Family Vacation at Punta Cana
We had such a wonderful experience at Grand Serenis Punta Cana. The highlight for us was definitely the water park — the baby pool was perfect for my 1-year-old and made our stay so much easier and more enjoyable. The beach was beautiful, clean, and relaxing, and the overall ambiance of the resort was exactly what we needed for a peaceful family vacation. A special shoutout to Nancy from the Kids Club — she was such a great vibe and made our interactions feel warm and memorable. We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be back!

Amazing hotel
Was worried when i saw some of the reviews but when we arrived i was confused as the bad reviews didn't make sense as from the minute we arrived to the minute we left we had an amazing time...the staff were friendly and always smiling...the amount of bars and restaurants was unreal...we didn't walk of the plane we rolled off..😁 the amount of cocktails and drink options was fantastic...the beach bar the two pool bars the lobby..etc etc all the staff were helpful and nothing was too much bother for them. It's my 2nd stay at a sirenis resort and it won't be my last. We went as a family of 6 4 adults 2 teenagers..the site is secure and our teenagers did there own thing most of the time which included a lot of time in pizza shop and at beach grill or water park. Everything is kept spotlessly clean the grounds are stunning and are constantly being worked on..get a fresh off the tree coconut mm lovely. The rooms are really nice though they do have a slight smell of damp but don't believe the staff can do anything about that as it's very humid and our cossie wouldn't even dry out side. The rooms are spacious and clean and the tv has a great selection of English speaking channels including one with movies that haven't come out in uk much to my grandsons joy. The coffee shop does great coffees and pastries and the ice creams are lush. All in all the grand sirensis punta cana was fantastic

A Masterclass in How Not to Run a Hotel
A Professional Critique of an Experience That Deteriorated from Day 1 to Day 5 My stay at this hotel has been nothing short of an escalating catalogue of operational failures. What should have been a smooth, well-managed resort experience quickly revealed itself to be an exercise in disorganization, indifference, and unmet promises. Below is a factual timeline of my stay — each day offering yet another demonstration of this property’s systemic mismanagement. Day 1 — Check-In: Disorganization on Full Display The problems surfaced immediately upon arrival. Although the hotel was fully aware of our check-in time, they had no beach towel cards available. We were told to “come back tomorrow at 11 AM,” as though basic readiness was optional. Our room, astonishingly, was missing both an iron and an ironing board. Over the next several days, I made three calls to the operator and front desk, and even escalated the issue to both a supervisor and a manager. Not one of them managed to send the missing items. Ultimately, I had to borrow an iron and board from another guest’s room — a level of negligence that speaks for itself. The only positive interaction that day came from the housekeeping team, who were polite, proactive, and far more competent than the management they work under. Day 2 — The Towel Card Circus Continues Following their instructions, we returned to reception at 11 AM to pick up the towel cards. What should have taken seconds devolved into yet another display of inefficiency: we were given only three cards for a group of eight. Only after questioning the situation did a helpful staff member at the desk provide the remaining five. Her assistance was appreciated, but the underlying system is obviously chaotic and poorly supervised. Days 1–5 — The Water Sports “Amenity”: Misleading and Mismanaged For five consecutive days, we attempted to use the complimentary kayaking and water sports the hotel advertises extensively. Instead, we were met with excuses, delays, and empty assurances. On day 5, it finally became clear why nothing was ever available: the hotel has outsourced water sports to a third-party vendor whose primary objective is to upsell paid excursions, not honor the complimentary activities that guests are promised. This model is misleading at best and deceptive at worst. I escalated the issue to the front desk supervisor, Esteban, who repeatedly claimed he would resolve it. Five days later, nothing has changed. Days 1–5 — Reception and Room Service: A Complete Breakdown Despite advertising 24/7 reception and room service available until 11 PM, both effectively shut down by 9 PM. Calling “0,” reception, or room service after that time is pointless — the phone rings endlessly, unanswered. On the one rare evening room service did pick up (around 8:30 PM), I requested something extremely basic: a glass of warm milk. They refused and told me to get it from the bar. This is not room service — it is the opposite of service. Daily — Beach Conditions: Neglected and Unpleasant For a beachfront resort charging premium rates, the lack of beach maintenance is unacceptable. Every morning, the shoreline is covered in weeds, and the hotel makes no visible effort to clean or maintain it. By comparison, resorts such as Barceló Bávaro and RIU perform routine morning beach cleaning — a basic standard this property fails entirely to meet. Entering the water here feels more like wading through debris than enjoying the ocean. Dining — Inconsistencies, Shortages, and Understaffing At the French restaurant, vegetarian dishes are clearly listed on the printed menu. Yet at the 9 PM seating, we were informed that all vegetarian options were sold out. A restaurant running out of its own menu items before the final seating is a glaring operational flaw. The dining experience also suffers from chronic understaffing. While the restaurant staff are genuinely friendly and work extremely hard, they are far too few for a resort of this size. This results in long waits, slow table turnover, and an overall sense that the team is stretched beyond capacity. Their effort is commendable; the hotel’s staffing strategy is not. On the positive side, the reception bar and the two main buffets are well-run, and the staff there are pleasant and attentive. However, the vegetarian buffet selections are limited, repetitive, and significantly inferior to what comparable resorts (such as Barceló Bávaro and RIU in Punta Cana) consistently offer. The Only Functional Aspect: Internet Credit is due where deserved: the Wi-Fi is excellent. Fast, stable, and available throughout the property. Ironically, the internet is the only thing in this resort that operates reliably. Final Verdict Across five days, the hotel has repeatedly failed in nearly every dimension of hospitality: Communication Reliability Guest service Cleanliness Basic preparation Adequate staffing Amenity fulfillment Operational follow-through The gulf between what this property advertises and what it delivers is astonishing. If you value professionalism, honesty, basic competence, or even the minimum standards of hospitality, stay elsewhere. This hotel has clearly stopped trying — and it shows at every step of the guest experience.
