  A perfect holiday experience

  A really fabulous 5 star luxury experience- beautiful villas with plunge pool - a very gorgeous beach - and really friendly guests too - we made lots of friends - the food though is exceptional… lobster on tap - definitely fine dining - weather perfect - hot with only tiny bit of rain - a great time to go - also they service the most delicious food on the beach from BBq to oysters ! There’s games room, spa, private dining…

  Memories for a lifetime.

  Hammock Cove is a beautiful respite located on the eastern side of Antigua. We stayed in an ocean view villa with a view of the Atlantic Ocean. The sounds of the waves are intoxicating. The villa is breathtaking with a private plunge pool, a continuously stocked top shelf outside bar and a bathroom the size of a small studio apartment! And that’s just the villa. The dining is superb. Chef Marco and his culinary team prepare 7 course gourmet meals twice a week at The LIghthouse. The food did NOT disappoint. All courses are exceptionally prepared. Chef Marco offers fresh seafood (including OYSTERS) each day. The steaks and lobsters are incredibly prepared and ocean fresh. We stayed at Hammock Cove for 4 weeks. EVERY meal was exceptional. Every member of the CULINARY TEAM excels. Sir Robs is an exceptional gourmet steakhouse. Because of the length of our stay, we became very close with each culinary manager and associate. You know you’ve had an awesome getaway when members of the TEAM are hugging you when you leave because of the relationships that were built during our stay. Michael and I thank each and every person of this incredible team for putting up with (my) constant request (at Sir Robs) for shrimp cocktails with extra horseradish sauce, fresh oysters on the half shell and lobster tails with extra butter! Michael is a professionally trained chef. And, for him to give each and every person of the culinary team a 5 star is, well, unheard of! We would be remiss if we didn’t recognize the libation masters! Joel, you are the maestro of your cocktail orchestra. We so enjoyed being served and befriended by members of your team! It is a joy to order a cocktail and the barkeep genuinely smiles as he/she immediately begins preparation of a perfect Grey Goose Cosmopolitan. Each member has his/her own signature cocktail. A sincere thank you to all who welcomed us at the bars with smiling faces and an obvious desire to make sure your time with us was remarkable! We must also give thanks to the housekeeping associates who, with smiling faces, prepared our villa each day and evening. You all work so hard. Your efforts are very much appreciated. To the gentlemen who stock the top shelf bar, well you all ROCK! Thank you for keeping us stocked with Grey Goose, cranberry juice and fresh limes…and ICE! An amazing piece of the Hammock Cove offerings is the Calypso Cats who literally “run” the beach and pool, delivering Bob Marley cocktails and any cocktail you desire. Each member of this team is remarkable as they work in the heat, run drinks and food out to the beach rafts and sprint up and down stairs to ensure each guest interaction is a remarkable one. And for all of those who work behind the scenes: the dishwashers, the laundry men and women, the grounds keeps (especially Joseph), thank you for making this 4 week getaway so meaningful to us. Your hard work DID NOT go unnoticed.

  Honeymoon

  Excellent stay at Hammock cove We stayed for 11 nights on our honeymoon. The food was excellent Marco the chef is clearly an asset they have. Brilliant Chef. The rum bar was outstanding and he made some amazing cocktails for us. Joy at the Spa was unforgettable!! Amazing loved every minute I spent. Thanks The Ambassadors were polite quick and helpful The breakfast staff in particular Mark & Tasscia were 100% stand out. Please give them a raise before some other resort steals them. The beach guys were also excellent My only request- get some nibbles like crisps, nuts etc for the in room bar and sort out the road outside. We look forward to returning as you made it a truly unforgettable honeymoon- Thank you We also went horse riding & swimming with beautiful and well cared for horses Separate review but highly recommend SpringHill Antiqua Equestrian Centre - free transport when on honeymoon

  A week at Hammock Cove

  I can’t think of anything especially bad to say about Hammock Cove. The scenery was beautiful, the staff was amazing, the food at the Steak House and Light House was great, but my wife and I (we spent a full week at Hammock Cove ) will not be coming back. I do have some suggestions for management: o Put an ice machine or freezer in each room or make an ice machine available to guests (maybe in the hotel lobby or near the pickleball courts or fitness center). I could call for more ice every half hour each time our ice bucket melted, but I shouldn’t have to. It’s something I would expect a Holiday Inn. o Provide more than one kind of beer for the rooms. Maybe a couple of different brands, maybe a couple of light beer choices? There was every kind of high-end alcohol to choose from but only ONE type of beer? Bud Light, maybe? Coors Light, maybe? Corona, maybe? o Provide an option for cold drinks at the pool and beach BEFORE 10:30 am. Maybe open a (self-serve) bar? Leave a cooler of drinks? If I need a cold drink at the pool at 9:00 am, I have to hike back to my room to get it. Why? o Improve the food at the pool side restaurant. Not good. o Leave snacks in the rooms. If I’m at home and want a snack, I pull it out of my kitchen closet. At HC, I have to order room service and wait 20 minutes. Maybe I only want a small bag of pretzels? o Allow guests to communicate with the staff via an app on their personal phone (a lot of hotels have it). Carrying around an outdated phone isn’t quaint, it annoying. There were other issues (more than once we asked for our room to be cleaned while we were at the pool and it wasn’t, it took several days to convince the staff that all we wanted in our fridge was beer and diet coke, the patio puddled after the nightly rains) but you get the idea. These issues are all related to management decisions and are not a reflection of the hardworking staff at the resort. All of these issues could be easily resolved at very little cost.

  Perfect Luxury Vacation

  Hammock cove resort & spa was absolutely incredible from start to end! Our ambassadors Rondel & Jahson were always so friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. They made everything so easy for us. The food was absolutely incredible!! Chef Marco talent shines through in ever single dish he made. I loved how he came out and checked to make sure our meals were up to our standards…let me just say, every meal exceeded our standards every time!! Definitely try the demo with Chef Marco, it was such a unique experience watching, learning techniques and tips from a Michelin star chef. Not to mention, you get to eat the delicious food afterwards ! Try the 7 course meal at the lighthouse, you won’t be disappointed! Sir Robs steak house was delectable and highly recommend as well. Our villa was pristine all the time and our drinks were always stocked. The beach is so peaceful & beautiful and the bar/beach staff were magnificent. A special shout out to Ilaria for being so kind and making sure our drinks were always topped up at dinner. A special thank you to Samantha at front desk who was always so nice and willing to help us with anything we needed. I can’t say enough with how friendly and on point every staff member was, it made our trip so much more memorable.
