Great family vacation experience!!
I loved our experience at this resort! Everywhere you go staff is saying hello and always available to answer questions. Everything was extremely clean- no trash on the ground anywhere. The beach entrance is great too! Even the vendors on the beach were friendly and respectful. As we got ready to leave, Luis and Armando up at the bell desk held our luggage while we waited an hour for our shuttle to pick us up.

Cabo!
The 5 star review is mainly due to the service, Nayeli at the pool, The bell hop boys had great service and were very fast. Jonathan at the buffet/ show dinners was very nice respectful, remembered our names after first night and gave us a seat for 2 (instead of sharing) for one of the 3 shows we went too so that was nice and appreciated. Nayeli remembered our names from day 1 and made sure everything we wanted was taken care of. Nayeli also remembered my girlfriend’s specific drink she likes after the first time so that was nice. She is very good at her job and was extremely welcoming and friendly. We made sure to go to her side of the pool everyday we really enjoyed her service. The service in general here is pretty good as most of our requests and questions were met and answered.Room service food is really good. We enjoyed the shows they have for the guests Lion King was very good specifically. As far as noise that is the one issue as there is what sounds like renovations going on on the 6th floor above our room 2511 because for 3 nights straight we have heard very loud grinding (chairs moving and bed moving for at least 2 hours of the night and that has kept us up throughout the night. I say renovations because if guests are making that much noise at 11-12 at night then that is a problem so I’m hoping it is renovation or remodel of a room that is causing the noise. We still have 2 nights at the time of writing this so hopefully there’s not too much tonight. Didn’t need to use the wifi too much but I would say that the free one is not great either as it always cuts out and disconnects in spots it should be working in. You would think with the amount most people spend and how far they travel that WiFi would be pretty good here in order to stay in touch with family, friends work etc but having to pay more for WiFi is a little annoying. Our stay ultimately has been good, the food I would not say is incredible but is good. Room service and Tomatillos food is exceptional! The 5 stars is mainly due to Nayeli as I do feel she went above and beyond to make sure that when we were at the pool everything we wanted was taken care of. She really made our stay better and we enjoyed talking to her. Thank you Nayeli. I would definitely comeback, Cabo San Lucas is a beautiful city and the people we have met are all nice respectful and definitely hardworking. Thank you.

Exceptional Vacation!
Villa del Palmar is my favorite place to stay in Cabo San Lucas. The variety of restaurants, activities (for entire family), the amenities, rooms, location (on the beach and near town), and all the staff truly make for an incredible vacation. The Activities Team (Alana, Albert, Chloe, Chuy, Francesca, Gaytan, Jeremy, Laura, Mauricio, and Michelle) create so many smiles with all the things they do and the shows they perform with tremendous talent. They truly enhance my visits. The Valet Team of Armando, Dagoberto, Efram, Eliel, and the rest, were extremely helpful. The concierges Araceli and Lili made my stay so easy. Poolside, Alberto, Antonio, and Paola, always ensured everything was perfect. And I can't review the resort with mentioning the food service teams, of which some members went above and beyond expectations. At the breakfast buffet there was Ana, Ester, Gabriela, and Luis who all sang happy birthday to my guest. At Neptune, Eddy, Manuel, and Sammuel were terrific. At the Taco Bar and Carbon grill (my favorite place to eat), Arturo, Pedro, and Salvadore made for fun dining experiences. And many thanks go to the wonderful people Iracena, Jonathan, Mildreth, Misael, and Rodrigo (thanks to all for the wine recommendations!) at the Dinner Buffet/ Theme Nights. I've stayed in other nice places in Cabo, but the hard-working and fun people at Villa del Palmar are what bring me back.

Do not recommend staying here.
When I booked in July, the reviews were great — clearly things have gone extremely downhill in just a few months. I was told we could use the sister resort, which is not true. You cannot use their amenities or restaurants. I also knew the resort had been closed for construction in August, and I called multiple times to confirm everything was finished. I was assured it was. That was completely inaccurate. The entire place is still under construction. Our patio was completely torn up, and workers were right outside every day, so we couldn’t open the blinds or use the patio at all. Half the resort is blocked off, elevators are closed, and getting anywhere is a maze. Our view was gone because of construction walls. They start setting up at 6 AM, which is loud and woke my kids up daily. I always prepare ahead, especially for dining, and I asked about the restaurant that requires reservations. They told me to book when we arrived. When we tried, everything was already full and we were told you have to call months in advance. This leaves only three dining options for the all-inclusive, with long lines every day. Just the breakfast line took over a hour and then to get a omelette was another 40 minutes. Transportation from the airport took forever, the front desk was rude and extremely slow, and the WiFi doesn’t work at all. The TV is only in Spanish, so if you have young kids and want to watch a movie, it’s not an option. We also did not have hot water. Even though there are a lot of families, I wouldn’t call this kid-friendly — there isn’t much for kids to do. The ocean is only swimmable if you’re a very strong swimmer. The on-site store is extremely expensive (a yogurt was $8). To get a beach or pool chair, you have to go down at 7 AM to reserve one. Hours for the gym and pool are 8 AM, not 6 AM like the website states. Another note is that the spa is in a different hotel that you can take a trolly too but we weren’t comfortable leaving our kids to get a massage and driving to another hotel. I would say the staff is friendly and very helpful. I wish I knew all of this beforehand. As many reviews say, the website is very deceiving. I would not stay here again.
