Slice of paradise in Cabo
We came here to get married but Sandos Finisterra left a lasting impression on my family and friends. There is no better view in all of Cabo than this resort. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel safe, seen, and comfortable. The building is older but you learn the tips and tricks along the way. The food at Agave is delicious day and night. The pizza and sushi is so worth the wait by the pool & your wedding dinner will be the best! It’s close enough to walk across the street to the marina and there’s plenty to do around the area. Yuzi the entertainment coordinator is fantastic and fun, she’ll remember you the entire time. Carmen is the best dancer and you won’t beat her at ping pong easily, the manager Enrique at Don Diego makes you feel like a lifetime friend and let’s not forget the amazing room service staff all throughout the resort. Yesi I’m talking about you, thank you for always making our room feel so fresh and clean. This resort is not rowdy, it feels intimate, it feels like home. It’s a sneak peak of a little paradise, I hope you and your enjoy it as much as we did. Please tip the staff as they all work so hard to make it the best experience for you. We wouldn’t want to pick any other resort in Cabo than this one. We will be back, nos vemos pronto Sandos!

Amazing Resort
My husband and I went to Sandos Finisterra at the end of January/26. Our flights from Montreal (WestJet/Sunwing) were great, no issues, landing early in Cabo and landed early in Montreal coming home. Check in was great and very fast. The front desk ladies were amazing, and if you had any issues relating to your room, etc. call them and they were on it right away. We did alot of walking, we average approx. 15,000 steps per day, went into town/marina multiple days, walked to Cannery Beach, walked to Medano Beach a couple of times, etc. There is so much to see and do. We also did a boat tour to the Arch and to see whales, and we were the only ones on the tour, it was great, LOL. Saw lots of whales. But, standing on the beach at the resort you can also see alot of whale activity, it is awesome. Also, saw a whole bunch of sea lions along the marina and also on our boat tour to the arch. The resort itself is beautiful; pools were a little chilly at first but once you were in it was nice. Rooms were great, comfy bed with awesome pillows. The food mostly was amazing. Breakfast buffet was so good, the Mexican restaurant was very good, the steak house was the best, we were a little disappointed with the Italian restaurant and the international restaurant. The Cup Cake Lounge was so nice to have for coffees, smoothies, cupcakes, donuts, ice creme, etc. The shows were great, but we only saw the Michael Jackson show, Dancing with the Stars, and the show that was at the White Party. The White Party on the Beach is so much fun and again amazing food. Overall, we had an amazing time at Sandos Finisterra and would totally go back and would also recommend this resort to anyone.

Second Time Guests
My wife and I just recently returned from our stay at Sandos Finisterra, having stayed from Jan. 25-31, 2026. This was our 2nd time staying at this resort. We are not members of their Royal Elite Club. This is a great resort for families and for couples wanting a relaxed atmosphere! If you are looking for a party resort, which we were not, this is not for you. One note of caution for families: this resort does not have an evening buffet (other than on the Beach Party night, mentioned later in this review), which I know many families prefer; you must eat dinner at the ala carte restaurants. We love the size of this resort, it is not too big and not too small. We had a Marina View room, which had a terrific view of the marina and the town of Cabo San Lucas, which was just beautiful at night with all the city lights. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. There are activities throughout the day around the pool, including bingo, guacamole class, cocktail class, sushi class, painting class, water aerobics, water volleyball and movie trivia. The entertainment team members encourage guests to participate, but do not pressure you. The beach is extremely wide and free of seaweed and trash. The water at the beach is not swimmable however due to an undercurrent. From the shore or from the resort buildings we saw whales every day. Some of our favorite food items were: Chilaquilas and made-to-order eggs and omeletes for breakfast at the buffet restaurant. Shrimp tacos, guacamole and chips, and the Finisterra Burger (a loaded cheeseburger) for lunch at the Agave restaurant (palapa down by the adults-only pool). Made-to-order personal sized pizzas and sushi during the afternoon at the Pizzeria next to the lower pool. The clam chowder, roasted tomato soup, beef tenderloin and creme brulee at the Tortuga Beach restaurant down by the lower pool. The caprese salad, the artichoke heart with serrano ham appetizer, aparagus soup, spaghetti carbonara, salmon, and Tiramisu at Emiliano's, the Italian restaurant. The drinks at the pool bar, Whale Watcher's Bar and Plaza Bar were all very good. The lobby bar is very small; we did not go there. We loved the Cupcake Cafe (coffee & sweet shop). There are live shows almost every night at Plaza Finisterra, the plaza with outdoor stage at the upper part of the resort. One night during our stay they had a beach party, which consisted of a buffet dinner followed by a fire show, all down on the beach. The gym is very small, but has a few elliptical machines and treadmills, weight machines and a few free weights. It opens at 6:00 each morning. The employees at the resort are all extremely friendly and do all that they can to make your vacation special. A few of the resort employees that stood out to us were entertainment team members Carmen, Yuki and Jafet, restaurant hostesses Adi and Megan, pool area waitress Norma, Whale Watcher's Bar bartender Luis, plus baristas Abel and Amadeus at the Cupcake Cafe. They helped make our vacation special. We will definitely be back! Kevin & Michelle.

Seven Years and Still Feels Like Home!
We just returned from yet another wonderful stay at Sandos Finisterra, and after seven years of coming back, it truly feels like coming home. It’s been fantastic to see all the thoughtful improvements and upgrades over the years, while still being welcomed by so many of the same familiar faces. That continuity is special—and it’s the reason we genuinely feel like “familia” here. The staff are, as always, exceptional. A very special mention goes to Edgar, our personal butler, who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay is perfect. From day-to-day attentiveness to anticipating needs before we even asked, his level of care is outstanding. During this trip, I experienced a foot injury, and Edgar’s kindness and support were nothing short of extraordinary. He took it upon himself to help coordinate what I needed for mobility, making calls, arranging logistics, and personally ensuring I was taken care of. He followed up with me daily, always checking in and offering help with anything at all as I recovered. His compassion, professionalism, and genuine concern meant more to me than words can express. It’s rare to find a resort where the service feels this personal and heartfelt. Sandos Finisterra continues to raise the bar, not just through beautiful updates, but through the incredible people who make each stay so memorable. We can’t wait to return—again.
