Great Vacation!

We stayed here for a week and really loved it. The view when you walk in is very impressive. Our room was recently renovated and was really nice and modern- the bathroom was my favorite with the walk in shower. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, we tipped a lot but I think we still would have gotten amazing service without it. The food is okay, it gets repetitive and you can get the same food at the buffets that they serve at the restaurants. Every night they have shows in the theater and the drinks never stop flowing. Overall, we had a great time at this resort and would visit again. The staff and the views were worth every penny!

Great Vacation! Great Vacation!

Amazing Trip!

The resort itself was amazing! The service was unbelievable and the food options were delicious. The other resort goers we met were also fun people! A ton of options for any excursions you’re interested in. The beach area was beautiful for kind of small but we spent most of our time in the three different pools which were all great! We will be going back.

Amazing Trip!

First of all, booking with Cheap Caribbean was super easy, and everything worked out as planned. We added a private transfer with Amstar. Having Amstar pick us up and drop us off was a great peace of mind. Now the trip itself, was amazing! Let's start with the staff: they were friendly, helpful, funny, and overall a pleasure to be around. Couldn't ask any more of them. The beach: WOW. They have the perfect location in my opinion. Beach chairs do fill up fast, but we always managed to find a spot somewhere. Put it this way, we took a catamaran to Isla Mujeres, which is supposed to have the nicest beaches, but I preferred the beach at the RIU. Our room: We upgraded to the Ocean View (I highly recommend you do too - It's worth it). THE VIEW. I mean, damnnnn. It was everything. The rest of the room was pretty standard. Clean, big bed, couch area, tv. I had no complaints. Food: They have a lot of options. We tried everything, and I'd say some of the food was eh, but that being said there were many options and we never went hungry. If you are looking for 5 star dining, this isn't it. Specialty restaurant wise we did not care for the Steak/Lobster place (I forget the name). We're used to a fresh Maine lobster though, so I felt like this didn't compare, and my steak wasn't great. The Fusion place (Krystal, I think) - This surprised me. From the menu, I didn't like it, and when we were seated I thought it smelled a little musty in there, so I was ready to hate it, but trying it. . . I'd say it was the best meal I had on the resort. Give it a try! Mexican place was decent, I enjoyed my fajitas. And the buffet always had something for us. Desserts, SO many desserts! Those were great. Drinks: We were pleased with the varieties. Our drink of choice was beer, mudslides, and mojitos. Beach service was always fantastic. Not having to leave your chair is great! I'm also not a big drinker, so it was nice to have other juice/non alcoholic options when needed. Other stuff to note: They have 3 pools: 1 party pool, the main center pool, and then a smaller quieter one off to the side. We prefer the beach, but the pools do look great. The resort itself is decorated somewhat old fashioned meets modern (they might be mid-way updating everything). Decor really isn't important to us, so didn't mind either look. In the halls with carpet, sometimes there was a musty smell. I imagine it's difficult to stay on that with people always walking from pools/beaches to room. What was important to me, is that smell wasn't in our room itself and everything was clean. Just something to note, it is there. And there is some entertainment from 8P - 11P, some hit some miss, but mostly entertaining. I enjoyed that they had something in the evening, as someone like myself that isn't into going out in the nightlife scene. So overall, we both enjoyed our vacation very much and we would, and probably will return to this resort.

Amazing Trip!

What's to Love

Newly renovated in 2016, all-inclusive everything and no reservations needed at any of the restaurants.

You're a seashell's throw away from the Cancun Hotel Zone's awesome - shops, eats and clubs.

The massages at the Renova Spa. They squeeze every ounce of stress out of you.

The free scuba lesson in the pool. Dive in. It'll be a blast.

The Jacuzzi in one of the pools and the swim-up bar. Plenty of ways you can make a splash.

The resort feels like a huge Spanish castle, and this is perfect. Here, you're beach royalty.

At Los Arcos, you can get both Italian and Brazilian tapas. Delish.

What We'd Change

While the beach isn't large, there's still plenty of places to work on your tan and enjoy your own stretch of Cancun's finest beaches.

Why You Should Go

It's just 12.5 miles from the airport so get ready to get your vacay on. Soon.

You have access to Riu Caribe & Riu Cancun - kinda like you get three resorts in one.

Karaoke happens at night so rest your pipes and get ready to serenade your adoring fans.

Release your inner adventurer and go windsurfing, canoeing and snorkeling.

Mayan ruins are near - the pyramids of Kukulhan in Chechen Itza. Bring some sturdy shoes.

You can rent a scooter/moped and tour all the epic beachiness of Cancun that's around you.
