Great experience

This was our first trip to Cancun. We have 2 kids and there was things for them both to do. Little kids play area was really nice to keep 4 year old occupied then one of us could go with 13 year old to the ocean or the pool. The waves are pretty intense the times we were there. Not bad enough you couldn’t get in but to much crashing for toddlers that can’t brace for a wave. Overall we had a great time and would most definitely consider going back.

Excellent

This place was EXCELLENT for the price! My girlfriend and I stayed for 1 week and the experience and hospitality was just what the doctor ordered. They has alot of dinning options and pretty solid food ! The beach and pool were outstanding as well. Alot of beverage options and the servers are very kind and timely. Definitely recommend to any couple and or vacationers who want to get away and relax in a safe, peaceful, and professional environment! Highly recommend!

Great for kids.... But!

Ok let me start by saying the inside of the hotel needs to be updated, the outside is really nice especially the beach! Beautiful water which I didn’t expect, it has three pools and really nice staff everyone greeted you. The only thing is they can be strict and call security for anything, three other couples we spoke to said the same thing. This is not a party environment more for families which my son had a blast!... the food options were NOT good there is only one restaurant called Marco Polo and you needed a reservation we booked it twice since we didn’t want buffets all the time. Also do not go to their “meetings” it’s not a time share but they pressure you to join their club & pay $$$ we said no at the end & for our waste of time they gave us 30 minutes of a massage at the spa & an excursion. Overall I love Cancún! My recommendation would be the “Riu palace las americas” me & my husband stood there once for adults only & we had an excellent time!

Great Vacation for the Price

For the price, we thoroughly enjoyed the resort. The pool area is bigger than any of the resorts in the price range we were looking at. The beach is clean and has more than enough beach chairs and shade provided by Royal Solaris. The food was okay, it would be nice if they offered some more options in the buffets, mostly the same arrangement every day. If you are looking to go to a resort with extraordinary, yummy food, this would not be the resort for you. We spent most of our time at the American food based snack bar, or the pizza station. In December, there was a post by Royal Solaris Cancun on Facebook stating that they offered free wifi. Don't let this fool you, the wifi was terrible when it worked, and most of the time, it didn't. I understand that a vacation is not the place to need the best wifi, but we use it to check in with family at home. Overall, the resort was beautiful and clean, the drinks were strong when we needed them to be (tip your bartender), and the room was brand new and modern. We actually requested a balcony room and planned to spend the extra $75 a night. Instead of bringing it up with management, we accepted our ocean view room with no balcony. Lastly, if you are under 25 years old and traveling during "Spring break" season, you will have a deposit of $200 USD cash at check in. You will get the money back after your stay as long as the room is left how it was given to you, BUT that was the cash that we brought as spending money. We also did not receive any notice that we would have to leave the security deposit. Also note that the ATM on resort only gives out pesos. Thanks for a great vacation Royal Solaris, and thanks Cancun weather for behaving for us. We have tans to die for!! ;)

What's to Love

The breathtaking sands and turquoise waters are some of the prettiest we ever seen. Bonus: the tranquil waves that whisper your name for an afternoon swim.

Made-to-order, scrumptious brick oven pizzas served by the pool (lunch with a killer view always wins.)

Check out the theatre - a smorgasboard of shows, including comedy, Broadyway, Mayan and more. It's different each night!

Tons of super fun activities for the young ones - each day is a different theme - Tuesdays are Pirate Days (Aye, Matey!)

Full-service stress-ousting spa where you are fussed over and pampered.

What We'd Change

The resort is busy, active and you might see lots of fun families - keep this in mind if you're looking for lots of peace and quiet.

Why You Should Go

In the heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone - once you land, you'll be soaking in the sweet sun beachside in no time.

Swoon-worthy views of the Caribbean Sea from almost every spot at the resort.

For those that want to kick it up a notch and party in Cancun, a one-way shuttle will take you into town. (Your secrets are safe with us).

The two-level pool is full of nooks and crannies to explore so you can find the best spot to spend your day.

A mini-water park is a major hit with your little angels (and a hit with you - they will be happily worn out.)
