Fabulous girls trip and stay in paradise!
My mom, sister and I had an amazing time at the Royalton Antigua. The resort is relaxed with friendly, kind staff. The sun, sand and beach with calm waters were real stand outs. Literally the best buffet of all the resorts we have stayed at. The cafe/ice cream spot and Diamond Club beach side lunch were also stand out. There are a few staff members that made our stay amazing and deserve a shout out. First and foremost, our main butler, Shauna-Kay was amazing. From the time we arrived she made our stay relaxing and addressed our questions and requests quickly. She was very genuine and gave just the right amount of attention for our liking. While poolside, all of the staff were amazing. But Dermany was a real stand out. He took excellent care of us. Always making sure our drink were filled and that we were staying hydrated. At the coffee shop, every single staff member was amazing! We visited at least two times a day. In the morning for our coffee and croissants and in the evening for ice cream! Orvenia and Shanice really stood out with their hospitality and friendly smiles! The Vibe Team are some of the hardest working members of the Royalton Antigua staff. They keep the vibes positive and fun. Richard was exceptionally encouraging from our first night there to the end of our stay. The whole team really took the time to make fun activities for the adults and kids a like. Finally, we had some real stand out staff who took care of us at restaurants. I wish we had gotten more names but Stephanie, Shauna and for our last dinner at the buffet, Jakiel was just starting in his new job. He was professional, attentive and did a great job taking good care of us. The Royalton Antigua was our favorite resort those far. The small staff that were all tremendously friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We even had the pleasuring of meeting Denver the head butler several times and he took the time to talk to us several times throughout our stay. It is easy to see why the butler staff are so professional and do such a great job under his leadership. We cannot recommend Royalton Antigua enough!

NOT A 5⭐️ RESORT SUMMARY: The resort seems overall in good condition and is kept reasonably clean. Staff are generally very nice and appear to try to make your stay good. But, some are very slow and inattentive. The beach is nice, not too crowded, and we did not experience any coral. Very few rocks. There is a bit of sea grass but not excessive. There are not enough umbrellas resulting in difficulty finding shade throughout the hot days. There is no shortage of beach towels. Beach drink service is fair but spotty. We were not harassed by beach vendors but there are a few. We were in the Diamond Club with a swim out. Our buttlers, Sharlene and Coniah, were good. I appreciated someone ensuring we got reservations at the a la cart restaurants, brought up treats, fruit, rum, and ice. And they delt with any issues we may have had. But the swim up pool was very cold so we did not use it. Being on the 1st floor, we did not have to wait for the elevator to access the other 250 rooms. That was a time saver. The wifi was strong all over. The restaurants: hit and miss. Hunter was the best but still had temperature and service issues. It seems all restaurants have an issue serving hot food. The buffet was the worst by far. I recommend the “cooked fresh” stations and going when it first opens. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 30 years. The issues at this resort are management related, top down. Apparently there is a new General Manager there. I hope this review finds its way to him. Maybe he’ll turn this resort into a true five star. DETAILS: Jan 28/26 Dropped off at main entrance; not immediately redirected to Diamond club Was not offered a beverage upon arrival Air conditioning in room would not shut off…way too cold for 2 days/nights Swim up pool was very cold 72 degrees. Swim outs face North so they don’t get direct sunlight for long. Should be heated. 