    Butler service from Manuel and Cali was outstanding. Food was excellent. Concierge not helpful. Butlers saved the day.

    Butlers were awesome and took care of everything when the concierge was not helpful. Manuel and Cali did fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone.

    What a great holiday!!

    This was our second trip to Ventus. Such a beautiful ace to holiday. We had a front walk out room to pool and ocean view. Our two butler's were ARE and Manuel. We had every need taken care of. Dinner reservations, pillow choices brought in, drinks added to fridge, and snacks included. Every thing we needed they were there with a smile. Such fantastic representation of the resort. We will always come back and ask for these two gentlemen now. Great food, great people, we could walk around with ease, and when tired, we used our app to one of our friends to puck us up or we flagged a cart going by. Taco night was great fun. We loved the hot tubs. Only thing that can be improved is ,please add more water to tubs. We can't wait till next year. Thanks Ventus, thanks Are and Manuel.

    Bravo to El Cid staff at Puerto Morelos

    Always a great time at El Cid, Puerto Morelos! Great food and drinks, good weather and good friends, but the best part is the staff. Shout out to our butlers, Luis, Noah and Hugo, and our beach concierge, Tomás, as well as Platinum club concierge, Irving. They were always willing to help out with dinner reservations and booking beach chairs in the Platinum Area, rides to the restaurants, moving luggage to and from our rooms, and checking in regularly to make sure our stay was 5 ⭐️ . We love and appreciate their warm personalities and friendships, and their joyful nature. They all deserve raises!! Bravo, mes amis. We miss you, my friends. Come visit us in Canada. 🇨🇦 Marlene and Kathleen, Bennett and Lisa 🥰

    Nice enough family resort, deceptive business practices.

    The hotel has very shady practices. First, anything you charge on the property on your credit card must be charged in pesos, not dollars, and they use an arbitrary exchange rate which is 14% higher than the actual rate. So, due to hotel policy, you’re going to be paying a 14% up charge unless you pay in cash. Second, they charge you for WiFi *by the device,* and if you don’t pay it you can’t get online because they jam the cell signal. The WiFi that you’re paying $12 per day per device doesn’t work very well. For these reasons I would never come back here. We go to Mexico often and have never run into anything like this. There are plenty of other options in the immediate area. The pools are nice, the food is fine, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, but the hotel itself is corrupt. Don’t go here unless you can make sure to pay thru Expedia prior to arriving and do NOT book any additional charges like platinum club upgrades, spa treatments etc. because they are ripping you off.

    Never felt so taken care of!

    There are vacations and then there are El CID with Are, Omar, and Orlando. They take care of everything. Bags were in our room so quickly. They had already made dinner reservations for the first night and for the rest of the week once they checked our preferences. They checked in every morning to find out if we needed anything. They were efficient, kind, and understanding with any situation that came up. The only negative thing I can think of is we couldn’t stay longer. Next time!
