    Declining Marriott Property

    I have stayed at this resort 5 times over the last 18 months. This has been my favorite go to property to escape the cold New England weather. Apparently there is new management and service is declining unfortunately. I am a Bonvoy elite gold member and I leverage this membership for frequent visits. Unfortunately, on our most recent stay, we did not receive the automatic room upgrade upon arrival (Bonvoy perk) but were promised this on night two by 4pm (south tower high floor in attached image section 4 circled by Ritz employee). When it was time to upgrade our room on day 2, they offered us a room that wasn’t what was promised at check in and charged us more to get a room on this side of the property that wasn’t facing construction at the next door Marriott. I am extremely disappointed by this experience.

    Service is beyond exceptional

    Came back to celebrate our 33 anniversary. Our first trip back since our honeymoon. The Ritz did not disappoint. From the moment you arrive you are special. We had our first dinner at the sushi bar in the lounge. Thoroughly enjoyed. Last morning we had the breakfast buffet in the Solanio restaurant. Again service and selection was great. We spent the week relaxing in beach chairs with incredible natural & umbrella shade. The location is perfect. Far enough down the beach to be quiet however close enough to walk back from dinner on the path. Morning walks on the sidewalk all the way to the lighthouse is possible and gorgeous views. A few mentions that truly created one of the best trips we have had. First “Buzz” who we met the moment we arrived. Provided great service, restaurant recommendations and one of the nicest people you will meet. Daniel at the towel hut helped us maneuver how to go about getting beach chairs. Finally Dillon! If you have a chance to meet him you should. He provided us with exceptional service and was a joy to spend time just talking too, even coordinated a special lunch with the chef at Madeira for me. Truly a gift to the Ritz. We could not have picked a better place to celebrate our return to Aruba. It won’t take us 33 years to return!

    Don’t come for a special occasion

    Was our first day of honeymoon and we were up charged left and right, additionally didn’t receive one congratulations, I don’t believe they check the booking notes. Extremely disappointed and heartbroken at how in-special I feel.

    Another Perfect Trip

    My husband and I had perfect week with our daughter, son in law and grandson in the concierge floor. Prior to our visit, concierge Sergio helped get us set up for the baby and Christian helped with dinner reservations. Once in the lounge, Rico, Agnes, Arelys, Rose, Brian and Zion treated us like family and my grandson as one of their own. 2 special shoutouts for this visit…..Bibiana who took care of rooms 7214 and 7215 and Gladys who brought me curated lunches. Both went above and beyond and need to be acknowledged. Thank you for another fabulous vacation. We will see you again soon!
