Couldn’t be better
The flights, communications, transfers, hotel staff, parties, entertainment, food and hospitality. Everything was on point and had best time of my life. One of my favourite resorts. Beach was so clean. Will definitely visit again

Terrible
Hotel rooms were damp and smelly. Clothes and bedding were damp. Food was either cold or had flies on it. Never seen pools without a lifeguard and people drunk in them. I understand it’s a party hotel and believe you me anything goes. Pools open 24 hours a day and no one cared that guests were having sex in them, so don’t know when they were ever cleaned. Pool areas never cleaned during the day, cups and glasses etc sat there all day. Waiters were rude, ignorant and bone idle, and unless you speak Spanish pretend they dont know what you are asking for. TUI rep even said they do tend to ignore the English. They expect tips every time they bring you something, if you manage to get it!! Would not recommend this hotel and think it should be rated 1 star if any. Very disappointed with RIU and would never go back to the Dominican.

Avoid
If you want to be woken up at 7am every morning by the staff screeching outside your room or cutting the grass then this is the place for you. The majority of the entertainment staff don’t speak any language other than Spanish (or claim not to as we found out) so it is very disengaging. It is billed as a 5 star resort, but is a 3 star at best. The food is mediocre, entertainment not great unless you’re a 19 year old looking to party, facilities in room are shoddy and falling to bits. The bar staff to the left of the resort are excellent though by far the best part of the hotel. Don’t waste your money coming here!!

Not good
Was there end of august. Rude manager, front desk staff was horrible. Got food poisoning the last day was so bad had to go to the hotel doctor and was charged with a very high bill. Spent our last day and night sick in bed. Worste experience! Sent an email to customer service and not a reply to date.
