  Enjoyable stay with fixable inconsistencies

  We spent a week at Royalton Autograph, Antigua, in late January, booking Diamond Club (with butler service) and swim up rooms. The resort is set in a beautiful location and offers a relaxing atmosphere, with many elements we genuinely enjoyed. Diamond Club check-in was mostly smooth, although we experienced initial teething issues with room key wristbands and WiFi setup for equipment other than phones. These were resolved, but did take a little time. Our swim-up rooms were comfortable and well presented, with all the amenities that you'd expect, though the lack of sunlight on block 11 meant our swim-ups weren’t usable. We did request a room move on arrival, but were told that because of our bed configurations - 2 queen size beds in each room - that wouldn't be possible. Request accommodation in Block 10 if you want to use the swim-up and have a lake view as advertised on the hotel website. Dining options were varied, with several restaurants to choose from. However, there were issues with product availability during our stay, including basics such as coffee and bagels. Only once were we told "we have everything on the menu". Grazie Italian stood out for flavour and consistency; service in all venues could be slow. When we asked for hot sauce in the Caribbean restaurant, a catering size bottle of Tabasco was put on the table. The buffet offered a good range of food, including freshly cooked to your order, though the seating process was inconsistent. We particularly enjoyed the Chef 2 Go beach food stall for quick, tasty snacks. The beach and pool areas were clean, spacious, well maintained and never short of loungers, umbrellas, or towels. Diamond Club beach drinks service was slower than expected, but did come with a smile. Beach cabanas are available at an additional cost and includes service (about once an hour). Evening entertainment is variable, but we really enjoyed the Friday night DJ set. Rooms were comfortable and serviced daily. A late maintenance issue (water dripping through bathroom lighting) required a room move, which meant two of our party fully packing suitcases an evening earlier than planned, but resulted in getting the anticipated room view. Butler service was worthwhile, with Shanice and Zo genuinely trying to enhance our stay. Diamond Club checkout was efficient, with continued access to facilities until departure. Overall, Royalton Autograph is a lovely resort in a great setting. With a little more consistency, it could deliver a luxury experience. Tips: • Request accommodation in Block 10 when booking if you want a swim-up room with lake view and sunlight. • Bring an insulated cup for beach drinks. • For dining, Grazie Italian was our most reliable choice for flavour. • Try the Chef 2 Go stall near the beach for varied, quick, tasty food. • Pack mosquito repellent plugs for your room (there are screens on the balcony door but not on the main door).

  Don’t stay here.

  Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. The hotel made a catastrophic mistake and WE WERE ASKED TO SIGN A CONTRACT TO SAY WE WOULDN’T WRITE A REVIEW in return for some money (around $200) back due to the abysmal service we revived from staff here. I can’t go into detail because of the contract but 5 months later, I’m yet to receive ANY money back and have been told it’s down to my travel agent. Wouldn’t put it past this rubbish hotel to have never bothered to uphold their end of the contract anyway. They lied through their teeth about everything we put forward to them. All I will say is the queue for customer service was out the door with unhappy guests. Staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful dispite the fact that what happened was 100% their fault and any half decent hotel would do anything to correct such a mammoth error. Who knows how many of these contracts they get people to sign. They were trying to stop complaining guests from talking to each other, openly being rude and interrupting conversations. They were openly telling us not to believe each other. Issues ranged from ‘lost luggage’ to ‘stolen items from rooms’. No wonder they didn’t want us to talk to each other. If all had gone well then the awful room service, loud rooms (as a result of poor quality rooms, not loud guests), cheap nasty drinks and rude members of staff would have resulted in a bad review anyway. There were a few kind and helpful members of staff who were being savagely let down by the rude ones. Location was beautiful, it’s just such a shame this is the hotel at that location. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else, anywhere else!

  The S**t Show In Paradise 🏝️

  Oh I had a wonderful time and met the best people ever met in my life. It’s definitely a friendly place. I can’t say enough about our butlers Shauna and Rodwin, they were the best! They when over and above my expectations. We had so much fun with them. Our waiter whom I called CASS was a blast. What a great guy. We had a lot of laughs together. I can go on about everyone but let just say you could have a better clientele. The place was absolutely gorgeous. Just have one complaint. The food! I’m sorry but it definitely needs improvement. However the drinks made up for that. It was a vacation I will never forget. Thank you one and all for such a wonderful time.

  A stunning hotel with the most amazing beach.

  We stayed here in October 2025 as a family of 7 ( ages 5 36 31 62 65 66 65). It was perfect for all ages so much so that we have booked to return again this year with even more family members. The room was great, spacious,clean with nice furniture and fittings. We had a hill view so I might recommend a sea view next time as it is definitely worth the extra, saying that we did not spend much time apart from sleeping in the room as the hotel had lots of lovely places to chill grab a drink or eat snacks. The coffee shop was fabulous. All the restaurants were amazing and one night I had possibly the best brisket steak I have ever eaten. The pools were nice and not crowded with a great view of the ocean. The beach is just beautiful. True Caribbean with calm waters and safe for children. There was a nice walk around the lagoon where we got our daily steps up. I have been to the Caribbean perhaps over 30 times and would say this is the best hotel I have stayed in. Just to say that some reviews said the staff were grumpy but we found the complete opposite, they were all so nice to us. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

  Beautiful beach resort.

  Friendly staff. Beach area beautiful. Room was ok, couple of rundown broken things. Resort was very clean except for restroom at pool area not maintained ( cleaned) very well. Overall affordable for the value you get. Butler's Rodwin and Shauna Kay made the big difference. So helpful with organizing reservations arranging photography with whole family. Food was ok except for the Steakhouse. Had long wait to get service. Took over 2 hours to get our order.
