We really like this resort the staff are amazing there and the food is absolutely delicious. Our only complaint is that the resort desperately needs updated. We have been going there for 13 years and nothing has changed. It’s time for an update. Our Butler, Jose Becerra was the best.

Enjoyable Fall Break at Secrets Vallarta Bay
The experienced staff at Secrets Vallarta Bay was wonderful! We especially enjoyed interacting with Miriam at UVC, Francisco at Capers, and Wendy and Adrian at the Market Cafe! The evening entertainment was lacking, but we really enjoyed the spa! The food overall was good, but not the best we have had at a Secrets resort. For an older resort, our room was nice and spacious. The beach was pretty and easily walkable.

Oct 27, 2025Secrets Vallarta Bay lacks loyalty recognition
Our stay had several challenges that affected our experience. The elevators were frequently out of service, making it inconvenient to access our room on the 14th floor, especially when the hotel was full. Due to my husband’s knee problems, we requested a room change. I want to thank Pablo for his kind and helpful assistance in moving us to a Preferred room. However, we were charged an extra fee to upgrade to a suite — there was no complimentary suite upgrade. As Black Impressions and Globalist members, this is the first resort where our loyalty status was not recognized or honored, which was disappointing. Additionally, the pools were visibly dirty, and even after notifying staff, there was little improvement. Clean and well-maintained pools are essential to a quality resort experience. While Francisco provided excellent service, we hope the resort will improve maintenance and better recognize loyal guests to meet expectations in future stays.

Oct 26, 2025They Did That! Wedding & Honeymoon Dream Come True
We had our wedding here & it was amazing! Because of the type of resort it is, I expected great service and amenities. I will say however, that they far exceeded our expectations. Karla was my wedding planner and she was exactly who I needed. Great lady! Monica in the spa is who I would send ANYONE to for hair/makeup/massage. There was also Mayra in the Market Café that was everything. Plus our assigned cleaning staff Dehia did some of the best work ever. She even used our balloons from a gift & decorated our bed the night before our wedding. Yaaaas ladies…they ALL deserve a raise! On top of that, the bartenders were bartenderIng (delicious drinks & can make anything) and the entire staff throughout the resort were super friendly, helpful, and just a good time. Our energy stayed on happy thanks to the wonderful people at this resort. Now, I would say 1 thing. Our wedding was the dream come true that e we wanted. No notes. They could nickel and dime you a little less, but the experience is outstanding.

Very relaxing vacation
Our room was nice and cleaned everyday by staff. We started our mornings with breakfast at market Cafe. Adrian and Antonio took great care of us while eating breakfast. We could then walk along the beach for a while. Then up to the room to get ready for the pool. We hung out at the swim up bar pool for hours. Adventuring in to town was easy using Uber. Rides only cost us a few US Dollars. Felt safe everywhere we went. On our list of places to return.
