warmer and we were optimistic that it would heat up to a decent temperature. A day later and it is just as bad as the first room. My wife likes cooler showers but was unable to stay in the shower for more than 2 minutes. I had trouble staying in there for more than a minute. Bottom line is this. There is a big problem with being able to increase the temperature of the water in the shower. The fact that they could not fix the problem after they worked on it for 90 minutes leads me to believe there is a major problem with the water heating infrastructure in the hotel or at least in that section of the hotel.( we spoke with several of our neighbors on the same floor who were experiencing the same problem). Never in our travels over the last 30 years did we ever experience a problem that was as bad as this and could not be fixed. In closing, there was a manager’s social event in the lobby this evening where we were supposed to mingle with the management of the hotel and we were for the 4th time going to approach them with this problem. Guess what? No managers were present. In closing my sister and her family and her husbands family have reservations to come here in the summer for a sort of a reunion. Needless to say that when I tell them about all of this, they are going to be changing there plans

    Couples trip with kiteboarding

We love Coconut Bay and St Lucia, just got home from our 2nd holiday there. The resort rooms, amenities, food and drinks are all great and we have zero complaints. What really makes Cbay standout is the staff, they really make the stay sensational. A handful of shoutouts to some of the staff that stood out on our past trip: the Surf Shack crew, Linus, Andre, Jeremy, Stan and Notice make our kiting experience phenomenal; the entertainment legends Keisun, Kimani, Bshem, Rikata and Richie Mae the nights a blast! I highly recommend seeking out these people in your stay and meet more of the staff. Can’t wait to go back!

    Coconut Bay Stans

This was my third visit to CBay, and as soon as we got home, we rebooked for next year. That pretty much says it all. What I love most about this resort is how thoughtfully it’s designed: it’s close to the airport, beautifully laid out, and even when fully booked it never feels crowded. There’s no scrambling for loungers, and the separation between adult-only and family areas is done really well. The rooms are comfortable, the food is exceptional in both quality and variety (especially for an all-inclusive), and the drinks are always generous and easy to come by. But the absolute highlight of CBay is the staff — they are truly a whole vibe. Everyone is incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely takes the time to get to know you. It honestly feels like coming back to visit friends. Don’t miss the Paradise Bar down on the beach if you’re looking for a more secluded, relaxed beach-bar experience. On the walk down, chat with a few local artisans making beautiful bracelets and crafts. The daytime activities and nighttime entertainment are always so fun, with the social activity team keeping the energy high. Special shoutout to Kiesun, Bshem, Akiea, and Kimanie for bringing such great vibes. Vernon’s fitness classes are another highlight I look forward to every year. From yoga in a stunning setting to strength training and hands-down the best water aerobics you’ll ever do, it’s the perfect balance of wellness, fun, and relaxation. There’s also a small rescue petting zoo on the property, which is such a lovely and unexpected bonus. Lastly, our group originally came for the kitesurfing, and we can’t say enough good things about the Kite Shack crew. It’s an incredible place to learn, and Linus, Andre, Jeremy, Stan, and Notice are experienced instructors who’ve created a fun, laid-back kite community that keeps us coming back. A huge thank you to Coconut Bay for creating a boutique all-inclusive experience that provides me with exactly what I need on my holidays, you really do think of s everything

    Coconut Bay

Sorry, very late review. We had an amazing stay, made even better by the incredible staff across the entire resort. From the restaurants to entertainment, bars, housekeeping, and guest services, everyone we met went above and beyond. The restaurant teams were consistently welcoming — Travis, Skeet, Randall, Claude, all delivered friendly, attentive service that made every meal enjoyable. The Trattoria team — Shantel, Rowanda, Gus, Cory, Bre, and Neesa — were equally fantastic, creating a relaxed and delicious dining experience each time. Huge thanks as well to chefs Manish and Angelo for the wonderful food and trainee, Marcel. Denver at the Veranda, Dartz at Calabash, Starz at Flip Flops, Bradson in the shop, and Jonathan at Coconut Walk all added to the great experience. Breakfast service was always a pleasure thanks to Shekina, Toya, Shermanda, Derick, and Darick, who brought great energy to the start of each day. The bar staff kept the atmosphere fun and the drinks flowing — Dre at the bar, Lamar at both the bean bar and main bar, Kerry at the beach bar, Kermale, Holder, and the rest of the team were all brilliant. Entertainment was a real highlight. Andra, Hose, Topaz, Akia, and Emmy brought so much life to the resort, and the Michael Jackson tribute act was outstanding. The NYE team — Jabari, Gina, and Urbi — made the celebration unforgettable. A special shout out to Vernon, who made every class amazing and so much fun — a real standout. Guest services and resort support were equally impressive. Attie at the tour desk, Tara at reservations, Steffie and Kimberly at reception, and Emely the manager were all incredibly helpful. Housekeeping from Melika was spotless every day. The towel team — Scheva and Danneil — were always cheerful, and security staff Tari and Wycliffe were reassuring and friendly. Transport was smooth and easy thanks to Luden from the taxi team. Other honourable mentions go to Glenroy, Hilan, Claude, Marz, Malik, and Zidan (trainee), who each made a noticeable difference in our stay. Every single person we encountered contributed to a stay that felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared for. We’re so grateful to all of you — thank you for making our trip so memorable.

    Kitesurfing at Coconut Bay

This was our third trip to Coconut Bay resort and we are already planning our return. We came for the great kitesurfing, but a big part of the reason we keep returning is for the incredible staff. We spend a lot of time at the Surf Shack at the kitesurf launch. The staff there are a great group of people. Linus, Andre and Jeremy take care of all your needs on and off the water. The kite spot is a great set up for flat water, foil or surf. And pretty consistent wind so you can kite just about every day. See you all next year!
