Family Fun!

Seadust is a good FAMILY RESORT. Definitely NOT a luxury resort but lots of fun for younger kids! The restaurants are hit or miss- Good good but not spectacular. The resort staff and entertainment crew were superb! Rooms were functional, not fancy. Lots of activities for the kids! We will go back someday.

Horrible

This was the worst vacation ever. I took my 16 year old son to a hotel that I was told would fit our needs , wrong. It is geared for younger kids. My son was board!!!! Our hotel room was dirty, the couch had soiled stains every where we didnt dare sit it, the A/C didnt work, after calling for someone to check on it, it worked enough to take some of the humidity out but never cooled the room to were you were comfortable, the room had a foul smell the full time we stayed, the TV had no american channels to watch . The food in the food court was were we ate most of the time, a nice variety but it was the same for almost every meal , food was average was expecting more being it was a tropical place. We ate at Big Bens and the steak was terrible, we ate at the pasta place and the was so so , sad to say but we found we did more room service as the food the amazing. The beach area was very dirty with sea grass thought they would clean it so you could at least walk in and enjoy the ocean, no out door activities were planned, we stayed over the 4th of July and nothing planned for that day which i was a bit sadden about. I would NOT recommend this hotel nor would I do back.

Worst purchase ever!

This was our first trip taking our children, ages 9 & 11, out of the country at a cost of 4500.00. We have traveled to Mexico on previous trips as a couple and have had amazing experiences using Cheap Caribbean. Seadust offers Towel cards, wrist bands, poor overall service and HORRIBLE food for an all inclusive resort. The beach is full of sea weed that the resort does not attempt to clean up. The beach service is poor or none. While we were visiting they had minor construction projects happening around the resort as well as construction next door on a neighboring resort. WiFi is ONLY available in the lobby for free and is a 10 charge daily to have in your room. Also, most of the staff do not speak English so at times it is difficult to communicate if you do not speak Spanish.

Nice place for family

Overall, we had a great time at this resort. I took my adult daughter and 3 grand babies (14,10, 14 mths). The infinity pool was the big hit with EVERYONE of us!! Pool side service was great...snack bar right there, just walk up and grab food (all inclusive). They put on some great entertainment in the mornings by the pool that involved anyone who wanted to participate. Every morning, there was a water polo game. Of course, room service was a huge hit with the older 2 grand kids. I thought the room service menu was a bit to limited. But it had cheese cake on it, so the kids LOVED it. My 10 year old grand daughter successfully pulled off ordering cheese cake by altering her voice. She thought it was great! Regarding the food/restaurants. The best restaurant there was so busy, one night we couldn't even get in before closing. The Mexican restaurant over by the kids water park was excellent. We never made it into the Japanese restaurant, the nights we wanted to go, it was busy. The room we were given had a smell so after the first night, we requested another room. The hotel manager was very kind in helping us get the same room type down the hall, with the same view of the water. Everyone was very friendly and helpful! Overall, a beautiful family hotel. The only "complaint" I would have is that our room didn't get cleaned everyday, which to be honest was probably our fault as much as the hotels. Having said that, when we asked for more towels etc, they were brought up pretty promptly.
