    Worst service of all time

    Worst service I’ve ever experienced at any hotel ever in my life. No one looks at you at the bar standing there for 15 minutes, the ladies at the coffee shop act like they hate their lives. Mateo at the pool bar has been the only good server all week, everyone else needs to figure it out. Will never come here again even if it’s free. Rather pay the extra $1000 it would’ve cost to go to Mexico instead.

    Good Family hotel/ poor check in check out process and communication

    This is our second year going to this resort. It's a great family resort, beach, pools, lazy river and great programing in the evening for the kids. Food is mediocre and reservations for restaurants in the evening are very hard to get. If you don't jump on reservations as soon as you arrive, you may be stuck eating at the buffet each night (there is lots of good variety). We enjoy coming here for the simplicity of the entertaining our young family. Staff at restaurants, cleaning and bars are very kind. Communication with check in/ check out and reservations is a nightmare. The check in process takes forever and be sure you allow yourself at least 30 minutes + to check out (crazy). Someone always says something different when asking about a room question. I called ahead and worked with someone at the concierge who was wonderful, however, nothing that he had set up for us had been relayed to the front desk.. so we had no idea if anything was confirmed and where reservations were. Again, great family hotel for young kids and if you're not a foodie... but they must work on communication between departments as it is extremely frustrating.

    Overpriced for what we got. Have stayed at other resorts for way less with way better food and service.

    Have been to other Royaltons and this one by far was the worst and rundown. Restaurants and buffet options were not great at all. Evening Entertainment was subpar. Limited daily entertainment at pools.

    VERY DISSAPOINTING

    Overall poor experience from a guest services perspective. Wanted to tell management about our issues, but local management refused to see us. Asked in a follow up email to be put in touch with management which went unanswered. Could have been resolved at the property level, but there is a clear lack of training at this resort.

    This was my family’s third visit to this resort and it has been a great experience each time. Carlos was our butler on the last trip and he was amazing.
