Colleague’s Destination Wedding plus our ten year anniversary
Wow. What an amazing experience. From the moment my wife and I arrived from the golf cart driver to the front desk and the entire team. They were ever enthusiastic and friendly people. Really appreciate the hospitality, the scene, food and the vibe was on point. I’m very happy and thankful for their service and professionalism. Can’t wait to come back.

Had higher expectations…bed is hard as a rock!
This is our first time in St. Martin. We heard how nice everyone is here- not the case. We have visited many, many resorts around the world and St. Martin natives are curt, rude, and aggressive. Beware if you rent a car. You’ll be honked at incessantly and ran off the road if you hesitate. We arrived at Sonesta and there are two sides. We were staying on the adults only side- ocean point. It’s not marked clearly and we went into the lobby. After waiting in line we were greeted by a very rude employee who told us we’re in the wrong place. How were we supposed to know? The biggest issue we’re experiencing is the bed. It’s noon and we’re spending the morning in bed because our backs are toast from this hard bed. I can barely move. It’s like laying on a board! It’s terrible and I can’t imagine a high end resort like Ocean Point not investing in comfortable beds. One more thing worth mentioning is we had a water side massage at serenity spa and while my masseuse was great, my husband had a one handed massage because his masseuse was on her phone! For a $300 massage, we didn’t expect that. I have to shout out Janile (spelling?). She is a waitress at azule restaurant. She’s amazing!

Nice location
The resort was very nice. The staff was really nice throughout the resort. The food was good. The location was great, we were in an area we were able to walk around to different stuff. The view of the ocean was beautiful.

Incredibly disappointing
This resort does not live up to its 5-star claim. Customer service was lackluster at best. The staff were unfriendly, lackadaisical, not willing to accommodate our group of 31 and just generally unpleasant. The food was lukewarm less the omelet and lamb chops. The only 2 that I experienced great service from were Dominique at Portafino and Smiley Johnny who brought my room service order. The staff didn't want to join tables for a party of 5. They didn't want to accommodate our music requests at Cloud 9. My room had a smell to it that I could not get rid of. The towels and robes were hard and rough opposed to plush and soft. I do not recommend this resort at all.

This is not an elevated experience
This resort was well below my expectations. I found it to be old and outdated with no modern accommodations. The staff was all incredibly rude. There was an issue with another guest lost phone that was discovered by my nanny and my son. She kept the phone hoping the guest would call it so that she could return it instead of taking it to the front desk and risking the guest never seeing their phone again. While I was off of the property the guest services reviewed security footage to discover who had the phone. He approached my nanny in her room and threatened to have her pack her bags and leave the property immediately as “stealing” was against resort policy. Luckily my mom was in a room a couple of doors down and heard the commotion. She let him know that she was not in fact stealing the found, that it had been found and she was holding it to return to the guest once they called it. My nanny was left in tears and he nor the resort management offered even an apology. Completely unacceptable. The dining options are also limited. There is not room service or late dining options. They also do not offer day passes to the adult only side of the resort. Across the location i had 4 rooms reserved. 3 on the family side and 1 on the adult only side. . If you are looking for a place to relax with an elevated experience this is not it. They seem to be unaware that the reason they are in hospitality is to be hospitable. But for tourist traveling to places like this they would not have employment. I definitely give it a 0 star.
