Nice Hotel but....

I enjoyed the Rui. Food was good, loved the choice of restaurants. Unlimited shrimp cocktail, what's not to love! Cocktails flowed and service was very good and staff happy for the most part. Room needed a little help. Full size mattresses don't really cut it. Mattresses were a bit hard. Suites are one room, with two full mattresses, one step down there is a couch and table. Bathroom was marble. Be careful not to slip when wet. Balcony was small and would only allow 2 people. This was not optimal as we were traveling with my mother. This resort is extremely large and if you have any walking disability I would recommend getting a wheelchair. Nothing is easy to get to and most restaurants and bars are in a different building not in the same buildings as the hotel rooms. Pools could use some maintenance. Some tiles had falling off showing a little wear and tear. Overall I give this a 3.5.

It is a shame.....

A very nice hotel, on a nice beach. It is a-shame that simply because the bar tenders at the pool were SO RUDE, that this hotel was given these marks. If it happened one time, maybe twice, I could understand, however it was EVERYDAY for the complete 7 day vacation. REALLY ?????? These gentlemen NEED to be "retrained" at best. I consider myself a "low maintenance" type of vacationer, all I want is to be treated in a manner that is NOT disrespectful. These gentlemen MISS THE MARK BY FAR !!!!! All other service was FANTASTIC !!!!!! From check-in, to room service ALL the restaurants as well as the buffet staff were GREAT. Will I return??...........I think NOT. The Melia hotels do a much better job, for the same premium price.

Rooms outdated and smell

Rooms were out dated tv did not work half the time. Drinks are horrible food was ok. Room service is only cold food pre made a day before. Beach and pool are great but that’s about it not wourth the all inclusive when there is so many paid restaurants with better service rite on strip.

What's to Love

No reservations needed at any of the restaurants.

Palm Beach is one of Caribbean's best beaches - the sands are so soft, the waves so gentle. It's paradise.

At the main pool, the hot spot is close to the swim-up bar. Lots of mixing and mingling and music.

The staff is awe-mazing, making sure everything is taken care of just for you. You want for nothing here.

Martini drinker? Pull up a seat at the lobby bar. The Espresso Martinis here are legendary.

The ocean waters couldn't be better for whatever water-adventure you're heart desires. Snorkel, anyone?

What We'd Change

Aruba's white sands and calm waters will be your favorite, but get there early to get the best seat.

Why You Should Go

You're in a prime location here and as one of the most tourist-friendly islands, you'll fall in love.

Champagne bubbly awaits you once you arrive. Cheers! Vacay starts now.

Rent a bicycle and you can tour the island at your own speed. Downtown is full of shopping & local flavors.

Picture-worthy sunsets. Grab a cocktail and perch yourself along the shores. It's worth it.

Daily bus service runs up and down the hotel strip. Bonus part: cost is around $2.50.

Some of the best snorkeling and diving in the area - coral-encrusted shipwrecked Antilla sits underwater.
