My 50th birthday staycation at St. James Club hotel and Villas

I enjoyed my 50th Birthday at St. James Club hotel and Villas. The room i stayed was excellent. I had a great view from my balcony of the beach and the sea. I enjoyed all the amenities as a guest which included food, coffee from the coffee shop off the receptionist desk, and drinks from restaurants and the bars on the property. I like the fact that the hotel is all inclusive. The hotel went all out to help celebrate my birthday. The hotel gave me cakes and treats and even a bottle of white wine. A special thanks to the staff who were so gracious and courteous to me. Would I do a staycation at this hotel again. Yes I definitely would.

Deeply Disappointed – Misrepresented Stay at St. James’s Club Antigua

I stayed at St. James’s Club Antigua from August 28 to September 2, 2025, booked through Elite Island Vacations. Unfortunately, the experience did not reflect the quality or conditions advertised on either company’s website. Major issues included: – The room and property were in noticeably poor condition, with mold-like areas near the screen door and a bathroom that was never properly cleaned. – Despite multiple requests, no additional bedding was ever provided. – A reserved dinner at Piccolo Mondo was delayed nearly three hours beyond the scheduled time. – The pool appeared dirty and unmaintained. – On the final night, food was left uncovered in the heat, leading to a case of food poisoning that ruined my rest and made travel home extremely difficult. – Roaches were seen in my room, and friends staying on the third floor had the same experience. – At Rainbow Garden, where breakfast was served, birds freely flew inside, landing on guests’ plates and even one guest’s hair. While the staff was polite, these conditions reflect serious lapses in cleanliness, food safety, and overall maintenance. This stay was grossly misrepresented compared to what was promoted online and through Elite Island Vacations’ marketing. Travelers deserve transparency and basic health standards, and I hope this review helps others make informed decisions before booking.

    Fabulous Stay Once Again

Wonderful stay at St James again after a few years, welcoming reception staff Dejani was fantastic as was all others at reception. Resort was quiet which we loved and still had a great variety of food to offer. We had a complimentary room upgrade half way through our stay which was fantastic. We just wanted to thankyou for our fabulous stay at your wonderful resort, Kim loved your hobie cats and your sailing staff, drinks were exceptional, especially at the pool bars, great knowledge and always happy and professional. Rooms super clean and having a coffee shop was great with snacks and pastries to choose from. Great gift shop on site, which kindly re-opened for us so I could buy something, a massive thankyou from Harriet and Kim, we will return ! I loved all the food, breakfast was amazing, so much variety with a dedicated chef for all your needs for eggs, especially the freshly made hollandaise very day. Lunch and dinner, always great choice and variety.
