  Paradise at Dreams Macao Beach

  An excellent resort and amazing location - no seawead here as compared to many of the other properties further south in Punta Cana. The surf was a little rough at times. There is a constant pleasant breeze coming inland. As a mixed family with a wide age range, we were impressed by the resort setup, the facilities on offer and even after 11 nights were all disappointed to leave - certainly a good sign. Preferred Club partial ocean view - rooms were well appointed and clean. Excellent black out blinds and noise cancelling glazing. The variety of pool options were excellent with waterslides for all ages. The facilities such as teens club, gym and court sports were very enjoyable. The Spa is certainly worth a try - a variety of hydrotherapy features followed by a treatment. I think we would have struggled with our dietary requirements due to language issues but credit to Francisco Garcia (F&B) - overall he made things happen. Elio and Julio certainly tried their best at the buffet for breakfast and dinner even though communication was difficult. Also, Anderson certainly went beyond at the Preferred area beach Cabana - excellent, quiet and professional demeanor. Also worth a mention was the older gentleman at the Sport Office near the tennis courts - he trusted us to have the Tennis/Padel equipment the evening before so that we could play in the cooler mornings and then return them as he arrived at his office the next morning. Yanelys from concierge was very helpful in attempting to try different options for our meals - if things did not work out, it was not through her lack of effort (she was even in the Kitchen preparing our Pizzas). Generally the staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. Definitely well worth the 45 minute transfer north from Punta Cana airport. Give this resort a try - you won't be disappointed!

  STAY AWAY!

  DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I was attending a family wedding here and airline canceled my flight due to an emergency airport shutdown from a plane fire on runway! This occurred before my check in time and day. I promptly called Hotel to get this addressed and get refunded for my stay due to circumstances out of my control. The initial representatives I spoke with verbally reassured me that I would receive refund and to call again tomorrow morning to follow through with process. I called following day after just few hours sleep due to airport debacle and time difference from west coast to follow up as instructed and spoke to another agent who said no problem and will get process started with hotel. I heard nothing back and called again next day. Only to be told that no one ever made notes in my account and needed to start the process over. In summation the hotel did not do their due diligence to read into this situation and denied right away!! Meanwhile I have my family physically there at hotel celebrating the event and spending money at this establishment and there was still no Consideration given to my situation after being reassured multiple Times I would be getting a refund for a stay I DID NOT cancel on my own accord. I have tried calling the hotel, reservations and Hyatt at length. Only to be meet with more reassurance, transfers, dropped calls, deferred to other staff that lead to more dropped calls. I spent ALOT of personal time and racked up international phone bills to get this done as soon as the Airport Shut down 5 days ago! There is literal news articles of this happening, which I also sent to hotel!! This is outrageous. And I would not want any of my guests to experience this kind of customer service for any event or hotel Stay with this location. STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR Hard earned money! Such a hassle and clearly they don’t prioritize their customers or future guests.

  Wedding and family guess

  Best time ever. My second visit at this excellent Hotel. I can’t thank enough to my butler ERIBERTO , he went beyond to make our stay memorable. Entertaining, food were good although as a preferred club will would like to have the premium drinks at all bars available at all time the trip to the lounge it was very inconvenient to walk all the time for nice drink. Also, Management something to think about it’s the AC at the lobby and bathrooms. During the heat wave is very convenient to have fresh air for a little be. We loved it.

  Dreams Macao Beach - great vacation

  This resort was fabulous. I found the restaurants very good-excellent (Portofino, Japanese and Steak House). The buffet had a great selections. The resort was clean. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the 2 weddinds reception through our 5 days stay. The music was SOOOO lound. If you want to be in a quiet room. Please choose building 4 and 5. I had a preffered room in building 2 and all the weddings activities was right in from of my room. Coco café was juste amazing. Our butler Alejandro was very ressourcefull. The guy at the Adult Preffered pool was also very nice. Customer service was great. I will go back for sure. In the 5 days I was there the Night Shows was ordinary. You should add a SILENT DISCO, and the QUEEN SHOW should be once EVERY week. When you look at the resort from the beach. On the left side , they are building the new SECRET hotel. If you are on the beach on the left side you may here some noice, but not that much. The beach is so much quieter than in bavaro. No tens of boats, the pirate boat, banana boat etc.... but in Macao beach you to not have those noices, only the waves. Fabulous.

  Wedding paradise

  In name of the Burgos & Rodriguez’s wedding, We cannot thank Marcibel enough for all her incredible work on our wedding. Marcibel truly held everything together for us, especially as a mom with 2 younger kids it is very important to have extra hands and calm mind. She provided crucial emotional support and handled every single detail of the wedding day, ensuring it flowed perfectly. We had complete peace of mind thanks to her detailed timeline and support. The entertainment recommendations were fantastic, delightful drinks, excellent waiting staff and delicious food, the whole process was so much less stressful with her guidance. My entire family are amazed by all the attention and dedication. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more, and we would wholeheartedly recommend Marcibel and her team to anyone planning a wedding. Thank you again and all the best to you always.
