  Travel Club too pushy!!!

  Travel Club reps are always present at the lobby. I understand they need to earn their money but it was quite uncomfortable going to the lobby during the day. Stop pushing the travel club so much!!!

  Not enough for the extra expense

  My wife and I travelled to TRS Turquesa to celebrate her birthday in January and I wanted this vacation to be special, as usual. This was our 15th time travelling to Punta Cana, yet our first stay at this resort. I’ll attempt to outline what we liked and what we didn’t like as we’ve stayed in plenty of resorts here, so we have much to compare to. We really wanted to like this resort and thought the experience would be different, especially since it was considerably more expensive than other places we’ve stayed and enjoyed. Likes: 1. The premium section (from our $100/day upgrade) of the pool/beach was serene and we received the greatest service from Daihana here. 2. The entertainment staff (particularly Albessard) took the time to discuss the various activities available near the pool, at the beach and I the other resort areas. 3. The Zentropia spa (Raphael took the time to explore options/pricing with us prior to booking) hydrotherapy, sauna/steam rooms and massages were A+. Dislikes: 1. The “premium experience” upgrade didn’t feel premium or exclusive at all. The “romantic dinner” had a pre-selected menu, the dinner at the CHIC cabaret had a pre-selected menu (I have shellfish allergies, which was expressed on numerous occasions, and was served shrimp/prawns 3 times) and the “premium” liquor choices were available at the lobby bar. 2. The food choices (especially for breakfast) were extremely limited if you have dietary restrictions (I have a shellfish allergy and my wife and I do not consume pork). The buffet at Helios was small and limited, yet the options at Capricho’s were better. 3. The room service menu was small, and they continually got our order(s) wrong as well as serving cold, burned coffee. 4. The insect treatment felt non-existent for the resort as my wife and I have several mosquito/bug bites over the course of 6 days (we normally don’t require insect repellant at other resorts). 5. The butler service that is advertised is not what is received; you share one or two butlers for each building (over 20 rooms), so you’ll end up waiting patiently for dedicated service. 6. If you have an interior corner room (as we had), you’ll loudly hear every conversation the butler has with other patrons as well as hear the hospitality staff gathering equipment to clean the rooms due to the utility rooms being adjacent to the butler’s desk. The bedding is hard and the room showed signs of poor repair attempts.

  Another good stay

  This was our 6th stay at TRS. The rooms we are clean and well maintained however they are getting smaller. Disappointed to be assigned rooms By the main pool and not in the villa’s like 4/6 previous stays. Have to book reservations at the adults only restaurants now. Not as convenient as previous stays. Staff are lovely and always trying their best to please and provide excellent service with a smile!!

  A holiday in two halves

  We booked a 14-day all-inclusive, adults-only stay over Christmas and New Year 2025 at TRS Punta Cana via British Airways Holidays. I'm 64, my partner 71 - both very active and well travelled. Unfortunately, our initial experience was disappointing given the price paid. Our junior suite was very damp and musty, the jet bath was dirty, and the TV did not work. Before arrival, we had used the e-butler system to select pillows and request that all alcohol be removed from the room and minibar. These requests were ignored. While the butler service did eventually sort the pillows, the alcohol was never removed. To manage the damp, an industrial-size dehumidifier was installed in the room, which ran constantly and was noisy. After three nights, the ongoing issues made the room unacceptable. We raised concerns via the customer service email sent after 24 hours, but received no response. Things only improved once we spoke directly with the Palladium Travel Club sales team. They arranged a room move and upgraded us to a swim-up suite. Although the TV still had issues, the overall experience was significantly better from that point on. The spa is pleasant but extremely expensive compared with equivalent professional treatments in the UK. Food was generally good with plenty of variety. Staff were kind and mostly efficient. Butler service was variable—one was excellent, others were adequate. The most concerning aspect was the clear difference in service quality once Travel Club staff became involved. The experience after joining was superb, but standards should be consistent for all guests, not dependent on sales engagement. Overall: mixed experience, rescued by excellent sales staff rather than proactive customer care.
