Rooms were not cleaned properly, bed linens were not changed daily and the towels smelled of mildew both in the room and the pool towels, very disappointed

RIU and RIU again !
We choose this resort because we are in love with RIU company and we are glad we did ! Is the second time that I spent my birthday in a RIU resort and can’t be in a happier place that day ! This resort is smaller that other properties that we had been before but at the same time is very quiet and charm . Everything is very clean from your room to the restaurants , workers are super kind that combined real panameñan people feelings with RIU staff training . Food and drinks are amazing ! We loved all restaurants our favourites were Italian , Grill and Asian in that order At the buffet we all were super friendly specially Yise and Maricruz All barman are great specially Ariel at the Disco ! Entertainment staff are great too! All the time the keep you entertained and they works very hard to make you happy ! I totally recommend the city tour and Panama Canal is a must if you go there ! Is also very safe if you want to rent a car and drive around just keep in mind the traffic and roads condition The beach is not as Caribbean style with turquoise waters is volcanic area so the color is very unique. Is not the perfect beach to swim if your are a beach person ! In general we were super satisfied and happy I will be back and also recommend for future travellers !

Oct 22, 2025Overall I might say it is a 8/10 maybe a 9. Definitely I will return.
Food 8/10 - Variety was awesome, many things to choose from. Room 5/10 - Humidity smell was awful. However, shower and bath was so clean. Personnel 10/10 - People was son kind, always willing to help. Pools 10/10 - 4 different pools, one restricted to kids which makes things better sometimes if you want to relax. Drinks 8/10 - Not that many options to choose and missing drinks menus to choose.

Expected more
The staff were very helpful and friendly. However, during events the MC should translate for the non Spanish speaking guests to be able to enjoy as well. Also after 10 PM the only thing available is sandwiches and chips in the sports bar
