Such a Lovely and Memorable Experience at Alexandra Resort!
Wow!! I am so sad to be leaving such a beautiful place. The resort was lovely and the beach was perfect. I love the size of the resort, nothing ever felt too crowded or busy. The service was impeccable and I am truly going to miss all of the staff. Some honorable mentions: the entertainment staff! Cheeky, Tash, Kimron, and Shaq were so friendly and remembered us throughout our whole trip. They really made our vacation a perfect one with so many activities day and night. Sylvie’s jerk chicken was talked about among so many people at the resort and it lived up to the hype! Judyann was such a friendly server at the Turquoise Grill and was such a treat to talk to. I can’t recommend this place enough! Had a good mix of honeymooners, families - small and large, and friend groups. The perfect all inclusive resort for anyone and everyone.

This is the best resort I’ve been to!
The staff is amazing. The entertainment staff encourages everyone to participate in activities and they made vacation so fun. Cheeky was a great host for the couples game show and Kimron was a great host for the battle of the genders game show. Tash and Kimron invited my sister and I to play a game with them on the beach and it was the perfect break from baking in the sun. Shaq was amazing on the steel drums. All of the entertainment staff made this resort beyond great! Wilkens, a bartender made me a drink that was complex and required a lot of instruction and he made it so amazing and it was my favorite drink I had all trip! Judy-Ann was a fantastic server at the turquoise grill and was so kind and got our food out quick! All in all, the staff is amazing at this resort and truly make it feel like it is your home away from home. The room was cleaned with new towels everyday and even when we accidently dragged sand in, it was gone by the time dinner came around. There are a lot of food options between the two sister resorts that you have access to and I was never disappointed with the food. The water was so clear and you could see your feet at the bottom. The sand was like powder and I never want to travel to anywhere else.

Two minutes!
Been to Grace Bay before, first time at Alexandra. It was nice, but also not newbie friendly. After spending 20 minutes "checking in", we were told check in didn't actually start until 3:00PM so we couldn't get our room and would need to do something for the hour plus until then. Fortunately Mustafah the bell man was there and he stored our luggage and took us on a quick golf cart tour showing us the resort over to the Black Rock where we were able to eat lunch while waiting. After eating and checking in we unpacked and put on our bathing suits... but couldn't find any info about beach towels in the welcome paper work. No "towel cards" like other resorts we have visited. Walked around the beach and pool areas for a while before asking another guest who told me they were available right next to the excursion desk... once I got there, there were zero towels, only lots of empty shelves. Excursion desk said I could get towels by the pool so I went there... only to find no towels there either. While I was looking for towels, my wife called to make dinner reservations... but... busy signal nonstop. I gave up the towels for the day and we tried to make dinner plans... but after nonstop busy signal, the phone suddenly went to ring with no answer. I called the front desk who said i should just "talk to her, don't call" But didn't say who "her" was or where. Turns out, the dinner reservationist was at the excursion desk... so back down there...only to find out the person who takes reservations had left for the day at 4PM instead of 5PM as advertised. (It was 4:40) So... it was wednesday so no buffet, only reservations at the restaurants. We ended up getting cleaned up and went to the Black Rock and asked if they could squeeze us in at some point... we were seated immediately! Thank you Alayla! Dinner at Black Rock was awesome. Next morning I made sure to be at the pool by 8:30 when the towels were due to be available... no towels at pool or beach sides again... fortunately I started talking to a different guest who said to wait, they would bring them. Towels showed up at 9:10AM. After this, towels were available every day early, not sure what happened the first two days. We also ate at the Fish Deck, buffet, Salt and Fire and Ice. Food was very good at all places, but the portions were absolutely TINY at Fire and Ice. I literally could have fit the entire portion of Grouper in my mouth at one time. nd the only side it came with was ratatouille. Housekeeping service was a bit different - they would clean the room and make the bed between 9Am and 10Am... but not leave clean towels... until around 4PM they would comeback with towels. Moving on to the good things... Grace Bay Beach, enough said! Peaceful and no one bugging you (Even though it seems this was a timeshare, no one forced us to take the "tour". Not super crowded or noisy, even during the nightly shows. MANY wonderful staff on the resort, including, but certainly not limited to: Ramon Young, my source for Kingston Negroni's! Farror the bartender down at the beach who knew your drink after your first order! I even met Executive Chef Olivier at the Caribbean Street Festival dinner on Saturday. Such a great pleasant person. Overall, a very nice stay, but could use a bit more/better 'orientation' type info for first timers. One thing we noticed was that almost everything takes "2 minutes"... from the taxi at the airport, to towels, to getting seated for lunch, it was 2 minutes (Island time)

Wonderful Stay
This resort is a gem. The pricing was comparable to a couple other resorts, but it was all inclusive. We stayed in a 1 bedroom non updated garden view room. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was better than I expected it would be. We stayed for 9 glorious and wonderful nights. It was rough returning home as I am missing my nieces and nephews, but I’m also missing the entertainment staff who ended up feeling like family (cheeky, tash, Shaq, kimron, and Barbie, and I’m sure I’m missing some). What will I do without Sylvie’s food at lunch?!? I have no complaints on food. Some things could be tweaked as far as availability, (and we didn’t know about the pasta station in black rock area for Sat night dinners until after dinner on our second Saturday), but I understand the staff is used at different stations/restaurants. The bartenders were top notch. Farrar (sp?) was great! She created a frozen lemonade for my husband. The pool bar bartender was also fantastic (and I hate I didn’t write down her name). Judy Ann was so kind at breakfast. I really appreciate the attention to detail. I saw one gentleman wiping down banisters every day. The greenhouse area with plants to make for seamless transition of plant replacement was impressive too. The grounds were well maintained. I’m sure there are “nicer” or more fancy resorts, but the size and feel of this one was perfect. What makes this resort great was the people!!!! We walked into the lobby, and we were greeted by name (likely because we were the last ones checking in that day, and we did get rum punch-though I did mention it, but I am not shy). I personally do not understand some of the negative reviews. We didn’t have that experience, but maybe I’m more willing to give people some grace and time to fix “issues.”

Great time!
Great experience and very friendly atmosphere. Entertainment was great, especially because of Cheeky! Would recommend for families who are looking for an all inclusive on the island due to price plus amenities. There are nicer resorts but way over budget compared to Alexandra.
