Wonderful experience - already booked for same week in 2026!
We went for a trade through Interval International and am I ever glad we did! This place was top notch start to finish for every amenity and service and experience we could ever imagine! We had a 2 BR unit in Building 3 on a high floor with an ocean view. Actually, the way the property is built, every unit has some kind of ocean view, whether it is partial, ocean view, or ocean front. The unit we had was also a renovated unit, so that was special too. You get charged for daily maid service every day, so we took advantage of that. And we also like that there is a 15 percent tip already added into all food and beverage purchases. If you want to tip more for the maid service or food and beverages, then it's up to you, but the service starts out exceptional from the beginning. We were welcomed by Stephanie at the front desk who was very nice and then the front desk manager Patricia also welcomed us. We were then seated with Julissa, a concierge, who signed us up for a sales presentation which we accepted b/c it came with some nice gifts just for attending the presentation. Julissa was not overly aggressive or pushy and she worked hard for us in terms of the gifts she gave us. We attended the presentation with a sales guy named Jorge, and he was put out somewhat when we didn't purchase anything, but it was still worth it b/c we were able to say no without too much hassle. We are already timeshare owners and so we know the drill of how this all goes. Being new to the resort we didn't mind, and then we had the rest of the week to enjoy the gifts Julissa gave us which we enjoyed throughout the week. For a couple of hours on our first full day, we didn't mind taking the time. We ate at all of the on property restaurants and enjoyed every meal. We liked La Trattoria which is beachfront and we got great sunset photos from there as we enjoyed a delicious Italian dinner. We had lunch tacos at Tomatillo's and they were delicious and we also ate there for dinner and it was equally good. We went to the Japanese place on property and it was delicious and we had lunch at El Patron and it was tasty as well. We visited the on property convenience store for some bottled water early in our trip. They actually had a decent selection of souvenirs and other items though the only thing we purchased this time was the water. We rented a car and really appreciated the underground indoor parking garage. We found the La Comer grocery store easily and it's a five minute ride away and a very nice grocery store, easy to navigate. We are not alcohol drinkers and not all day eaters, so we never go for all inclusive b/c it isn't worth the money for us. We enjoy having breakfast and snacks and lunch in the unit and we loved sitting on the balcony all day long. We appreciated there was decent television reception and lots of shows in English on nights when we stayed in and just wanted to relax. On several evenings there was entertainment going on in the pool area with loud music and dancers and we would lean over our balcony and watch for a while. The way the resort is built, all of the noise reverberates and echoes throughout the property, but we appreciated this resort is not a super 'all about the kids' kind of place, but rather the crowd is more adults , and on the more mature end such as ourselves, as we are in our mid sixties. We appreciated seeing most people are our vintage, and we appreciated a lot of the entertainment provided was geared toward our population. We appreciated the live music at the pool on Sunday afternoon and we appreciated the entertainment staff's hard work all day long with activities in and around the pool area as well as the evening entertainment shows. We also appreciated on a couple of evenings it was quiet in the pool area. We also loved that the ocean and beach areas are there as well, with lots of lounge chairs provided all around the pool and on the beach, easy access to everything. I visited the fitness center a few times and it was clean and well kept, with some treadmills and elliptical machines as well as free weights and weight machines. We went into Bucerias one afternoon and the bell person called a cab for us and the cab was there instantly. There is also a sign next to the bell stand with taxi prices for various trips in pesos and US dollars. There is also a money change place on property in case you need pesos for anything, but so many places take US dollars. We used the spa services on property and that was a lovely experience as well. Daniela was my massage therapist, and she was very nice and gave me a good Swedish massage. My husband's massage therapist was Maggie, I thinkg. Kati was the womens' locker room attendant and she worked hard as well. The locker rooms have hydrotherapy and it's included with a spa service so you get sauna, steam, jacuzzi, lounge chairs and robes and slippers and it's a typical spa experience, relaxing and comfortable and a nice added feature. Everything at the spa was clean and well maintained. I would say the service at all of the restaurants was very good, except for El Patron, where the one server we had didn't seem as polished as all of the rest, which made it noticeable. It was a young man whose name I didn't catch, but that was the only mediocre experience we had with service the whole week. We were so impressed with the property we have already booked a return through Interval International for the same week in 2026. Muchas gracias, Villa del Palmar Flamingos, we are already looking forward to our next visit with you!

Home away from home
We had an amazing time here. From the member social, the mixology class , cooking class, and not to forget the Tequila tasting class! Hugo, Iris, the head bar tenders and not to forget the activies center, Bri, Michelle, Gabby all there for our enjoyment. Reggie, always there to get you an umbrella or to help you find a lounger. Excellent staff also at the front lobby with Stephanie who made arrangements for our room, exactly what we needed. Not to forget our house keeper! She was always attentive to our needs. I can not remember her name.... (room # 3308B) All the waiters go beyond the call of duty to ensure that everyone is happy with the right drink. That takes a lot of coordination! And they do it with a smile! Way to go, to all the staff that we came across. You all really helped us have a great month long vacation. We can not wait to come back in 5 months to finish our winter vacation. Thank you so very much!
