  beautiful grounds,restaurant food is hit & miss, little English spoke within restaurants and entertainment team

  We were there the last two weeks of August, our rooms at first glance appear worn but clean, TUI website said tea/coffee making facilities in the room but this wasn’t the case after complaining to reception and our rep we received them within 2-3 days, although we had received the machine the coffee wasn’t always replenished so had to walk to the pizzeria which was the only place to get coffee before 7 ( on one occasion I was told NO when asking for coffee here, then the guy just turned his back) The mini fridge has two bottles of soda and 1 water when arriving, never to be replenished. For the most part very little of the staff in the restaurants understood or spoke English, there were a few exceptions and I wish I had taken there names to give them credit as if it wasn’t for them the holiday would have been a lot worse. The entertainment team mostly spoke Spanish, Italian and French and even when telling them my granddaughter only spoke English the lady in the evening kids entertainment completely ignored English so we didn’t take her again. The gardens are kept really well and the hotel in general is spotless, the beach and sea are beautiful I’ll end on a good note. Last of all I have to praise the TUI rep JAY, he is amazing and TUI are lucky to have such a guy.

  Wonderful 10 nights spent at the Viva Dominicus Palace hotel. Eat, drink, sleep, party and repeat. So much to do we needed long

  Amazing beach, wonderful gardens and lots to do even for a family of six whose ages ranged from 4 to 74. Yes the rooms were dated but I didn't find any dust and the beds were very comfortable. Plus so little time was spent in the rooms I found them adequate. Kids couldn't wait to splash in the pool or play in the sand at the beach meaning we adults could relax with a cocktail. Even the picky eaters in my group found a dish to their liking at the breakfast, lunch or dinner buffets. It was a great opportunity to sample local dishes on themed nights. Recommend that you book early for a la carte restaurants. The resort complex is huge with so much to do. We didn't fit it all in. Note to self 10 nights is not enough. I commend the staff on what we thought was a slick operation keeping things clean and ticking over with that many people visiting takes planning and practice. No, it wasn't perfect, but I 'd have to nit pick to find something to complain about. Special mention to Julio our evening waiter never without a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely guy. Also, Nordine who prides himself on remembering your name and making you feel at home. The Palace is the quieter of the sister hotels The Beach. Glad we stayed at the Palace as The Beach was party central where things don't settle down until well after midnight. All White nights, Foam Parties etc, my 13 year old was in heaven. It was my first time to Dominican Republic, and it has created some lasting memories.

  We had a great time. Monkeyland was fun. We were here to play baseball and had an amazing experience. We definitely back

  Amazing service! The people are all so kind and very helpful. The staff was so welcoming and helpful and very fun to visit with. We loved learning about the country.

  Beautiful vacation in a paradise

  Amazing location at the sea, beautiful turquoise crystal clear water with a lot fish amazing for snorkeling. A lot of sport activities ( bodyblades, aquagym, games and different kind of dances, free lessons tennis, water activities- kayaking, catamaran, etc. Breathtaking night shows with excellent dancers and acrobats. Nice accommodation and plenty of restaurants with tasty food. I can only recommend and for sure I will come back soon. Thanks for all staff for an amazing experience.

  Unsafe and rude employees

  Had a negative experience. My room is in the first floor (with access to the garden) and the window was stuck with a slot open. At 3 am an employee opened the window by this slot, opened the curtains and shouted three times "cerre la puerta". It was a really rude and unprofessional way to conduct the situation. I went to the front desk and the employee wasn't able to inform me about the conduct because it was the night shift and told me that guests could leave their windondow open through the night. The hotel should post warnings advising that is unsafe to leave the windows open and train better the staff in how to orient the guests about safety.
