    Lack entertainment

    Nice resort but not much entertainment. Staff is very friendly. I would go again. Do your research on excursion rates, Amstar will put heavy markups on everything.

    Trip Review: Secrets/Dreams Resort Stay

    🌴 Trip Review: Secrets/Dreams Resort Stay Traveling the first week of December for our anniversary, this resort was the perfect blend of convenience and escape for us (55/60-yr old's). It’s only about 15 minutes from the airport and another 15 minutes to downtown, yet once you pass through the Secrets/Dreams gates, you feel completely tucked away in your own paradise despite being in the business section of town. 🏖️ Atmosphere & Amenities - Gorgeous sunsets every evening. - Friendly, attentive staff who made us feel welcome throughout our stay. - Multiple pools, hot tubs, and a beautiful beach to enjoy. - A full agenda of daily activities to keep you entertained. 🍴 Food & Drinks The food was consistently tasty, with daily specials that kept things fresh. You could go as healthy—or indulgent—as you wanted. Highly recommend trying the skinny margaritas! Note: Most of the dinner locations were located on the Dreams side. However, because it wasn’t a holiday or school break, there were very few kids, which made the atmosphere especially peaceful. (We only have fur-babies) 🎉 Excursions We ventured off-site for three excursions: - Rhythm of the Night: A magical evening with excellent dinner and entertainment. Tip: sign up early, it fills quickly! Includes a boat ride - they too were great on hospitality and entertainment! - City Tour: Often complimentary or reduced price. Informative, with a nice tequila tasting, but it’s a full-day commitment (9–5). - Tequila & Coffee Farm: About 1.5 hours outside of town. The tequila was phenomenal, and the mountain scenery was stunning. Be prepared for a long day—we didn’t return until after 6pm, partly due to holiday traffic. I would suggest staggering the excursions with beach time! ✨ Overall Experience All in all, this was a fantastic trip. The resort offered the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, and we met some wonderful fellow travelers along the way.

    It was fun enough, just don't expect luxury. Food was better at buffet than restaurants. Big pools , hard to find shade. Probably will come back

    Perfect Property Perfect Vacation

    Just returned from an outstanding trip to Secrets Vallarta Bay. In full disclosure we are UVC members and have stayed at the hotel before (2017). The property is absolutely gorgeous and within walking distance to great neighborhoods in Puerto Vallarta. Our room was great with an outstanding view; the hotel amenities were perfect. The food and beverage options were outstanding!! The beach is magnificent and the pools are plentiful. We encountered some great staff while on vacation. Jenna was a UVC representative in the lobby and helped often with her professional and courteous demeanor and outstanding customer service. She was always willing to point us in the right direction. I don't think she took any days off! She was always in the lobby helping us and others. We had delicious food and two restaurants were outstanding. We ate at Bordeaux and Manuel was our server. Some of the best service we have ever had anywhere. Also we ate at Tamarindo, our service was Ignacio who was great, Edgar made table side guacomole and the restaurant was decorated beautiful for Christmas. We were on the ocean every day! The beach is amazing. Edgar and Alejandro took care of our beverage needs with the highest level of friendliness and customer service! I highly recommend the hotel and look forward to getting back there soon!
