Go elsewhere. Read the reviews and hotel rinses and repeat responses. Marriott should be ashamed.
This is the budget cruise ship of the land and should not be supported as a Marriott / Hotel Collection. Marriott should be embarrassed to have any affiliation with this. I am at Ambassador Elite and this by far is the worst hotel chain I have ever been at. First off; the upsell to Diamond is a joke. They give you a “butler” who does nothing more than hold out his hand, but did nothing to help me this whole trip. I asked for wine glasses. They never showed up. He told me to go to the lounge and ask for them. I asked for a dinner reservation, he told me to go to the restaurant and see if they would sit me. I have all this in a text. No help. The lounge food was not worth it. Wings cold. Flys on uncovered food. What looked like dried up onion rings may have been calamari. Booked a king suite and was told I had 2 queens. It should not bother you since you are only here 2 days. Spa treatment for $175. 80 min massage started nice. 20 min in she went to the feet and went from two points of contract to what was sitting on the stool and single finger. She was on her phone. You can tell. She knows your head is in the face part and no one can tell. This is the same experience others have had as well. What a joke and someone at Marriott should go check this out. Calls at 8:30am to try to upsell you into daily excursions. Walk through the lobby and they are trying to sell you something. $14 USD for a 20oz water at the shop? They ask you to upgrade your dinner meats. $29 for a prime ribeye. Guess what, they are out of those plenty of $69 tomahawks and lobster tails. The good here is gross at best. The sit down restaurants are still serving you buffet food. Service sucks. No one cares. Their app does not work. Their responses fall flat. You can see all their comments here are rinse and repeat. Marriott needs to take a hard look at this property and disassociate with it.

Had a nice time!
I stayed here with a group of friends and overall had a great experience. We upgraded to the Diamond Club and it was absolutely worth it. The beachfront pool access was amazing and made it easy to spend full days by the water without feeling crowded. The rooms and grounds were very clean and well maintained. There was nighttime entertainment that kept my friends and me busy and gave us something to do after dinner, which we appreciated. The food was pretty decent for a resort. Not every meal blew us away, but overall it exceeded expectations. A big highlight was our butler, Felix, who handled restaurant reservations for us and made everything smoother throughout the stay. That level of support really elevated the experience. The gym was small but functional. A few treadmills, one elliptical, and free weights were enough to get in a solid workout. I would return and would recommend this resort, especially if you’re traveling with a group and considering the Diamond Club upgrade.

Amazing Family Vacation!
Elvis the Diamond Club manager made everything about my stay amazing! Carlos my Butler was wonderful. We wanted to take him home with us. I own a travel agency and will definitely be back to stay and send many more of my clients. Very clean and food was good. Also want to shout out to Miquel who took care of us at our pool cabana.

Never Going Back
Let’s just say that I’ll never come back here again. And I’d never recommend this place to any of my friends. I was deeply disappointed with the quality of this “resort.” I’ve stayed at many different Autograph Collection properties around the world, and this has to be one of the worst ones I’ve ever seen or stayed at. I’m shocked with the volume of 4-star reviews here. Did we stay at the same resort? Let me start with positives: The exterior common areas were well kept overall. Landscaping was tasteful, pools were clean, sidewalks and lounge spaces were well maintained and lounge chairs by the beach were actually very nice and comfortable. That’s about it for positives. I’ll keep the negative commentary short & to the point: This is an old & tired property. The buildings are old & dilapidated, They’ve slapped paint over so many areas, but it looks sloppy (and lots of stuff needs repair). Broken elevators, missing door handles, cracked tiles & windows, malfunctioning fans, dripping faucets… and the list goes on. Our room was horrible! Because I am a Bonvoy (Marriott) Titanium member, I’ve accumulated tons of points, and was able to use “free” nights and points to book this 5 day stay. We booked the least expensive room (garden view) because with my status I usually get upgraded 1-2 levels for free. Before arriving, I received an email asking me if we’d like to upgrade to “Diamond” which would give us access to more restaurants, better rooms etc. I replied to ____ saying I would definitely be interested. Never heard back! And when we arrived at resort, we noticed the place wasn’t even half full for the first 3 days. They most definitely had rooms, but never offered me an upgrade for free or paid. The pics I attach with this review will speak for itself. Broken faucets, leaking tub, dripping shower all day & night. Loud frig. Broken ceiling fan. Sloppy paint touch ups throughout. Poorly repaired holes in walls. Old furniture. Moldy and stained bed lamps. Lots of mold in shower/bathroom. And mattress seemed like it was ready to be replaced. (Elevator at building 18 didn’t work, so it was stairs for us most of the week) As for hospitality… about half of the folks were friendly and hospitable, while many/most others were not. I’ve been to many hotels and resorts around the world, and would have to say that this one was one of the least hospitable ones I’ve seen. Again, a few hotel workers were very friendly and courteous, but many were rude and simply oblivious. Because we never upgraded, we were limited for food options. We tried the Rio (Brazilian steakhouse) and it was OK at best. Oceanside restaurant was like being on a cheap cruise ship. Lots of people in line for average food. Zen Japanese was ok. Beef was horrible and sushi from 7-Eleven would be better. Cook & server kept asking for tips. Annoying. Coffee shack was ok and ice cream was not gelato as advertised. Drinks were unbelievably bad everywhere. Horrible! That’s it’s. Look at pics m. And oh yeah, at checkout I had to wait 30+ mins and talk to supervisor because they wanted to charge me for my stay even though it had already been paid with points in advance. Never coming back!