1st night: buffet…910pm 1/2 was empty, 80% was cold, staff inattentive-no drink service Coffee shop was great! Staff were best. 10/10. Orvienia was fantastic. Diamond club poolside lunch was good and hot, bar was good, pool good 78 degrees Resort clean Lots of towels and face cloths, great shower Caribbean restaurant: only vodka and rum; hostess poor at communication, reservation system is sub-standard: impersonal as it runs by room number if they chose to use it, not name. Our table was very wobbly. Food reasonable but crunchy bits in rice…some was over/undercooked. Overall 7/10 Wicker chair at Caribbean restaurant: wicker was all broke and digging in my legs No such thing as a drink menu on the resort but they will make what u want. But how do you know what u want? 2nd day lunch buffet cold again Casford beach service was excellent Hunter steak house: table very sticky…old finish. Need tablecloth or other solution. Server Davannette at Hunter restaurant was excellent. Excellent meal but not hot, only warm. 9/10 Day 3 cold food at Diamond Club check in area. Even checked by chef. Cleaning staff did not attend to swim up pool area: used bandaid was on ledge when we got there and was still there when we left. All pool/beach chair cushions were significantly stained and covered with bird poop. Jan 31/26 Grazzi restaurant dinner: warm water, my dinner was cold, my partner’s dinner was good, dessert was excellent, service was reasonable. Loud thumping music played until 3am! Feb 1/26 lunch buffet was great. We went when it opened. Hot food and many choices. Outside tables at Hunters Steak house are very sticky. Not dirty but need to be dealt with. The food was very tasty but not warm enough and dinner service took 1hr 50 mins. Way too long. The back of the house seems to be the issue. Entertainment: most was quite entertaining Feb 2/26 Hunter best meal yet. Best service yet from Maria. 10/10. The first time I was offered a 2nd drink. Dessert is always slow. Why? We wanted a table for 2 outside. They said none were available yet 5 set for 4 were empty outside and were not used at all as we stayed until closing. Where’s the logic in that? Music played loud to midnight Hallways are loud and echoey, many room doors slam loudly. Gift shop very pricey. Sunscreen $45USD, big bag of Lays chips $14USD! On resort local venders have similar souvenirs to gift shop and less expensive. No issues with mosquitoes or other bugs. Feb 3/26 breakfast at Grazzi. No issues. Good food and good service. 10/10. Grazzi for dinner. 1st seating. Crusted mozzarella was good but its temperature was both warm and cold. But I think it’s supposed to be hot and melting internally🤷♂️. Main course was warm but not hot. Why is it so difficult for these folks to serve hot food!??? Beach night entertainment: busy. Why only 1 bartender????? Harmony Dancers Fire Show was very good. However, a dancer approached me for a Tip. I don’t think that’s acceptable. Our last night here and we stumbled across self serve soft serve ice cream, which was very good. It is in the coffee shop without signage. 🙁 Feb 4/26, final day. Did the buffet for breakfast. Mediocre. Still food temperature issues. Bulk scrambled eggs were pathetic, very runny. I got my scrambled eggs at the fresh cooked station. The ketchup bottles are kind of gross. The tops need to be cleaned. Weather was great and consistent 26-29 degrees, medium humidity Exit survey is a joke. It should be on line and significantly more detailed. And I shouldn’t have to fill it out in front of staff! Interestingly, an airport retail worker asked how the Royalton was. I said the food was often cold. She said she hears that a lot. Very disappointing. Will I go back? Absolutely not.

Lovely resort with amazing views.
My partner and I just spent seven amazing days in one of the beautiful bungalows that the resort has to offer. Just tucked along the side of Deep Bay, the bungalows are so spacious and very private. When we first arrived at the resort we were greeted with friendly smiles from the staff. We spoiled ourselves and upgraded to the Diamond Club. Check-in was quick, and the complimentary cocktails was a nice way to welcome us. With a bungalow package, it includes a butler service. We were so excited for this service because neither one of us has ever experienced a butler service. Earl and Khem were our butlers for the week. They both went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of each day. From making dinner reservations, endless champagne, evening turn downs for our room, reserving beach chairs for us, offering any assistance in any way. Always responsive to any request or question we had. (Always made sure we didn’t run out of champagne) .Very kind and personal, truly made our stay more memorable. We ordered room service a few times, but we also enjoyed the options at the buffet. Food was tasty, options for food choices were different daily. One of my favorites was the coconut Icecream, highly recommend. Housekeeping was friendly and always did amazing job refreshing our room. The grounds on the resort are well kept, flowers are beautiful. The pool is clean, the swim up bar was always busy but the wait was never too long to place your order. The beach is stunning. Clean and the sand is soft. Also there was always someone to take your order if you’re just relaxing in your lounge chair. Over all our stay at the Royalton Antigua was amazing. We hope to return in the future.

