    Average hotel

    This was a last minute booking. Room was average. Food was okay, not great. Lots of rude people that have no buffet etiquette. Pools were good, lots of available chairs.

    Great Place

    Fifth trip staying in Punta Cana at The RIU Republica, always a great time. Food excellant, staff very kind and friendly. Grounds immaculate as always. Adults only atmosphere. Plenty of entertainment, Great pools, short walk to the beach area. Getting ready for net year!

    Could be better

    The beds in my room were damp at all times. The beds felt wet and smelled like mildew. The beds smelled as if they got soaked and never fully dried. The floors stayed wet and slippery. There was too much moisture in our room despite the air conditioner being on, even our items in the safe were moist. The buffet restaurant was OK. It could be better if they served different selections everyday. The sport bar serves the same dishes everyday and no good selections to choose from. There was a power outage in the buffet and we had to fix our plates in the dark or use the flashlights from our cellphones. The service could have been much better.

    Holiday

    Very pleasant holiday in Rio Republika. Friendly staff, excellent food, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and different types of meat. Great party, full of great dance music. Excellent drinks and a bar in the room with bottles of alcohol included. I can only recommend it, thank you for that.

    Clean grounds

    The entertainment was terrible. It was repetitive. The wait staff in the buffet area were very rude. The bar staff were great. They could have used additional staff to help though. The bugs were uncontrollable. Most of our party were bitten continously.

    3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:

    a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments

    b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.

    c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID

    d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.

    4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.

    5. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed from the property, at their own expense.

    6. Student / Spring Breaker Groups must comply with any protocols (hotel and government) in place at the time of stay at the hotel.
