Extremely pleasant experience here from start to finish - twice! We visited a few days ago, then again after we missed our flight (1-10-25). The staff is efficient and welcoming. Wonderful beach with staff ready to set up your umbrella & chairs. Great pool area & fitness center as well. Buffet breakfast is great too. Thank you for 2 wonderful stays during our trip to Puerto Rico!

Exceeded expectations during one of the busiest times of year
Wasn’t sure what to expect after reading reviews but really enjoyed our stay. Started off rough when our rooms were not ready for over an hour but Marriott offered a credit to compensate. Rooms were nice, renovated and comfortable. Staff extremely helpful across the board. Beach was large and clean. Yes, there are waves. It is not Aruba or Cayman but kids and adults were able to play in water, which had no rocks and barely any seaweed. Hotel was full but still relatively easy to get beach chairs and umbrella. Yes, there are some locals and you will occasionally catch a whiff of marijuana but really not an issue. Great location with a short walk to casual and formal restaurants, drug stores and groceries. Always felt safe even with the occasional homeless person (it is a city). For fine dining, you can’t beat Mario Pagan and Levant. Both walkable and two of the best meals I ever had. Be sure to get a nice Rioja. Food at Marriott was solid for breakfast and lunch. Bartenders very professional and resort had nice size casino and gym. Take one day to visit Old San Juan. Only negative surprise was I expected better grilled fish options on island overall.

Rooms were average but clean. Hotel lobby is nice with a good sushi bar we enjoyed. Location is good. We had an issue with our toilet which kind of threw off our experience since we were only there one night. They came to fix it and said they cleaned up after but you can tell they didn’t.

Place to be- excellent location
The staff was effortlessly pleasant and hospitable. Myrna Segura made our trip amazing! Her attention to detail should be recognized. The beach gentlemen that set up the chairs and umbrellas are hard working and keep huge smiles on the entire with zero complaints. We will be back!

Friendly, accommodating staff and some great amenities and restaurants. The beach was nice, but small and narrow, with strong currents making swimming not advisable; as a public beach, the chair setup felt disorganized and chaotic. The rooms were nice overall but lacked attention to detail (gaps in ceiling light fixtures, limited shower ledge space), and the beds were very firm with double-size mattresses that feel too small by today’s higher-end hotel standards. The pool area needs a major upgrade—only one adult pool which was overcrowded during busy season. The pool deck is worn and there weren’t enough chairs for many even by 9 a.m. They have a huge deck area with reserved cabanas for two that largely sat unused. Better monitoring and maintenance from Marriott would significantly improve the experience. We loved Puerto Rico, but sadly won’t be returning to this hotel next visit.