Unexpected Issues, Unmatched Recovery: A Remarkable Royalton Antigua Experience
I was here for a week of celebration with my parents, husband and son, and we had a truly memorable stay; In Antigua, the beach is just the beginning, but the people we met here, made it a resort I will visit again and again. The staff at Royalton Antigua - Autograph Collection are top-tier! The front desk team members are warm and professional, providing resort info and getting you checked in; Online pre-check in makes it faster, and can be done via the website two days before arrival. Free wi-fi throughout the resort is a plus. Before arriving, I browsed the Royalton Resorts website for restaurant information and downloaded the Royalton app. Once there, I tried booking dinner reservations via the app but was unsuccessful; however, it was quite simple to do so in person with the wonderful staff on the dining terrace. Gourmet Marche buffet food offerings are varied, plentiful and delicious - The local flavors section was my favorite for mouthwatering Caribbean tastes. All eight of the restaurants offer delightful selections, with Hunter Steakhouse, Grazie Italian Trattoria and Nibbles being our favorites! 24-hour room service was a welcomed option, especially on departure day - The room service breakfast menu is exceptional and can be ordered in advance via the app, for breakfast as early as 6:30AM. Conversely, the dinner room-service menu could be expanded to offer more than the burger and fries type fare. Our suite was clean and well-appointed, with ample fresh linens provided. In-room requests (slippers, robes, lotion, repairs) made in the app, were confirmed quickly and arrived in minutes. On the first night, there was a loud, disturbing rattling noise in my parent's room. The following morning, it was reported to the front desk, and a seamless room change was made. I also encountered a serious room situation that almost soured the entire stay. The relevant office was notified and guest services manager, Niecer met with us and engaged in a genuinely caring manner, providing consistent follow up and follow through to rectify things appropriately. She was attentive in understanding how we were impacted, and she took required action ensuring the remainder of our stay regained its enjoyment and ended on a high note. I love that the resort size and layout is walkable, but you can also hop on a buggy to take you around. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. There are lots of daily activities for everyone, and your stay can be as hectic or as low key as you like. Whether you choose slower days and coffee at Scoops Cafe, lounging in the lobby with an enchanting bay view and brilliant rainbows or lively party action at the main pool, whirlpool or beach, a fantastic time awaits. Cabana life was everything!! The stocked mini-bar, chilled prosecco, snacks, TV and a personal attendant ensuring that we were relaxed, pampered and comfortable all day, is the type of experience that we will return for. The nightly shows were very entertaining, and the after-party at Score Sports Bar was a vibe - The in-house female DJ did not miss! The farewell notes and calls on departure day add a special touch. The hospitality service industry can be challenging, and we caught a few staff disagreements occurring in real time. Hopefully those situations were outliers and everyone working here is treated respectfully. The staff at this resort are diligent in their work to provide a fulfilling experience for guests, and I cannot thank them enough for making our stay magical✨ (Kevin, Shemar, Evol, Wendy, Stephanie, Keyanna, Staffian, Reneshe, Andre, Claude)

Amazing girls trip with my mom and sister
We experienced an amazing 10 day vacation at the Royalton Antigua. It was everything we needed it to be. The resort was peaceful, and relaxing. The beach was beautiful with calm, blue waters that we spent many hours floating and bobbing in. Staff were attentive and helpful. Any questions or problems were dealt with promptly and effectively. I want to give a few special shout outs to staff that went above and beyond to make our trip amazing. First and foremost our butler Shauna-Kay provided exceptional service to us for the duration of our stay. From our arrival until our departure, she was always working to make our stay great. She communicated with us daily, made our dinner reservations and let us know who would help us during her day off. Truly, in our experience, the butler services at this resort was the best we have received at any resort. Beach bar staff were another positive. We connected really well with Dermany and Anya, but all the staff there took good care of us. Dermany frequently checked in on us and made sure our drinks were filled. Our daily coffee and ice cream at the cafe were also bright spots in our day. Shenice and Orvenia met us with smiles and pleasantries. We enjoyed the food, especially the diamond club lunch at the pool. Fresh and delicious fruit and veggies were available for all meals. We all enjoyed our stay very much!
